Inverter technology controls the speed & direction of the motor to provide a quality washing experience, with increased durability and stability with low vibration. The LG TurboDrum mechanism is designed to rotate the drum in one direction while the pulsator directs water the opposite way. This improves the washing action, delivering a brilliant wash. The beauty of this LG top loader is that it has no agitator. Its inverter control motor moves the water in the tub to replicate hand washing actions. Multiple water outlets assist with mixing and dispensing during the wash cycle for a quality wash. The conveniently positioned front control panel makes for easy access and the wide lid lets you keep an eye on things during the wash. With a compatible smartphone & the LG ThinQ app the washer can "talk for itself" to find a solution to help save time & money on unnecessary call outs.

Regrettable purchase for the price.

This model lacks some of the features of the 9.5kg LG Washer that I owned for previous 6 years. It lacks the Fuzzy programme that was generally around 35 minutes per wash, the inner tub cannot be moved around to retrieve clothing, and wash temperature and water levels cannot be changed once cycle starts unless you push pause, make the change, then push pause again. I have owned this machine for 2 weeks now and I am still learning its quirks. It would appear that the Eco Cotton programme is the best generalist wash cycle. I did phone for consumer help but the call centre whilst very nice appeared to be reading off a menu and did not have hands on knowledge of the product. I am happy overall with the wash that is produced.

The washing machine itself worked great. I loved how big it is. Until it broke after only a year. Its going to take 19 days before it's repaired. Thats 19 days without it. It's still not currently repaired and LG is asking for reviews about it. For something that is so new, i feel that this is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for "parts to be ordered" and fitted. Having to go down the chain of dealing with people and waiting several days for responses before being handballed on to the the next person made it quite the headache. This is the secong LG product that i have purchased recently that required repairs around the one year mark. I do not think i will buy from LG again any time in the future.

It's good

It has way more features than I'll ever need to use! I guess I'm just not that fussy about my washing. I really like the rinse cycle, it does a great job of removing as much water as possible to reduce drying time. Really useful during wet winters. I'm short and I have to really lean in to reach the clothes at the very bottom of the tub. My last machine was only 4.5kg capacity so this one seems humongous. It seems to wash everything satisfactorily. What more could I want It would be nice to be able to throw that one item I found later in after starting to fill with water, without having to stop and start again. Was a bit suprised when that happened. But maybe all washers do this these days I dunno. It's a good machine, I'm happy.

I’m loving it!

I have had this washing for over two weeks and so far….. (cross fingers)… I really love it. Initially I had a 7.5kg Simpson washing machine for 21 years. I then bought a 10kg Simpson washing machine and for the 14 months before I could get rid of it and get a store credit, it was a nightmare. I did a lot of research and this one seemed good. I love how the 9kg tub has a lot more capacity than my previous 10kg Simpson tub. I read reviews about problems with the lint filters and the automatic functions. I haven’t had any problems with the lint filters and I prefer to use the manual functions anyway. Any delicate items always go in wash bags so I haven’t had any problems with damaged clothes as per some reviews. Nice and quiet
4 February 2023

I bought this LG 9kg top loader washing machine a year ago. Overall I'm happy with it. There is no lint left on clothes. It does spin clothes properly. It is quiet. During a cotton wash cycle the machine sets the water at '4' which is not enough water so after it fills up I press pause and add a bucket of water to it and increase the number to 5 for water level. I also press an additional rinse because I don't want my washing to smell of detergent (and irritate my skin.) In the early months the machine did rip my jumpers around the neck or cuffs and it ripped by Bonds cotton underwear. There is no agitator so I assume when the water is about to rinse and spin and water is getting drained out, this must he when it pulls on clothes. It does wash my queen size doona well.

Nice machine - but!

Purchased in Aug 21 replacing a very tired 22 year old workhorse. Love the look of the machine and reviews weren't bad so we thought we'd go with LG following a full laundry reno whereby we built and measured the cupboards based on the specs advertised. For some reason the specs do not take into consideration the overall depth when the machine is installed with the massive water inlets valves and hoses that come with it. Why oh why has LG placed these valves behind the control panel which is the deepest section? The advertised specs state 690mm so we built our cupboards over standard depth at 720mm to ensure the machine is fully encased and not hard up against the wall so we were extremely disappointed about the mis-information. The advertised specs state 690mm so we built our cupboards over standard depth at 720mm to ensure the machine is fully encased and not hard up against the wall so we were extremely disappointed about the mis-information. As the specs include the height with the lid open, we assumed the depth specs was reflective of the machine being installed. I guess that's what you get when you buy online!! As my partner is a plumber he managed to have more streamlined fittings so that the machine sits back further but had we used LG's fittings the machine would be poking out way too much and we would have had to return it. In saying that the machine itself is good, very quiet, washes okay - although I think the water level sensor is not always accurate. I love the count down timer and the two lint filters are very easy and quick to rinse and again it is lovely machine to look at and easy to keep clean without the agitator. Other than the mis-information regarding the specifications, the only downside is the clothes get far more twisted and larger sized linen ends up on top creating a bubble beneath where lint can gather so my white sheets sometimes end up with small areas of caked up lint that needs to be wiped off. The other issue is the spin dry - no where near as good as my previous machine - some items need a second spin dry cycle. I have a disabled child and often wash Kylie bedding protectors which do not spin well in this machine -even after 2 spin dry cycles they still drip water when hung out to dry so in the last few colder months these items have taken 2 or more days to properly dry. Overall - the machine is beautiful, has some great features, but not sure if I would buy another one - will have to see how long it lasts.

Now because I have nothing better to o do I stood at the machine and watched it wash a few loads from beginning to end, mind blowing stuff let me tell you. My concern was that the water level selected by the automatic sensors didn't seem to add enough water to the machine so the cloths could moved around adequately to ensure clean cloths at the end. I like to run the machine full so I weighed 8kg of clothes for each load of the max capacity is 9kg. Once the auto weighing sensor did it's thing at the beginning of the wash I was surprised to see how low a water level sitting it picked level 4 out of a possible 10. At almost full capacity I thought it should be more than this. Despite my concerns the cloths come out clean and maybe this is how a water saving machine washes.im still looking inside when I put a load on, just not as much anymore. Slowly but surely it's winning me over but I'm not quite there yet.

Unhappy with this washing machine

Don't waste your money on this machine. I bought in September, hated it from day 1. I set the machine with the water level, which should have been enough, but once filled and started to wash, my clothes where being pushed up from the agitators. It had been washing for ages and the clothes that were pushed up weren't even getting wet, had to raise the water level to high. The drum doesn't spin while filling hence it pushes clothes up and not getting wet. Don't ever think you could do a 3 minute wash or refresh, as that could never happen like it states. I have to have on high water level and long washers to get clothes washed, which is a waste of water and electricity. For the rinse cycle, the first doesn't even rinse, I washed a doona cover, due to it being stuck to the sides from spinning, the water just went in the bottom of the drum without any water touching it, so not a good rinse, same when more clothes as well. I shouldn't have to wait and check the water level is enough and clothes are getting washed. A washing machine should be, put clothes in, set and walk away, this washing you cant. I don't understand or the great reviews. I sent footage to LG, Tech reckons there is nothing wrong with machine, don't see how they think that from a 10 sec video. Tried to get a refund to buy another, but LG not coming to the party. Don't recommend, save your money and buy another brand.

Worst washing machine I have every owned
25 October 2021

I have had this machine for 4 months, I had not previously owned an agitator free machine before and thought that the lack of water may be part of agitator free design, the clothes are never covered with water, I called LG and was told by the Tech this is what it does and if a service Tech came out to tell me so it would be me paying over $160 odd dollars for the service call. Clothes often come out stained and tightly knotted, my family's t shirts and jumpers are stretched and will not last long using this washing machine. The spin is not strong enough to take the moisture out like my previous 10 year old machine. The top is already scratched and I can't open the lid to throw in an odd item without the machine going into error which then needs to be manually reset. ... MoreI have had this machine for 4 months, I had not previously owned an agitator free machine before and thought that the lack of water may be part of agitator free design, the clothes are never covered with water, I called LG and was told by the Tech this is what it does and if a service Tech came out to tell me so it would be me paying over $160 odd dollars for the service call. I manually set the water level every wash as when I let the machine do it's job automatically I end up re-washing items. When washing sheets or blankets the item forms an air bubble in the machine and the item comes out with a circle of lint where the air bubble has formed. For an expensive fully automated machine the performance is poor. If there was a satisfaction guarantee on this I would send it back.
