I recently bought 2 of these playhouses for my grandchildren thinking they would be the same quality they were when I bought this playhouse for my own children 20 years ago. Big disappointment. This is so cheaply made. It won't last more than a couple of summers at best. My daughter just sent me a picture of the playhouse blown on its side on the opposite side of the yard we set it up after only a light wind blew through. Very disappointing. I certainly wouldn't have bought this playhouse had I known how cheaply they were made ahead of time.

The whole concept of the cottage is a really good idea! It has a front & back door, the windows open, letter box etc my kids love playing pretend house with this house it has amazing features. It was easy to put together and it didnt take too long, the only downside is that the plastic doesnt feel as sturdy & durable as the old one but i still feel it will last long! the main thing is the smile on my kids face and they love it !

Really lovely modern playhouse that is a decent size, not to big/small and the perfect size for young children especially toddlers.Setting up Cape Cottage was easy to assemble with clear instructions to follow and it took me roughly 40 minutes. The pieces fitted well together making it feel sturdy. What I especially liked is that there is plenty space inside, the windows and door open and close and the playhouse has a little letterboxThe playhouse is light enough that it can be easily moved indoors/outdoors without hassle as it's not to heavy. Mine is currently outside and has withstand the wind which shows it's well built.
We purchased Little Tikes products faithfully when our children were young. Loved the toys and were always pleased with them. However, we recently purchased this playhouse for our first grandchild. This product is not even close to the quality of what we purchased for our children. I purchased this online. Had I seen it in a store, already put together I would not have made this purchase. The playhouse is very flimsy, not sturdy at all. The plan was to put it outside but I am not sure it will withstand the weather and wind.If this is an indication of the quality of their products as a whole I would be purchasing from a different company. If you are considering this please don’t waste your money on this product. It is cute but it won’t last long that’s for ... MoreWe purchased Little Tikes products faithfully when our children were young. Loved the toys and were always pleased with them. It is cute but it won’t last long that’s for sure.If I had put it together prior to giving to my granddaughter I would have returned the product. She doesn’t care about the quality she likes it because it is pink. Can’t return it now.i would have happily paid more for a better quality product.
This play house is an ideal addition to our garden space. We chose the colours which were quite natural for outdoors. My kids love being outdoors in all weathers and this offers a little protection from the weather. The house was easy to build, and was together in less than 30 minutes. All parts were well marked.
Bought for my grandson and built immediately it arrived. Enlisted my daughters help to assist with sticker application to make sure we had them as straight as possible. The "Little Tikes" stickers on the doors were pre applied in the factory. Annoyingly, neither are straight so there's no better side to have facing outwards. Would have preferred the same 3D logo on the doors that we have on his toddler slide. Apart from that, it's a good house, easy to build and the kids love it. Bought this brand over another well known brand after reading reviews. Hopefully it will last long enough to justify the extra expense.
When this showed up on my doorstep I was shocked to see how compact the package was. However, they say good things come in small packages and this is no exception. Right out of the box, the assembly was so easy that my 6 year old daughter was able to do a lot of it herself with no help other than some direction of where to put some parts. We worked together for close to an hour to get it all done and we took our time since it was so easy. We assembled as much as we could inside with smaller parts and took it outside to complete assembly to make it into a house.I found the materials to be sturdy enough for play outside during good weather, but we've had to bring it in for rain and wind because I worry that it won't hold up. It just doesn't seem like it's made for holding together in that type of weather. The colors are tan and red, which is a good gender neutral color and is made of a material that stickers adhere to easily so it can easily be painted or jazzed up with stickers if you're not fond of the color (I'm not keen, but my daughter is happy with it and that's what matters). This unit has provided hours upon hours of fun for her. She's an only child and when her friends are busy, she sometimes has to rely on her imagination to play and this provides a great opportunity for that. She wasted no time asking us to write her letters at her new address of "7425 Backyard" and put her stuffed animals in the house and wrote letters to them and then shoved them in the mail slot. The house is a good size for her and 1 other friend to play together, but if she were smaller, it would be appropriate size for up to 3 children. She is very tall at 47 inches and has difficulty standing completely upright in it, but it doesn't seem to bother her. She has special needs and this is a wonderful toy to help with those needs. The house is very lightweight, so we have no problem moving it from outside to inside when inclement weather strikes.
It's lightweight so easy to move around. Easy to put together. A bit flimsy so children leaning and swinging on the doors as they do, will bend them out of shape in no time. The most disappointing aspect is that it is so small there is no room to fit anything else in except a very small chair, but what use is that without a table? Our two year old has got tired of it in just a few days as you just can't do anything except walk in and out of the doors and open the windows! I should have checked the size before ordering. I do not recommend. It was a waste of money.
The Cape cottage Little Tikes house is such a cute and fun way for your kids to pretend and play. I really like this cottage because it was so much fun for my children to go in and out with a great design.
