LG SP70Y 3.1.2ch 380W With Meridian & Dolby Atmos Soundbar

2 weeks ago I purchased the LG C1 TV and then 2 days ago I purchased this soundbar. I am having major issues with wifi interference between my TV and soundbar unit to the point that anytime I stream anything online like YouTube etc my TV will begin buffering and wifi signal becomes poor. However anytime I power off the soundbar I instantly get great streaming on my TV. Being the fact the TV and soundbar are made by the same company u would expect that everything would work as it should and considering how much I paid for it also. I have spoken to LG and they say no info is available and could not supply a remedy apart from me getting someone in to look into the issue for me and correct the frequency issues

A great soundbar with only one small issue

This soundbar, along with the additional SPK-8 surround speakers has improved the sound from our new TV no end. The only issue we have had was that initially the subwoofer would keep cutting out. It turned out our LG TV, being connected to the internet by wifi was causing interference for the wireless subwoofer. Once we used a cable to connect the TV to our router the issue stopped. The Dolby Atmos sound is a real improvement on our previous surround system

Best entry-level price soundbar

This is the first time we owned a sound bar. We want to try first the entry level and see the difference. We were sold! Definitely a heaps change from the internal speaker from your TV. Pairing of the subwoofer and the soundbar is automatic, you just turn on the s/bar, no fuss!

Decent sound

This soundbar provides decent sound, however the packaged modes (cinema, sports, music, etc.) are not really all that crash hot. Most sound shallow and tinny. I've settled on Cinema, because that's probably the best as far as movies and gaming are concerned. This soundbar is reasonable for the price.

Great Sound from just a Soundbar!

I've had the LG SP70Y soundbar for over a week now and am very impressed with it and the sound it produces. After playing around with the sound settings I have found the "Cinema" setting works best for most content and I also increased the subwoofer output in the settings. Movies sound really immersive and games sound great too. It would sound even better with the LG rear speakers (SPK8-S) which are an extra purchase and dont come included with this soundbar.However if you can get this on sale and then buy the SPK8-S rear speakers you can get yourself a great performing 5.1.2 soundbar that does Dolby Atmos for a fraction of the price of what the SP9YA costs. This soundbar here is the best bang for buck in the new SP range imo (and even more so when on sale!).

Great System

I do like my bass and went from a Sony Muteki 7.2 system to this for simplicity and extra space. So far cannot fault it, sometimes it requires a power off and on to reset the sub to sound bar connection. I will eventually get the rear speakers to add a little more depth to the sound.

Great soundbar

This is a great soundbat. I got it, with the separate wireless surround speakers, to go with my LG tv. Except for one small issue it works perfectly. When I first got it the sub would cut in and out. It turns out the tv wifi was interfering with the wireless sub connection. Once I used a cable to connect the tv to the router there were no more issues.The soundbar is great. It has a very clear soundstage and the surround speakers improve the full surround effect no end. The Dolby Atmos is really great, this is the first time we have had it at home and it can be amazing.I would thoroughly recommend this sound bar

Mid price point with above mid performance

Was skeptical of spending this much money on a sound bar however absolutely no regrets. Integrates with the LG TV and remote perfectly. I see this as a mid price point purchase but feel it above well about mid point quality.

OLED TV and Sound Bar - A Great Achievement

I have found the quality of the OLED TV and Sound Bar up to my expectations and the installation service also first class.Perhaps the only criticism I have is that the set of instructions on how to operate everything could be greatly improved in clarity and content.This is particularly important for older people who are not so tech savvy.

Solid sound bar

Sounds incredible. Big step up from the cheaper sound bar I was running. Noticeably simulates surround sound without using rear speakers. App support is great for fine tuning the sound.
