buyer beware - very inaccurately high readings. has been accustomed to Abbotts Optium Neo, however decided to see if the Lifesmart and its Haematocrit testing would justify as I found myself without strips on the Neo for a while. TLDR; disappointingly inaccurate. 1). Unlike abbotts - there appears only very stream-very thin amount of blood being passable into the strip. From years of experience = less blood = ^ chance of erroneous readings. 2). The glucose strips are not single packed and instead came bottled. Debateable whether or not this affects readings. But certainly one to think about as the strips are contiously exposed to surrounding humidity and air each time it's opened & closed. 3). The haematocrit facility so far seems interesting, although again still ... Morebuyer beware - very inaccurately high readings. has been accustomed to Abbotts Optium Neo, however decided to see if the Lifesmart and its Haematocrit testing would justify as I found myself without strips on the Neo for a while. The haematocrit facility so far seems interesting, although again still somewhat erroneous as it does not even align with their approximate general claims. That is - lower HCT = higher glucose readings. In my case = the HCT seemed all over the place. Not only at times it appear low. but also at times on high readings ~ it always correlate with HIGHER glucose readings as well. One expects to see the opposite as per to their claims (higher HCT = lower glucose readings). Of the worst ~ Expect to see not only baseline readings much higher (at least when compared to Abbotts and undermy own N=1 experience) but also prepare to see comparative deviations as much as 1.5 (yes, one point five) MMOL even HIGHER increase of a reading ~ all in just a matter of minutes. This is coming from someone who practice IF diligently for years and did not expect to see something really high from borderline high 4's mmol territory then all of a sudden to 6.1 MMOL (SIX POINT ONE) in a matter of minutes. DO NOTE HOWEVER - that this is only glucose testing. I am yet to test ketones as the price per strip is awfully eye-watering. I can confirm I bought the unit brand new with everything in their tamper proof evidences intact. I setted the date and time as accurate as I can to the dot before use. I have tested on both unwashed hands vs rewashed hands. Unsanitazied hands vs sanitzied hands (wiped to dry of course). All without consciously exaggerating blood outputs. Lifesmart's claim on "exceeds the current ISO 15197:2013 vs lab results" seems bold and impressive. Yet this confidence seem misplaced by N=1 testing. Thank you nourishcottage for selling the machine.+ 100 strips for humble $37. Yet I cannot see this beyond yet another corporate lure for us to shell out more $$$$ for their control solution "just to see" if the machine is accurate. TLDR; buyer beware.

To test this machine I had a standard venous blood test and immediately after tested Glucose and HCT on machine. Both Glucose and HCT were within 1 point of Venous blood test results. Very happy with accuracy.

Good item it seems calculate glucose and Ketone correctly but not sure about HCT ratio. HCT ratio is irregular.
Took 4 times to work out how to use it for blood glucose, still not used ketone test yet, waiting on the strips and Bluetooth dongle from lifesmart. It's good it also does your hct percent too
Easy to use, quick and painless. Monitor stores readings so you don't have to remember - bonus!
It does not work. It is rubbish. Never buy from Medshop again.
Exactly the same as KetoMojo. Just a different branding. Cheaper and just as good.
Sorry can't review this item as no ketone or glucose strips in kit...havnt got around to ordering...also sphyg kit has no stethoscope...needles listed as 20mm but actually 19mm which i have.
this meter appears to work well, both for ketones and glucose. It came with a lancing device and about 10 lances. I believe it came with 10 free glucose test strips, and I had to order the ketone strips separately. Once I found that the device works, I ordered more strips and lancets. Only problem I have is getting enough blood out of my finger and onto the strips! Not the device's fault. I'm hoping that the device manufacturer keeps making the strips, it is not a "big" manufacturer, and if they go broke, there is no guarantee that I will continue to be able to use it.
