Fans look great, best on the market IMO - lighting is excellent, and it doesn't matter if you have them as exhaust or intake, both sides look just as good. I also like how it's a perfect square shape, looks really clean.Cable management is pretty nice - just 2 cables for a row of 3 (or even 4) fans. Unfortunately, it does come out at the end of the fan, so you'll need some zipties to keep the cables down.Noise levels - pretty bad, the RPM range is 800-1900, i.e. the minimum RPM is above 40% PWM. Most fans can run at 20% or even 0% PWM (and most fans start to get loud at above 500RPM). Don't get me wrong - at load the noise is pretty good, it's just at idle that they're louder than they need to be.Fortunately - if you have an ASUS motherboard you can fix this ... MoreFans look great, best on the market IMO - lighting is excellent, and it doesn't matter if you have them as exhaust or intake, both sides look just as good. Amazing fans, not for budget builds.

My system is currently running 10 fans (6 of which are the 120mm AL variant, mounted with 3 at the top and 3 at the bottom of the case). The daisy chaining is done properly, adding no additional cable mess compared to NZXT’s attempt (simply just snap the fans together and add a fan cable to one end).Included in the 3x fan package is an RGB fan hub with 3 available ports for RGB and Fan (this is the lowest quality part of everything, however it gets the job done). The RGB lighting is great, and even though I’m not a fan of RGB on the actual blades these fans look amazing. Like everything Lian-Li, with high quality and engineering comes high price, and at $115 USD a pack of 3 is no small purchase. In terms of software, L-Connect is bare-bones, but it gets the job done (I found that setting the fans to PWM and adjusting the curve in your BIOS is the best option, as there is no way to make a curve through the software). If you are planning a build that requires additional fans and has a tempered glass or other transparent side panels, these fans are a great option. I think for the extra cost the quality and aesthetic these fans bring is absolutely worth it.

The modular connection of fans to each other and the reduced number of wires make the installation process so easy. The fans rotate between 800 and 1900 RPM's which makes them ideal for case fans. Still waiting for Lian Li to market the 140mm version of these fans. This would complete the nine-fan setup of my computer. Other fan manufacturers should consider following Lian Li's example and create unique fan connections while reducing the number of cables needed to run the.Welol done, Lian Li!

Great fans, but…
20 June 2022

These fans are quite nice. They connect together and only need 2 cables to plug into the fan hub, so it makes cable management a bit better. Rpm range is from 800 to 1900, and they remain relatively quiet. Not as good as Noctua, but still pretty decent. Nice range of rgb options as well, although I mainly have them set to a static color or off.Now the reason for the 3 star rating. I’ve bought two of the 3 packs, and have had 2 fans, one from each pack, fail in less than 6 months since purchase and install. The first fan started to make a rattling noise, which I could do a temporary fix by tapping the top of the fan. But after a short amount of time, the rattling would return. As for the 2nd fan, it just stopped spinning. I had them all set to the max speed, but 1 of them was spinning at just 400rpm. Possibly even less. The limited 2 year warranty has been great. Easy to send a request, quick to get a response, and replacement fan. However, I think $115 for 3 fans + hub is just too much money, especially having 1 fan fail in the first 4 months, then having a second fail just 2 months after the first.

Inferior to SL120s
9 April 2022

Reminder, this is a 4/5 Star review. So instead of regurgitating why these earned 4 stars which most other reviews have done, I want to explain why I'm docking a star for them. While these fans might hit perfect for some, the lighting control and options were certainly inferior to the SL120 units.Because the frame is slightly larger, there is just the slightest performance increase. But, if you are getting these for 0.5*C performance increases at the sacrifice of visuals, then you are probably looking at the wrong fans in the first place. So do not pay extra for a literal fraction of performance increase unless this RGB style is for you. Case thematics look much better when the SL120s are used!

Lian Li AL120 Great fans, wonky software and controller
22 March 2022

The fans installed easily and worked great for the last month. Then this morning I had been working for about two hours and the RGB on the fans went dead. Changing controllers did not fix. It seems that the Lian Li software developed a conflict with other software. Uninstalled, reinstalled to no avail. Found I could get some RGB working by pulling the USB connection to controller. Still troubleshooting. This has been a complaint that many motherboards stop seeing the controller connection.

Nice idea but Flawed
11 January 2022

I thought this was going to be a fantastic product. I've always thought Lian Li was a good company. And the idea behind it is kind of genius. However, the execution of the product is seriously flawed. You might get a set of these working properly. But I'd bet you'll have to fiddle with it and probably uninstall some other piece of software to accomplish this feat. BTW I did get my fans working... Sort of working at least. I just can't run the 'Connect 2' software or it refuses to run and promptly turns the RGB of the fans off. I also have to control the fan speed through my BIOS.

Quiet!
4 April 2022

Super quiet, even when maxing RPMs out. The fans are all on 1 4pin cable, which makes it really easy to install. I have my rad fans plugged into the AIO and the bottom fans plugged into the 3090ti, so they react to their specific needs. Meanwhile, the second cable is plugged into the Lian Li controller for RGB. Really cool design and very happy with them so far. Pictures provided... Under extreme load, my 990K never gets past 55c and my gpu never gets past 68c. But the gpu isn't on an AIO, so these temps are pretty normal and safe.

Simple to Set Up, Works Well, and Looks Amazing

These fans connect together without the needs of extra wires. I purchased a three pack since my OEM case fans had the bearings going out and the grinding noise from there was just to unbearable. Compared to my old fans these air noticeably brighter as well as noticeably quieter. As of right now I would say the only CON I have for these fans is the software for them is not as nice as some others like Logitech or Corsair, but this is not a deal breaker by any means. (especially since I use armory crate for all of my lighting anyways and there has yet to be a software out there to be as terrible as that one.)Overall I would say these are a great purchase that I would make again in the future.
