From Dyson to infomercial to Godfrey’s, I have tried them all. As a complete neat freak, who has had jack of blowing money on branded vacuums, I was nervous about getting the a9 tower! This machine sucks everything… it’s attachments are on the money and the spare battery has not yet needed to be pulled out for a two story house with two kids! The mop function is crazy… I’ve actually used it on my carpets…windows… tiles! Wet or dry (just one thing wet the pads directly and rinse any excess water/chemicals off them before attaching them to the mop attachment) everything is new! Highly highly highly recommend.

Excellent A9T-ULTRA vacuum

I was a little sceptical at first for, in my pre-set opinion, nothing could beat a cord powered vacuum cleaner. Yet, from the first moment of usage, a sense of ease prevailed. I walk up and down the rooms - as if walking my dog indoors. The A9T-ULTRA glides with ease across all floor surfaces from wooden floor boards, to tiles, to carpeted rooms, cleaning everything in its wake. It’s also handy for clearing away, in an instant, those dropped crumbs and tidbits that inevitably find their way to the kitchen floor. In fact, it's a pleasure to use this well designed household appliance. I would thoroughly recommend it. And yes, the cord powered vacuum cleaner has almost been forgotten now.

We absolutely love our new Vac A9T Ultra; super quiet, extremely efficient, plenty of accessories to handle every job in house, 5 bedroom house with mixture of jarrah floors & carpets (including our Bordercollie's floor mats) all completed one battery; light and ergonomically excellent for my wife's hands. The ability to compress contents of collection bucket during the cleaning process saves time, the auto emptying function when returned to its docking station is amazing, no dust, no mess. Thank you for a brilliant product.

Great pet friendly vacuum
8 July 2022

After waiting 3 months for a Samsung Bespoke Jet and still no ETA if it was ever going to be sent; was recommended this vacuum. So glad I made the decision; this vacuum works really well. The amount of stuff it picked up in first go was amazing. Never seen the carpets so clean. Best part is that the dog does not react to it; so can happily vacuum around her.

Great value. Rivals the Dyson and that mop!!
18 February 2022

I went in to Harvey Norman after my V7 had its day thinking I’ll just buy another Dyson, because to be honest I don’t have time to research all the options. The sales person (who was incredible btw) showed me what I wanted, but then the LG!! Whoa, hadn’t even considered it. Tried it, seemed too good to be true. Walked out thinking…am I going to regret this …. Absolutely not. The suction is incredible, I love the mop function. It won’t get caked on stuff off the floor but I just spray those first with a cleaning product to break it down and once I get to it it lifts straight up. So good for time poor people with lots of hard floors. The tower looks great, love the feature that removes the dust from the barrel a little put off by the bags that I’ll have to replace but ... MoreI went in to Harvey Norman after my V7 had its day thinking I’ll just buy another Dyson, because to be honest I don’t have time to research all the options. Just Great!

This is the best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. I have 4 cats and a Labrador. It deals with all the fur with no issues and just does a great job. Some reviews here claim the self-empty bags are hard to get, that WAS the case initially but now they are available everywhere you buy LG vacuum cleaners so don't worry about that. Simple to use, does the job perfectly and the real party trick of this thing, put it back into the tower to charge and it empties itself! The bags that go in the tower last months too. They are cheap considering how long they last - about $35 for 3 bags. That should do you for at least 6 - 12 months depending on how often you use it. I have a large house and it does the whole house on suction level 2 with no issues. It's comfortable to use and ... MoreThis is the best vacuum cleaner I've ever owned. I have 4 cats and a Labrador. If I need real extra power I can put it into turbo mode but only get about 6 mins battery out if it in that case. I hardly ever have to do that and even if I do, there is a fully charged 2nd battery waiting in the tower - best feature ever! This isn't the cheapest vacuum cleaner around but this is definitely a case of getting what you pay for. 10/10 for this one LG. All the performance of a large plug in vacuum cleaner in a small cordless - it's a ripper!

LG ultra vacuum

We bought this product last month. So far i would say this has been the most easy to use vacuum we have bought. The pros i could say about this vacuum is that one, it is light to carry. I like how i can manoeuvre the device easily and around the corners and both in our carpet and floor boards. Second i love how its not loud to use. I have a newborn baby and making loud noises wakes him up. Using it even his asleep is very convenient as it doesn’t bother his sleep. Third of course is how it suctions. I like my carpet clean like deep clean and if i use the turbo mode it turns out like its cleaned professionally. 4th i like how it has all the attachments it comes with. I can tell that its all there most likely and to be honest i havent used all of them. I admire how ... MoreWe bought this product last month. I can tell that its all there most likely and to be honest i havent used all of them. I admire how its compact and i can keep all the attachments in one place making it look tidy. Addition to that is i can keep them all in one place meaning i dont need to find another storage place for all the accessories. I also like the fact that it empties its bin automatically. This saves me time from emptying it all the time but just put it back in and off it goes. I probably lost count on the pros of this product but i got to add also how it comes with second battery so if i am not finish cleaning i can put the second battery and continue finishing my job. Its been only a month since we bought this vacuum but i got so many hood things to say about it. Actually i would rate it 5 star but the only downfall is the price. I wish it could be a little cheaper but for its job its worth the price anyway.

Looks pretty, but way too annoying to actually use
26 December 2021

My wife purchased this based on good reviews, but I struggle to believe anyone who gave it a good review actually used it more than once. If you live in a tiny house, vacuum constantly and don't have pets, it's probably a good fit for you. For anyone with a normal sizes house and who has pets, save yourself a heap of money and frustration and stick with a normal vacuum. On the very first usage it clogged itself, dust/hair gets jammed above the collar inside the head which is supposed to used to compact the dust down. Once this happens you must disable the head and clear it out. This happens pretty much constantly for us, maybe due to having a short haired dog. Even when it doesn't jam, the capacity is so small that I can pretty much only do 3/4 of a room before ... MoreMy wife purchased this based on good reviews, but I struggle to believe anyone who gave it a good review actually used it more than once. Even when it doesn't jam, the capacity is so small that I can pretty much only do 3/4 of a room before having to empty it. Pros: * Looks good * Very lightweight and easy to manoeuvre Cons: * jams constantly, requiring disassembly of the unit to clear out. When you look at the design it's obvious why and how it happens, I have no idea what the designers thought they were doing. * tiny dust capacity has you going back and forward to the emptying station multiple times per house vacuum. * the mop, far from being a time saver, is very labour intensive. For each mopping session you need to: wet and then attach the pads and fill the water reservoir, then when you are done you have to hand wash and dry the pads, and completely empty and dry the head, it's just way more work than using a normal mop. It also doesn't clean very well because it's just cold water, you are not allowed to put cleaning products in it. * the tower station has a normal vacuum bag which you have to replace, so this very expensive system is bag to the old days of having to buy and replace vacuum bags, what a great step forward in convenience.

Quiet, Powerful, Great Features!

Yes, it's more expensive than most other stick vacs but this is LG's Flagship Stick Vac. It's a case of getting what you pay for. Firstly, it's very quiet, yet extremely powerful. The 2nd included battery which is easily swappable is a great feature for me as I have a large home to vacuum. The unit picks up really fine particles from the carpet my other big name vacuum leaves behind. The "tower" part of this unit has a really neat trick up it's sleeve. You don't have to empty the barrel. You dock the cleaner and the tower extracts the dust and dirt from the cleaner automatically. It's ingenious design and works seamlessly. The unit even connects to to my smart phone and there's a great app for the unit from LG. The cleaner comes with an array of attachments which are really well made, not cheap and "plasticy". Even comes with a power mop attachment. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for in this case for sure.

Three and a half stars

The review in the AFR digital life won me over and I picked up this vacuum on the weekend. Especially the recommendation to get the one with the mop heads- so I did. There are significant pluses with this stick vac, the main one being the self emptying function. The next plus is the back up battery- that was a major issue with my Dyson running out of juice halfway through cleaning. But is it worth paying the extra to get that mop head? Not in my reckoning. It does less than I anticipated (and I had only hoped it would lift some very light marks from tiles and wooden floors). A damp microfibre mop did a better job with about the same level of physical effort and was quicker. Not a great fan of the black on black of the tower as it is nigh on impossible to see the attachments in it, despite the room it is in being well lit with natural light. Bear in mind that the tower also takes up a large footprint, so this vacuum becomes a bit of a feature in the room, whereas the Dyson is hidden in a cupboard. I believe it is heavier to wield and all the different heads mean a bit of kit to follow you around room to room. It does have a gutsy motor, especially on turbo which gets more dust out of the Persian rug than the Dyson did. All up, knowing what I now know I would happily go for the next model down as it has all the features I need.
