I agree with Bagoday, it's a lovely yarn to work with. Of course, cotton yarn will separate a bit during work because it's wound thread basically. But, you expect that going in. The end result is a solid, beautiful stitch that holds its shape really well, and becomes part of the cohesive "fabric". Some colors are bright, others are soft. Together the tones work nicely. The best thing about it is that it's not a stiff cotton, so it doesn't feel "industrial" like a rope or twine. Excellent yarn.

This product is not what the website says it it. The website cites 186 yards per skein. The actual skein wrapper cites 157 yards per skein. I purchased what I thought was a certain number of yards. I received well less than what I purchased. I am not satisfied with the product, as it is not what I purchased. It is inadequate.

Disappointed that the color was not the periwinkle that it looked like on my screen but rather a regular grey. With the name "rain cloud" what does that even mean? Grey, purple, blue or a mix? It's soft but doesn't feel like Pima cotton to me. I'll probably return with some other yarn that did not meet my standards.

This is a BEAUTIFUL cotton yarn (for the reviewers who said this yarn has no sheen like Patons Grace yarn does, she needs to know that Patons Grace yarn is a MERCERIZED cotton; look at Bagoday review of this yarn above. She has an Youtube channel and has reviewed this yarn where she talks about this yarn performance). This Pima Cotton Yarn is a natural luxurious plant fiber yarn - I do not use nor recommend acrylic or polyester yarns; synthetic yarns are bad for your skin and our planet. I am SO glad that Joanns is carrying this yarn Online and would love to see it offered in its stores as well.Thank you!
I originally went to Joanns to buy some Lion Brand 24/7 for a new crochet garment pattern I was designing. But when I saw and felt the Pima Cotton I bought it instead. It's a very soft worsted weight cotton. A lot of the other cottons I've tried from Joanns are scratchy and not appropriate for garments. But I really love the crochet sweater I designed with this yarn. I also love the colors. They are very sophisticated and wearable.
Made a lovely crochet bag. Beautiful colour. My only complaint was the cotton ‘stranded’ while I was crocheting, which was rather irratating!
I was looking for a soft cotton yarn that was easy to work with and this was it! I've used other cotton yarns that are stiff and hard to work with causing my hook to almost feel "jerky" as I'm working a project. Happy to have found a yarn that's enjoyable to use and doesn't split easily but I'm disappointed that I can't get more than 2 1/2 wash cloths from a skein.
I really do love this yarn, BUT in multiple skeins I came across a knot in the yarn. For crocheting a blanket it was simple enough to work around that, but for the cost of this yarn, there shouldn’t be knots. I’ve made a 28inch baby blanket and used almost 10+ skeins. Also for the blue/teal I did find discrepancies in color, so be careful and make sure your yarn is from the same dye batch! It is very soft and I’m very pleased with how it worked up. Love this yarn, just don’t love the price, small skeins, and knots.
The skein completely fell apart into a massive tangled mess. I don't center pull yarn and haven't had this happen with other yarns. I lost roughly a third of the skein after hours of untangling because it's so tangled that i can't even cut the knots out to save some of the yarn. There are a lot of stray fibers wrapped around the yarn that cause tangles, so I suspect that's what caused it. Save yourself the trouble and buy a different yarn instead.
This cotton is the softest yarn I've used! I love how smooth it glides through the hook and the end product is amazing. The muted colors are attractive and blend well together. I will buy again and again!!
