Avoid buying if you need a bucket seat!

We bought this swing set 3 years ago. Overall excellent quality and a good value. However, some of the galvanized metal on the top chains and chain brackets at the top have already started rusting. Perhaps they should paint all the chains instead of just the bottom portions to prevent this from happening. As all the painted parts are in like new condition. Besides that issue we're happy customers.

Together, we were able to walk the finished set up onto its feet with ease. One of my adult sons later came by so the guys could move the assembled upright set to its preferred location (I personally lacked the strength)._This set arrived in two sturdy, well-packed boxes, every piece packaged with exceptional care._I love the impressive size of the set once constructed -Wow! Even I can swing to decent heights with the kiddos! That the set will accommodate my growing 'grands' and their friends for years to come is the #1 reason why I chose this Lifetime brand; sure to last!_I am also impressed with the set's hefty makeup from its 16-guage steel, the 3" diam legs and top swing bar, to the rubber encased chains, and thick belt-seats (comfortable even for my generous behind). It puts the standard size backyard swing set to shame._I truly appreciate the earth-tone color option as well, that allows this huge set to so nicely blend in with the yard and gardens._Lifetime's customer care is A+, offering prompt responses to inquiries! The only improvement that I would suggest to Lifetime is that the swings' chains should be proportionately longer, given the set's tall height. My 5-yr old, tall for his age grandson, with the chains set at their longest, is able to hoist himself up but cannot get started without a helpful push, or slow down with out a grab as his toes don't reach the ground (or he'll jump off mid swing!). A younger child would probably not be able to get up onto the seat without being lifted. We will likely invest in chain extensions and clips.Overall, I and my family, both young and old, are very happy we chose this Lifetime swing set and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sturdy, durable set for the swing-lovin' kids in their lives, and for the kid in themselves! (I love to swing!)

Great company, great product.
15 September 2023

We bought this 11 years ago and my two daughters have used it extensively and still do. So much so that they actually wore out the metal ring in the seats where the chain attaches! I contacted the company and they happily helped me get two replacement swings which were easily installed. Great company, great product.

Great for older kids
25 May 2021

My tall 7 year old and 5 year old love this swing set. We didn't want anything too large and since they are getting older, we wanted something they wouldn't outgrow too quickly. The trapeze bar is really fun too. My husband and I put it together and we did have trouble with the final few steps lining it up but we figured it out. There is a helpful youtube video that we referenced. This was our best "pandemic" purchase to get the kids out and playing and perfect for little breaks throughout the day without having to walk to to the park. I love the colors and also that we don't have to worry about restaining a wood set or bees. I wish Lifetime sold mats to put under the swings since our grass has worn out and it would just look nicer. Great swings set!

A great, sturdy, UNIT of a swing set! Our boys (6 and 9) love it. The earthtone colors really blend into our backyard... is it weird to say it's nice to look at?! It's worth every penny.Assembly is straightforward, but definitely watch the great YouTube assembly video (link is on the manual cover) provided by Lifetime a couple times (or watch it during assembly) for the best way to approach certain assembly steps. The BILT app is helpful too, but I found the YouTube video coupled with the paper instructions to be the most helpful. The packaging is extremely well done, all the components are wrapped in plastic and/or foam. You will also definitely need a ladder or a step stool to hang the swings. All of this is noted in the instructions.Assembly time is accurate, expect to spend at least an afternoon putting it together (I split it up over two days).

Large, Sturdy and Made in USA (mostly)

We ordered Model 290038 for our grandchildren in March and just assembled it yesterday (20Apr2020). Assembly took about three (3) hours following directions exactly. All the holes are pre-drilled and hardware fits; however, it takes a second adult to help align it so the bolts can be inserted and for the final assembly to stand up. It is much larger and more robust than the typical swing set sold in toy stores. Allen wrenches are included, but you will need 1/2" and 5/8" open end wrenches, Also a screwdriver for one step. Packaging said it was made in USA. The two seats and trapeze bar are labeled made in China. Parts are not labeled so you must study the drawings in the instructions carefully. It is so tall that you could sink the four legs into the earth and it would still be tall enough. At surface level, it is about 9' tall.

Exactly the swing I was looking for ! Bought online in May and was delivered in 2 weeks. First - we are a family of 4, who all enjoy a quick swing whenever we are taking our 7 year old to the community playground! With this pandemic the community playground was out of bounds - so I was on the lookout for a strong sturdy swing that would be able to support my 7 year old and also would ocassionally be used my teenager and even us! This 10 feet swing fit the bill perfectly! A bit of a struggle on the setup - you definitely need 2 able bodied adults in putting this together. Luckily I did not have to call up for help. The end product is a sturdy swing that my 55 lb 7 year old can use for her acrobatic swings. The teenager is more cautious- and realizes that his weight is more than the recommended weight- but he does swing pretty comfortably. The swing is not ‘concreted’ to the ground but because of its weight and good construction - is quite stable. Well done Lifetime!

This swing set arrived in less than a week from ordering. It was well packed and all parts were clearly labeled. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I love the subtle colors that fit nicely into our natural landscape. My 10 year old grandson helped put it together. His 7 year old sister loves to swing, and he is enjoying the monkey bar!

Still going strong after four years
19 May 2022

After lots of use and being uncovered in Wisconsin climate, the set is rust free and still looks and works like new. I mistakenly read the weight limit (it’s 405 total all in and roughly 150 lbs per swing; I missed the 150 figure and thought each swing was good for 405 lbs) so my autistic son who LOVES to swing is now double the weight limit so we tell him to swing gently and I swap out main bolts for new ones every year and inspect the hardware weekly. But the swing set has held and still looks great after four years of heavy use. Getting replacement bolts and things is simple with Lifetime’s superb, second-to-none service (at least via their 800 number here in the states). Was a little tricky to put together.
