Like many, I was very concerned when I found out this has 11g of sugar per serving. I eat a low-sugar diet in general, and I’m not looking to add added sugars anywhere. Unless you have a specific reason medical, weather, etc. you should not be taking this every day because you don’t need it.That being said, when you do need electrolytes, you also need some glucose to help them be absorbed. So don’t be surprising at the 11g of sugar. I’m not clear that that specific amount is necessary, but it’s certainly a much more sensible option than Ade drinks with 40g per can.My only real complaint is that they added Stevia for flavor. There is no such thing as free sweeteners—they all impact metabolism and insulin resistance—and should all be avoided to live a healthy life. I am willing to put up with it here because it makes the saltiness easier to go down and because I believe in the other ingredients.You will notice that this contains a decent amount of sodium. This is important because many of us lack sufficient sodium in our diet yes, you do need some and sweating can deplete electrolytes faster or slower depending on the person and conditions. Sodium does not lead to dehydration—that is a myth that’s all too easy to fall into. Sodium helps your body to retain moisture, so the other water you drink stays ins.

These liquid IVs are just amazing. I live in Florida and I workout pretty persistently, in my garage with no AC. I've had some workouts that were so intense that after the workout, my body started to vibrate and lock up, leading to being paralyzed going into full dehydration mode, this has happened to me twice. The first time this happened, I was in a state of paralysis for a good 3 hrs, hr 1 I had another brand of electrolyte powder, but didn't think to drink it until after about an hr, after drinking a full jar of pickle juice and about 5 waters, nothing was helping, even after drinking the electrolyte mix, it took another 2 hrs to get me stabilized, I was right about to call 911 when I started to feel myself slowly bounce back. I ALWAYS have these in and when I workout, I make sure to hydrate throughout, but incase, I always have a bottle of water and a liquid IV ready incase my body gets to that point, in a place easily accessible. They're simply amazing, even my mother who refuses to try anything will drink them when she's having an IBS flare up. I also got my brother who runs marathons drinking these as well, especially when he's training, he also doesn't try anything, but he was struggling severely after training and I insisted he at least try one and he couldn't believe it actually helped him, so now he buys these as well. The strawberry flavor actually tastes really good! So far all of the flavors taste great, granted, when you're having an episode, the last thing you're thinking about is the flavor, nonetheless, flavor is still great. I don't like to drink these super often because I do have a habit of retaining water and these are full of everything your body needs to be level, so that's extra sodium, so I will drink regular water during my workouts and if I'm feeling off, I'll drink these. I'd like to drink them everyday, but between all of the extra salt that I'm sensitive to and their cost, they are pretty much strickly for emergency.

This product arrived in a ziploc bag with the individual packets in it. When ordering I expected to get a package like displayed. I expected an unopened bag with the individual packets in it. I would never use this seller again. These were to give to someone to try. By not getting the original bag there was no information about the product such as how much sodium, or other additives were in the product for my friend to look at. Yes, it can be found online but why should anyone have to go through that trouble. It arrived 2 days later than promised also. If you are going to sell 14 packs in a ziploc bag then show that in the picture. No one wants to spend this much money on a product that has been opened. Love the PiñaColada flavor!

I have tried several flavors of the Liquid IV Hydration to help me stay hydrated for my kidneys. so far the Piña Colada is my favorite, followed by Watermelon, Golden Cherry. I also tried Passion Fruit and it was good too. I always add the packets to more water than suggested. Otherwise it is too strong for me! I use 1 pkt per 20oz of water at least. Sometimes more. I think I could add more water to the Piña Colada flavor because even in 20oz of water it is kind of strong for me. That's good though because i drink more water! I will keep trying as many flavors as I can. I will post further updates. The only thing I don't like about them is the cost! They are too expensive.
