A Great reasonably priced pencil!

A very good pencil at a reasonable price. It will not do what the Apple Pencil does for detailed drawings with shading and such but it works very well for less complex artwork. It is great for marking up, signing documents and sketches of layouts. The pencil is of very good quality and worked right out of the box, has a long battery life and it charges with a lightning cable (you can also purchase a USB-C version). I'm very pleased with the purchase and recommend it.

A must-have for notetaking

This is my first experience with an ipad stylus and this logitech version works GREAT. I use this 100% for note-taking. I never have issues of it accidentally drawing when I use my fingers or when my hand slides on the page while writing. I can't imagine not having this.My only complaint is that I never remember to turn it off when I'm not using it (I think it's because there really isn't an indicator light to tell me that it's on) so I'm always running the battery low. I don't like the power button on the side, you have to press and hold to turn it on and off (and the act of pressing it blocks the indicator light). I wish it was a switch so I could easily tell if it was on or off.

I unfortunately did not know that if you don't use Apple Pencil for weeks or months that the battery just completely dies and cannot be fixed. I had the dreaded 3% battery issue and pairing issue on the Apple Pencil. I did some research and it turns out that so many people have experienced the same problem with the Apple Pencil. Instead of spending another 100 dollars, I did some research and was looking for alternatives to the Apple Pencil. I am so glad I found the Logitech Crayon. It works just as good as the Apple Pencil and is cheaper. It features what the Apple Pencil should have - a power button. Logitech Combo Touch is a superb keyboard case for the iPad. It’s super simple to pair with the iPad and comes with a wide range of features which make it a fantastic purchase. The trackpad offers precise control and handy gestures built in such as app switching, photo controls and much more. The backlit keys are extremely handy when you’re working at night and don’t want to disturb others. There are five adjustable levels to suit everyones requirements. The keyboard itself is very easy to type into as the keys are not crammed together and offer a smooth and fluid typing experience. The mechanical hinge keeps it in place and does not let it collapse. The case offers front and back protection, protecting from scuffs and scratches while being lightweight. As soon as you hold it, you can feel the premium quality of the case and materials. This is no doubt one of the best keyboard case I have come across for iPad. It feels so natural to use and provides everything you would require. I highly recommend it

Great Buy, Great Deal, HIGHLY RECOMMEND
12 March 2023

I highly recommend this for any and all iPad users. It does everything the Apple Pencil does except double tap to switch between the eraser and current selection, pressure sensitivity, and hover (which only works on m2 and up iPads). The design is solid and will not roll off your desk. Charging is quick and easy via a lighting cable. When fully charged, you get 7.5 hours of writing time. No pairing is required; it works instantly on multiple iPads at once. I have the iPad Pro 5th gen 12.9 and the original Logitech Crayon, and I can't be happier. You can't go wrong whether you get the 1st or 2nd gen of the crayon, as the differences between the two are minor. This item does not work. It’s not compatible with the iPad even though it says on the page that is compatible, they would not take my return and I think this is very wrong because this is the description says that is supposed to be compatible I wouldn’t have gone through this problem, if they would’ve gave us a better description or if they would’ve told us that it’s not compatible I would’ve never bought it but it said it was compatible and now you guys won’t take the return and I think that’s totally wrong. I will never be shopping with this company again . with Best Buy.

Love it
25 January 2023

I use this pen for college classes/ note taking, and at work. I LOVE it. The battery lasts pretty long even on a 10 minute charge. You do have to get use to the shape, but it only took me a day or two. It is kind of hard to remember to turn it off before you put it away, but other than that I have no complaints. I bought a hard case so I could toss it into my bag, plus a skin to put over it so that way it stayed in my hands a bit better because the metal wasn’t really working with me. All in all it’s a good product, especially if your on the college kid budget and don’t have an extra $100 laying around for an Apple Pencil.

Nice pencil, a couple annoying flaws
24 January 2023

I carry the crayon in my pocket everyday, and use it often with Notability. I like it better than the Apple Pencil, but want to point out a couple annoying flaws I wish you would fix:a. There seems to be no way to know if it is on or off except to try to use it with the ipad. If you just made the LED flash once for turning on and twice for turning off, it would be easy to figure out its state without getting my ipad out.b. There seems to be no way to tell its battery state other than to try to turn it on and see if it blinks green or red. Some kind of indication of charge would be useful.c. The rubber piece that covers the charging port and button to turn it on can easily pop off. I ended up supergluing mine down, which seems to work, but it's annoying that it ... MoreI carry the crayon in my pocket everyday, and use it often with Notability. It's a great tool, and I have used it to take notes, review documents, and give Zoom presentations.

Perfect stylus for 5th Gen iPad Pro- 12.9"

I won't bore tou with details but would like to tell peope about it so they don't have the same thing happen- but Best Buy Customer Service to the rescue. I had done some research and knew I wanted a stylus (I am using a $1 version now while reviewing on my phone) but was told that the iPad was dofferent and wouldn't work with any stylus like other products. After the disaster of the over priced, used item my mother purchased I knew I didn't want another stylus that had to be xharged separately from the tablet. Basically I wanted the option to charge the device using a USB port drawing off of the tablets battery or to charge separately if I needed / wanted and I fifured if ai had to pay more than $10 it should have a unique feature like a really small tip to use when adding small details to correct a photo or something; for whatever reason there is not anything Ive found aside from the expensive models with a tip muxh smaller than a #2 pencil eraser. This Logitech stylus met all the requirements I wanted and it cost less than the Apple version. It can also magnetically (?) attach to the hard case so it doesn't get lost or dropped. Two more things that seemed to be important to pope whove used these items before. I'm not speaking from experience w/part 1 but apparently these styluses / styli (?)needed ro be paired via ue toith to your device takingup time and making it difficult to share with someone nearby who may need to borrow it for a minute.Lastly, I am extremely happy with my devices and had no thoughts of returning them but when I initially set up my iPad I wasnt thinking and used my dollar store stylus to type over the plastic screen overlay and it worked flawlessly. I couldnt imagine it causing any damage if I did it again but read upon it to make sure there werent any weird magnets or code that would render my new ttablet inneffective and the only replies I received were that I must have been mistaken nd used the correct one (even though I hadn't bought it yet). So, I am clearly not an expert and am not advising anything to anyone about using a non-standard product. Hkwever if it were an "energency" and it was all you had, it might be okay to try it out if yiu have a screen protector on your device. I upgraded to the Best Buy glass screen protector and had them install it (best decision) and regardless, I love the recommended stylus and havent had any issues. I just make sure to xlean the screen often and when I do, I clean the stylus to extend the life of it as well.

Quite nice and worth it!
30 August 2022

Writing this review with the Logitech crayon actually. it does feel nice compared to the Apple Pencil (first generation). The feel of it in hand, and the grip is quite nice, which allows you to write more naturally. The Apple Pencil is nice and my first writing stylus for my iPad, but this Logitech Crayon does feel like a better product in some ways. Charging the Crayon’s battery is safer too if you don’t get that Apple external charger for the Pencil. This is a worthwhile alternative if you want a stylus that is cheaper to the Apple Pencil. I am not dismissing the Apple product, but saying if cost is an issue, and you want an enjoyable writing experience, then the Logitech Crayon is worth the investment.
