Lock & Lock Rice Case with Cup 12L

These are PERFECT!!! I've bought several for all types of storage usage. At first I bought two for bird food and bird tray lining paper. Then my daughter saw it, loved it, and wanted one for her cat's food. We can think of so very many uses, from pet food, people food, flours, grains, potting soil, etc, etc, etc. The top of container comes off and on with snapping tabs all around, so pouring is very easy. The lid lifts up for easy scooping also has snapping tabs. There is a measuring cup for scooping. Wheels on the back make it easy to transport even when full. There is a handle with which to pull. Sturdy, solid, very functional, and nice looking.

I would really like to give this container a good review but the only nice thing I can say about it is it fits a little over 15lbs of rice. This container however is not air tight in the most important area which is the flap in the front where you scoop out whatever you fill it with. I would not recommend this container for anything edible especially if you want to keep it fresh and free of bugs. As shown in the photos, the flap doesn't seal properly.

Purchased this to replace a much cheaper rice container. Worth every penny for frequent rice-consumers (could also work well for flour and other grains or bulk stock in general)The labels came off cleanly (this is such a marker of quality), the wheels roll well and the seal locks are very secure.Highly recommend.

Great container to hold bulk amount of food

Great size and shape for pantry. My only wish is that it had a more slanted opening with a raised area above the flour so that when scooping I didn't have to be so careful not to have overflow spill over.Other than that and it has made my flour storage more organized and clean looking. I used to have a small, round canister but I needed to purchase bulk flour because I do sourdough starter, so that meant having a huge bag of flour on the floor because my canister could only hold 3qts.

Great storage container for the price!

This is a very useful storage container. I am using it for my dogs food and it holds a lot (about what it states) and I do notice it does keep it fresh. Only thing is that it shocked me with the size. I thought it would be bigger but it isn't however it is compact and did the job I needed just fine. For it to be so compact, have wheels, provide a measuring cup, and an easy access lid.. pretty awesome. You don't get that with many other storage containers. I can store (if I wanted) up to 3 of these on a shelf, given their height, in the kitchen easily and trust that nothing can get in. Their appearance isn't off-putting either and you can see how much you have left. If you are a stickler for exact amount that is, personally I don't mind it and it doesn't make it a deal breaker for me. Cleaning this is easy too, given you can remove the entire lid and the inside is smoothed so you aren't having to struggle with trapped food in areas that make you need to place it in a sink. Refill is a breeze. My final concern though might be if you use the wheels enough they could end up breaking off as they are small or wearing down the plastic. Outside of the few quips I say this is a good purchase for the price and what you get.

Help for sealing your container and latching!

HELP for others in closing a Lock n Lock container: I have used Lock n Lock containers for 8 YEARS! They have held up through washing them in the dishwasher, and occasionally, the blue seal slips out and you just carefully push it back into place. The MOST important thing is that you have to line up the lids to fit the bottom, wiggle it until it seats. Sometimes it seems it does not fit correctly, but if you run your fingers around the edge - you can tell where it is not aligned. I put the lid on and firmly tap around the top and seal, and it will go into place. If your latch does not seem to close, it's because you don't have the lid properly aligned. Latching is how you know that you have sealed the container. Perfect Design

This is such a great container for storing grains! It is compact, lightweight, and airtight. Best of all, it opens from the front as well as the top so that you can keep it on any of your pantry shelves and still easily grab your cups of rice or whatnot without having to shift anything. It even has little wheels so that if you do need to drag it forward for any reason, it slides like a dream. It is just such a well-designed product.

Quality product

Stored about 15 lbs rice in there and still have some room. Not sure a 25 lb bag of rice would fit, but that is not a problem for me. The measuring cup that comes with the storage container is convenient. Another reviewer said the measuring cup is not accurate. I measure with a regular cup. The measuring cup that comes with the container is less than 1/8" smaller, not significant. The wheels and the handle make this container move around easily, which is a plus.

better than the same ones I have bought before

I ordered 3 of these containers from Pots and Pans, and they seems to be of good quality. I have bought the same Lock and Lock containers earlier from other retailers but they all have had problems with the lid hinges closing and staying closed, making them less airtight. This recent purchase seems have better quality hinges. I will update review if I start having problems with these containers.

holds 10lb of Dog Biscuits

I got these for my high maintenance pooch. I buy his treats in bulk to keep him supplied. 10 pounds of large Milk like "Bone" shaped dog biscuits fit perfectly! I will probably put his brushing chews in the other one I ordered. I'm thinking about buying a few more, while they are on Sale!
