Cordless vacuums convenient but ...

Cordless vacuums are very convenient. For general use the 2 batteries are enough to clean the house. However, tougher jobs like cleaning the car carpets, this vacuum falls well short. You need to use the boost option & that shortens the life of the 2 batteries. I can spend hours trying to get the carpets clean & invariably the batteries run out so I have to do it in 2 hits over 2 days.

I used to use Dyson vacuum cleaner. I switched to this one of LG a couple of months ago, based on the comparison that it is value for money. It is in fact - it is quieter, with comparable suction force, lighter in weight and longer in battery duration. However I found one significant flaw in its design. When I cleaned the dust and hair after vacuuming with Dyson, it was so smartly designed that with a lift at the top of the dust bin, everything dropped down easily. It was so neat and clean that I did not even need to wash my hand. The flap to open and empty the bagless bin/cylinder is frustrating as it does not stay open so you're trying to empty the contents but it keeps dropping back and so you're trying to use one hand to hold the whole vacuum and the other hand to empty while the flap keeps falling back on your hand OR you have to use your legs to hold the vacuum, one hand to hold the flap and the other hand to empty the contents. Because of the flap design as the flap doesn't remain up or detach, you can't you can't shake it out into a bag/bin. Even if you put the bag around the cylinder you need to put you hand inside the bag and try to empty and keep the flap open and hold the vacuum and hold the bag. Quite often bits of the contents like dust and debris ends up back on the floor where you're trying to empty it. We did have our unit start making weird noises and shutting off after a few seconds of use even when the battery was fully charged within less than 12 months of purchasing this unit - this has now stopped happening, but it was frustrating at the time and then sometimes it would be fine for a few weeks and start doing that again.

[Rewarded Review] A beaut little sucker!
14 November 2020

Bought this vacuum a few years ago and in the main have been quite happy. We have experienced technical issues within the first 12 months whereby the vacuum 'died'. In saying that, we contacted LG and were able to have the vacuum repaired at no cost. Since then it has been operating pretty well. One of the batteries has also 'died', but thankfully it comes with 2 so we have been able to carry on without further cost to us. I really like the fact it doesn't require a 'trigger' operation, which I think could become quite tiring. The suction is reasonable, and I'm always astounded at how much dirt it picks up in the carpet. Cleaning the parts is also easy. So all in all, I am pretty happy with our purchase.

[Rewarded Review] A9MASTER2X - extremely convenient to use.
18 November 2020

I have had my LG A9MASTER2X Stick Vacuum for almost two years and I continue to be extremely happy with it. I bought it mainly for the convenience of using a stick vacuum on a carpeted staircase but it has completely superseded my previous corded vacuum. When first bought it, I tested it on a piece of carpet that I had just cleaned with my previous vacuum cleaner and another that I had cleaned with a friend's corded cleaner (considered to be one of the leading brands). In both cases the LG stick vacuum was able to extract additional dirt from the carpet. The A9MASTER2X is extremely easy to use, comes with a range of useful attachments and and had been trouble free over the two years that I have had it. My only quibble is the very short battery life when using in Turbo mode (which I always do on carpets). This is offset somewhat by the second battery provided with the unit and the ability to charge both batteries simultaneously but even then I often have to do my cleaning in shorter stints with a break in the middle to allow the batteries to recharge.

[Rewarded Review] Best buy in my entire house, used everyday!
18 November 2020

It's so fantastic compared to other stick vacs just press a button & go no holding a button down the whole clean. It has various speeds so great for the chunky mess under my table and in the kitchen to capture this mess (I have a toddler). Very happy & impressed with the 2 batteries what a time saver. I can get at least 20-30mins per battery. My toddler loves to push it around the house. Easy to clean out and refresh the filter with most areas easy to access. We got a bonus pack of extra attachments with are amazing to get into all the spots you need. I love the fact it comes with a stand and we have said we would never go back to a Dyson or a corded vacuum again. Very happy with our LG Vac! Excellent value and money well spent you won't regret getting one. *Thumbs up*

[Rewarded Review] Fantastic cordless vacuum with swappable batteries

As I said in the title, the swappable batteries are what drew me to look into this series of vacuums in the first place, but after reading the reviews and comparing prices it blew the competition out of the water, and after roughly a year of ownership I can't recommend LG's A9 series highly enough.Firstly, the Master2x comes with the charging dock that stores and charges the second battery - note that only one of the two batteries will charge at the time with the one in the actual vacuum taking precedence over the one in the dock. I swap the batteries between main unit and dock every time I use it to try to even out battery wear. Our home has a mix of short carpets, hard wood flooring, and tiles, so the two heads suited to each type are much appreciated - they ... MoreAs I said in the title, the swappable batteries are what drew me to look into this series of vacuums in the first place, but after reading the reviews and comparing prices it blew the competition out of the water, and after roughly a year of ownership I can't recommend LG's A9 series highly enough.Firstly, the Master2x comes with the charging dock that stores and charges the second battery - note that only one of the two batteries will charge at the time with the one in the actual vacuum taking precedence over the one in the dock. I swap the batteries between main unit and dock every time I use it to try to even out battery wear. Our home has a mix of short carpets, hard wood flooring, and tiles, so the two heads suited to each type are much appreciated - they really do make a difference, though if you only have a tiny bit of hard floor to do the general purpose more carpet oriented head will get the job done on the hard floors. We have inside dogs that do shed quite a bit, even with being short haired breeds, and the two heads work wonderfully on the two different flooring types to get rid of their hair along with the usual dust and what not.The "bed thumper" upholstery head has been useful for us too - we first used the carpet brush head on the couches for said dog hair and it did get a lot of it off and it looked clean. Then the thumping head did what it says on the tin and shook heaps of dust out of the couch we didn't even realise was there. In a house full of allergy sufferers, it's a nice thing to have for sure. The suction power on the turbo (or as I refer to it, battery killing) mode is surprisingly powerful, more so than some corded vacuums my family members have - though it runs the batteries really quickly as to be expected given how much harder it pushes the motor. Thankfully you rarely need to kick this one up from the base speed, let alone all the way up to the top speed, so it is mostly a non-issue. This higher suction function is more useful when not using the powered heads like when cleaning edges or the like - the heads do the work for you on flat surfaces - but even then the in between higher speed is generally enough with the flat out turbo mode only for particularly bad spots. All in all I can't recommend this enough.

[Rewarded Review] Has potential but the battery is a disappointment
30 November 2020

The battery drains fast when not in use. My Dyson retains its charge when inactive. You will need to keep this trickle charged if not using it regularly. I use it occasionally only for spot cleans and every time I take it out of the dock, the battery is flat. This is ridiculous. The suction is good, but battery life in operation is not even as much as advertised. I didn't have enough time to even finish cleaning my car before the battery ran out. I need to use both batteries each time. Emptying the dust bin is a messy process. Dust gets stuck to the bowl and I need to use some chopsticks to pick it out.I do like the floor stand and spare battery you get. Attachments are good. But I find myself using a second vacuum cleaner to clean this stick.

[Rewarded Review] Powerful and convenient
15 November 2020

We bought this vacuum as our main vacuum cleaner in our new home. It is really powerful on our carpets and cleans small dirt on our tile floors. The rotating head doesn't work so well on large debris e.g. small dead leaves or dropped potato crisps, but I would just remove the head and suck those up without an attachment easily. Being portable makes it super convenient to clean up the house a little everyday - perfect for busy people. The only cons are: hair gets stuck in the bin which makes emptying it a little messy as you need to wriggle it out. This also happens if you've vacuumed too much and packed the dirt in the bin without regular emptying. Some people may find the vacuum handle heavy - I've found I can go for half an hour of vacuuming on carpets before it ... MoreWe bought this vacuum as our main vacuum cleaner in our new home. The Dust Collector Vacuum is a good product but is needing more battery life. The main problem that I have found with the unit is in the cleaning/removal of the residue after use, The clip holding the dust collector can and is accidently activated which requires clean-up. buy this is not the main problem. When emptying the dust collector box you have to take the filter out before the contents can come out, and when this is done you have to physically poke something down the spout to pick out the impacted dust, then you have to pick out the remainder from the entrance from the tube into the dust collector which sometimes is difficult as it gets jammed in between the wall and the diverter, I understand why the diverter is there but there needs to be a bigger clearance ... MoreThe Dust Collector Vacuum is a good product but is needing more battery life. Maybe you can get one of the designers to take a unit home and get his wife to use it, I am sure that there would be a redesign on the way fairly quickly.

Remove dust, dirt and more from your home with the silver LG CordZero A9 Master 2X Handstick Vacuum. There's plenty of time to clean the whole house with up to 80 minutes of suction thanks to LG's 25.5V dual lithium-ion PowerPack. Cleaning for 80 minutes will feel like a fraction of the time with the Opti-balanced Handle designed to reduce muscle strain on your arm and wrist while cleaning the floor. Enjoy a cleaner clean with the brushless LG Smart Inverter Motor which spins faster than a Boeing 747 jet engine to help filter dust particles. Your hard work won't go to waste with a five step filtration system that ensures most of dust particles end up where they belong - in the bin - with extra fine particles caught in the pre-filter and fine dust filter to stop them escaping back into your home. The LG A9MASTER2X gets dust out of car seats, couches, mattresses and other springy surfaces with the Bedding Power Punch soft furnishing nozzle which vibrates to help lift stuck on particles for a better clean, while the PowerDrive Nozzle lifts more dust with enhanced suction, and clean hard to reach areas with the crevice tool.
