I installed our LG 4k TV recently using this LG Wall Mount. I was a little apprehensive seeing it was 'open box', but it had all of the instructions, along with mounting hardware. Probably the hardest part to the whole thing was using a stud finder to drill into the studs for mounting. Definitely want to go into the studs as opposed to using anchors. It's not as flush to the wall as I'd like; however, it tilts up, down, side-to-side. I had an electrician install an outlet behind the TV so to eliminate that cord. In retrospect I would've done a recessed outlet so the plug could be hidden as well. Overall, good marks all the way around.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great bracket that allowed us to have a bigger tv installed in a cavity in the wall. Without it we would have to of kept the smaller tv. The only thing that could be better is that it is a bit stiff to move (which I know is the case with new products) so with tv's being very slim these days, I was a little nervous pushing tv into place but all went well and we get to enjoy a large screen tv.

LG does not provide a lot of information on this wall mount. While it’s great that it’s nearly flush to the wall, it seems to be limited in application. First, it looks like it works only with 16” studs. Second, it does not have enough flexibility to locate the tv eccentric to two studs. So if the center gap between the studs is not exactly where you want the tv - too bad. Most 3rd party wall mounts have a back plate that spans 22-36 inches. That allows you to locate the tv anywhere you want between and across studs. LG could alleviate that by providing a wider wall plate that can accommodate more flexible positioning. Let’s see if the next generation is an improvement. The swivel and distance it can be pulled out is very limited. Better for safety but not good for having better viewing angles in a big room.
This mount worked well for basic mounting of my 65" CX. However, as it is fairly stiff, I don't believe it would be the best choice for customers who wish to frequently articulate (adjust) the viewing angles. (Side-to-side wotks easily, but up-and-down is pretty stiff.)
Pros: Solid built to last. Very easy to fit and TV is very secure. TV can be pulled away from the wall making it easy to plug in the various leads. Cons: Nil
I ordered this to compliment my LG CX 55. LGs website recommended this website for the mount. It came and is completely scratched, stripped, missing pages, missing screws, and just clearly used. Don't buy from here if you're expecting a new item.
