This Lodge dutch oven meets all my expectations! I loved it as soon as I took it out of the box! The shape & color of the pot are so pretty and the quality is apparent. Even before I cooked that bomb chili in it. I'm actually very proud of it. The expense is well worth it but I got a fab deal during Way Days. I was unsure of what size to get because I need it small enough for just me but also big enough for leftovers or company. I bought the 4.5 qt size and it's perfect. I couldn't be happier & highly recommend it!

Love this Dutch oven! It’s my first Dutch Oven ever. So far I cooked a veggie soup in it, first browning the veggies and then adding stock—turned out perfect, much better than similar recipes in my usual stainless stockpot. I got it in the lagoon (teal) color, which is so unique and beautiful. The quality is excellent—the surface is relatively smooth and there are no chips in the enamel. I ordered another one but had to return it because of bumpy/uneven surface issues, but I kept the second one I ordered.

Only used this Dutch Oven twice, in the oven once then gas stove top. Holds a large meal and stays hot/warm through the duration of the meal. The enamel was easy to clean but the weight may be challenging for some people. I placed towels on the counter to prevent chipping or scratching the granite counter. The weight also makes sliding the Dutch Oven into the oven a bit tricky. The weight is not a surprise as I own other cast iron pans however the size and weight requires the bottom shelf of the fridge. I moved the leftovers into containers instead. I like this Dutch Oven overall but my wife prefers a multilayer stock pot for its weight but cost a bit more.

I am glad I finally bought it. I wasn't sure if I really need it and if it will be a pain to clean and take care of it. It appears it is very good for me when it comes to cooking in the oven and is not hard to maintain (read the manual that comes with the pot). I specifically mentioned "cooking in the oven" before because when it comes to cooking on the stove I don't really see the difference (in my case sometimes it is even worse) then in a regular pan/pot, so except the fact it takes longer and consumes more power, I do not see the benefit in this case. We also bake bread in it, I didn't even realize how nice it is not to bother with a water pan anymore - you just put bread in it, close/open the lid as needed and that's it. I cannot stand this pot. And don’t get my wrong. I wanted it for a long long time. I’ve done research to see what and how to cook in it. I’m also a relatively good cook as it stands. But for some reason, I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to use this pot. If it’s anything like a soup or full of water, it never seems to cook all the way through, chicken n dumplings take about 3x as long as they do any other time. But on the other hand, if I try to use it for something that it not liquid, like to brown chicken, it sticks and I burn it every single time. Idk what I am doing wrong. All of my other lodge cookware is amazing. I’m sure it’s user error. But this one is not for me.

2 attempts to use this and there will not be a third. This not my first time cooking. Lesson learned. Enameled does not equate to Non-Stick. Everything you will try to make from stew, to soups to potatoes will stick and burn to the bottom. Even on low to moderate heat. If you like weight lifting and scrubbing pots this would be the one for you.
I know she doesn’t really “go” with my kitchen, but she’s darn pretty. I’ve used once and it was a dream to cook in and easy to clean up. I got the 7.5, but truthfully should have gone with the smaller 6 size, even for my family of 5. This sucker is big!!!! I’ll be able to cook a full roast or full rotisserie chicken in this. It’s heavy but it’s cast iron, so that’s to be expected. Looking forward to cooking many, many dinners in this, without costing hundreds of dollars for the other 2 brands.

I love this thing. I feel like I got more than what I paid for. This thing is just as good if not better than La Crueset for 1/4 of the price. How do I know?, I am a trained chef. It is slightly heavier than La Crueset, but not that much. I think it's better as far heat retention and control goes because of the weight. If you want to pay 4 times as much, go ahead, but I'm not a lemming.
