I use both android and iOS so i try a lot of different attachments and accessories from both systems. I have an older iOS tablet that i put back in my rotation and since the old cord looked a little too abused, i took out a brand new apple store bought cord to use with it. Granted the tablet is a few years old and sometimes with Apple products, the charging gets very unstable but the new authentic Apple cord makes charging so incredibly hard. Most often it will just show that it isn't charging and other times it will charge for a few seconds and stop. I wasn't sure if it's the cord or the ipad attachment part malfunctioning. I bought this extra cord when i got my ipad so it's been several years but only started using it recently. I doubt i can still get a refund at this point but even if i could, i am not sure how happy i would be to have to look through if i kept any records of the purchase and bring it into the store to get a refund. For a company that tries to force people to only use their own overpriced accessories, at least get it right and have better quality control! This incident has made me love my Anker cords even more so.

If this was not made by Apple I would never buy it. So many third party manufacturers have cables that are covered with heavy material and most importantly, have tension coverings at the bend points that prevent breakage and stronger plastic at the end that plugs into the device. EVERY Apple supplied cable will fail at the same place - the plastic at the Lightning port will crack and ultimately break exposing the wires. Others have solved this issue. See the picture above of a non Apple supplied Lightning connector for a great design that has outlasted 3 Apple brand Lightning connectors. I’m actually surprised since the other users I know have the same issue and it seems a redesign and replacement should have been made years ago. So why did I buy this again? There must be some electrical reason that causes my iPad to not charge (off of my genuine Apple supplied USB plug) when using a non Apple USB-Lightning cable. It wasn’t charging half the time and I switch over to an Apple cable and it charges right up every time. But I have to treat it with kid gloves so it doesn’t break. Really though, no matter what you do, it will break: death, taxes and your Apple made Lightning connector will split at the connection point are the only sure bets in life.

Of course, 3 ft. is too short for comfort - but I needed a C-to-C cable ASAP, and it was the only length available. What I didn’t expect and was very pleased with is the snug fit of the connector to the charging port. It doesn’t jiggle around loosely and fall out with the slightest bump. In fact, I called the local AT%26T (my carrier) store to see if they had C-to-C cables. They did; 6-foot length which I would have preferred . . . BUT NOT AT 5X THE COST! Are they nuts? On top of that outrage, AT%26T’s cables are the ones that I’ve had chronic problems with over the years in terms of fitting into the charging port! What a relief to find a good, inexpensive one at Walmart. *whew!*

These chargers do not last long. I thought I would buy them at Walmart with a 3-year warranty. If you buy in store you only get a 2-year warranty for the same price as a 3-year. I order curbside pickup to get a 3-year warranty. Curbside pickup refuses to give a receipt for their purchases. One month passed and the charger broke. Walmart will not return without a receipt. The warranty company also wants a receipt. I paid $25 for one and got $21 back. I did not get refunded for the warranty. I was offered free replacement by mail (without warranty and without receipt) This purchase was a replacement for the charger that lasted about a month. The piece that plugged into my device broke off the charger and into my device. I am happy that the broken piece was removed ... MoreThese chargers do not last long. The piece that plugged into my device broke off the charger and into my device. I am happy that the broken piece was removed from the device, otherwise, I would not be able to ever charge the device, again with the broken piece inside. These chargers are cheaply made, overpriced, and their warranties are not honored without receipts, you do not get a full refund without the receipts. Next time buying elsewhere since not warrantied without receipt for full purchase price here.
The Apple Lightning cable is a reliable and essential accessory for Apple device users. Known for its durability and compatibility, this cable offers a seamless connection between devices and power sources. The MFi (Made for iPhone/iPad/iPod) certification ensures a secure and efficient charging and data transfer experience. The compact design and sturdy build contribute to its longevity, making it a preferred choice for many users. While it might be considered relatively more expensive than third-party alternatives, the assurance of quality and compatibility with Apple devices makes the Apple Lightning cable a trustworthy investment for users seeking reliability and performance.
I hate apple cables I hate the way they price gouge you even with the newer standard cables they figured out a way to make them not standard. Apple gets ya going in to the door then they get ya with no repairability expensive cables and a software store. The problem is iphone and mac just work better for audio and video production than a pc so I am stuck with it. I just wish these cables would quit dieing. They get dirty and the connectors wear out fairly quickly. Sadly the apple cables seem to work slightly better than the non apple cables and I can't help but think this is a software design to keep you just buying apple and not a problem with the actual cable quality.

I bought this cable recently when I needed a replacement for my old one that was nonfunctional. I was looking for a cable that was durable, fast, and compatible with my iPhone. I decided to go for the Apple - 3.3' USB Type A-to-Lightning Charging Cable because it had good ratings and reviews online. I am glad I made that choice because this cable has been amazing. The cable is made of high-quality materials and has a sturdy design. It does not fray, tangle, or bend easily. It has a smooth and sleek white color that matches my Apple devices. The cable is long enough to reach my outlets and give me some flexibility in using my devices while they are charging, but I do wish I could have gotten an even longer cable.
