Known for enduring value and quality, Logitech has always been my recommended brand to friends and family alike. With the meteoric rise of the popularity of eSports streaming and broadcasting, it was only a matter of time before peripheral manufacturers like Logitech stepped up their offerings with products catering to serious gamers and prosumers alike. The new Logitech PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset is a premium device with higher-spec components than Logitech usually offers in the space - most notably, larger drivers made with graphene that promise to deliver top-tier sound reproduction for crystal clear audio even during the most heated moments of any competitive match. Logitech’s combination of quality design & construction, matched to driver software that’s refreshingly intuitive and meaningful, delivers an exceptional gaming headset that will last for years to come.An important note - though compatible with game consoles, I tested this headset exclusively on Windows 10 and 11 PCs. Your experience may vary on other devices.- Unboxing and SetupWith little more than mandatory disclosures and a warranty information pamphlet inside the box, Logitech leaves all setup instructions on the flaps inside the packaging. While clever, it only covers the basic setup instructions for PC or console and doesn’t overview all the headset’s functions. Thankfully the headset has only a few labeled buttons that are easy to interpret. The headset will immediately connect to the included USB receiver, but can also be paired via Bluetooth Low Latency for a fully wireless, dongle-free setup with your PC, phone, or supported game console.Logitech includes a smattering of accessories with the headset, including the aforementioned USB receiver for instant setup, a branded neoprene carrying case, USB-C <> USB-C cable for charging and connectivity, a 3.5mm headset cable for fully lossless audio, and an alternative set of ear pads with cloth for those who prefer this material to the preinstalled leather pads - myself included. Switching between the two is easy as the pads clamp elastically to the headset. One nice touch is that Logitech’s product safety guide includes instructions on how to remove the lithium-ion battery, which can be accessed and disconnected without the use of any special tools. While intended for recycling purposes, this also indicates that the battery is user-replaceable, extending the life of the headset by many years.- Build Quality, Comfort, Ease of UseHere’s where the surprisingly high cost of the headset stacks up. Logitech pulled no punches in making a premium, almost luxurious piece of gear for everyday gamers, eSports professionals, and prosumers alike. At 340g (approximately 12 ounces), the brushed-metal-framed headset isn’t the lightest out there, but the weight feels very well-distributed and sits on the head with little sensation of extra heft. The leather-padded headstrap is soft and comfortable, and the adjustment range for ear height is absolutely massive. With a large, 24” circumference head (measured at the brow), I found the fourth-tallest setting (6 steps out of 10) to be ideal. This headset will almost assuredly adjust to fit your head without issue.Designed as an over-ear headset, the ear pad cups are similarly spacious and envelop my larger ears with plenty of room to spare. The clamping force is about par for course, maybe only a smidge higher than I’d like on the lower back side near the lobes, but after a few weeks of regular use I’m sure the foam in the ear pads will compress some. Not that this is a major issue - the headset is still extremely comfortable to wear, and I can go hours at a time without discomfort. The hinge joints that allow the ear cups to rotate flat for storage feel solid, if not as smooth as I was expecting for such a premium-aligned headset, but don’t raise any concern. There are only 4 physical controls on the headset - the power slider, an infinite-scroll volume dial, a mic toggle, and a Bluetooth sync button. These are all on the left ear of the headset and easily differentiated by your thumb as they have different textures, and the spacing is very good. The Bluetooth button is furthest forward and quite distant from the headset mute button - I only hit this by accident and inadvertently activated pairing mode mid-game once early on. After less than a minute familiarizing yourself with the button locations you’ll be good to go.- Sound & Mic QualityBoasting 50mm, graphene-based dynamic drivers - larger than the standard fare 40mm ones you find in most other Logitech headsets - I was expecting a deep bass response but found the headset’s “flat” setting (the default without using Logitech G Hub to adjust the equalizer - more on this later) to be surprisingly weak in this area. While bass is punchy, there didn’t seem to be too much of it to go around at first. That said, mids and highs come through exceedingly crisp and clear, which is perfect for voice chat and listening for in-game sounds that could tip you off to your enemies’ movements. The sound stage (perceived distance between leftmost- and rightmost-panned sounds) is a bit narrow, but this is typical of most closed-back headphones like the X 2 LIGHTSPEED. The tradeoff is that sound leakage is fairly low even with the cloth pads - it’s not completely inaudible, but it’s well-muffled otherwise.Microphone quality is good, if a bit lacking in depth. When run wirelessly, voice chat takes on a bit of a telephone (albeit a very good telephone) quality, with my voice lacking warmth and richness I found using other headsets. However, the sound is still exceptionally clear and there won’t be any instance where the microphone quality impedes your teammates’ or other call participants’ ability to understand what you said. A dedicated cardioid or similar streaming microphone will deliver better results, but unless you need top-tier voice quality for production purposes the X 2 LIGHTSPEED’s microphone will be plenty suitable.A dedicated hardware mute button is a fantastic touch - and it’s a physical toggle button that is depressed when the mic is hot. Audio cues in-headset confirm the mute is on or off (as well as the power LED flashing either green or red, respectively).- Range & Battery LifeThe range of these headphones is excellent. Across multiple floors and trying to introduce worst-case scenarios inside my home, I couldn’t find any situation where the headset lost connection to my computer or phone at the extreme opposite end of the house. After about 50 feet through 3 floors I noticed a little bit of stutter, but in any real-world use case I saw no issues.Battery life is absolutely fantastic. After 4 hours of continuous gaming with friends, the headset lost just 10% of its charge (as reported by the Logitech G Hub app). I expect that Logitech’s 50 hour runtime is fairly accurate - I just didn’t have enough time to verify the full range before posting this review! The X 2 also recharges quickly, going from about 50% charge to full in just a hair over 30 minutes.- Logitech G HubIf the flat bass response and “it’s fine” microphone quality were the end of the story, I wouldn’t have rated this headset so highly. Indeed, we’re in an era where the software is just as important as the hardware, and despite some initial disdain at the size and need to have companion software to get the best results, Logitech’s G Hub software truly fills in all the headset’s shortcomings.Starting with sound quality, a 5-band equalizer allows you to make basic adjustments to the frequency response. The post-processing here is excellent, with small changes to each frequency slider working exactly as I would expect. I found that slightly raising the bass while lowering higher frequencies gave the best overall experience - any reduction in sound volume resulting from reducing mids and highs was counteracted by simply cranking the headset’s volume dial higher. As for the mic, Logitech’s purchase of the Blue Microphones company has led to the inclusion of Blue-branded post-processing in the G Hub app. With about two dozen sound profiles to pick from, and plenty of customization available to adjust filtering, pitch, reverb, and more, the app meaningfully changes the way your voice carries through to the other end of the line. The “Broadcaster” presets are my preferred options - they remove all of the weakness in your voice coming through the mic and sound a lot more like sitting directly in front of a quality Blue cardioid microphone. Though maybe a bit overboosted, the settings are easy to tweak, and in any case the post-processing restores much of the lost warmth and bravado without needing to change anything in your existing apps. A stellar showing all through.I understand not everyone is comfortable running background software to get the full experience, and indeed this is a PC-specific feature that goes missing on consoles. But the change in sound quality is so significant, and the CPU impact so opposingly insignificant, that for once I do suggest running the Logitech G Hub companion software in the background - something I haven’t said of any PC peripheral in years. It makes that much of a difference.- Bottom LineMy last Logitech headset served me well for nearly a decade, and I’m expecting the PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED to be my main for just as long. It'swonderful to wear, delivers exceptional sound, has an incredible battery life, and the optional G Hub software is excellent. Any further criticisms I could level would be nitpicky, and certainly don’t detract from the premium experience Logitech created here. Though a bit pricey at a $249 MSRP, the complete package is worth the price of admission for a high-end headset to last. Highly recommended!

Logitech seems like they really strived to make the best sounding headphones while also being appealing to pro gamers who are willing to use this product while having great quality and comfort that you need with hours of use on the daily.Sound is probably the first thing to dive into the details on. I don’t have the ear to tell the difference between a graphene driver and a neodymium driver, but what I will say is that these sound clean. I don’t hear any distortion or static at louder volumes. I can tell the difference whether it’s connect to my KVM switch or directly to the computer I’m using it on. I recommend plugging the wireless adapter directly into the PC as I got some static when using a hub. Also sounds really good when connected via headphone jack.As for sound profile, I prefer music without surround sound activated. I feel like there is unintentional volume leveling happening and I don’t get a consistent sound. Once I turned it off, I played with the EQ until I got the sound mix I like for music. I do wish there was a few extra sliders in the EQ for a finer level of control but this seems to be the standard for gaming headphones. Speaking of gaming, you want to flip that surround sound back on, because buddy, you can hear those footsteps running up behind you. Talk about anxiety. I tested this in Call of Duty MWII. I just played a few small maps where I knew I would have people frequently running around the map. You can hear the footsteps coming but I’m not trained well enough to pinpoint exactly where the enemy was popping up at. It was a lot of fun to experience the game in a different way than I had before. The next shining feature is the sound quality of the microphone and your ability to customize how you sound. Blue microphone is a technology owned by Logitech which specializes in making great sounding broadcasting microphones to try and pick up the most natural sound and detailed sound from your surroundings. These very sensitive instruments also allow for a detailed level of customization and playback features where you can make changes to how you sound in real time. It can be very important in competitive gaming to have a clear and heard voice because missing a call-out could be the difference between winning and losing. When it comes to streaming, you want your viewers to have a great listening experience as well. I’m not sure it replaces a dedicated microphone but if you’re looking to get great sound input and sound output all in the same product, I’d say these checks both boxes.Design and build quality are what I would consider in the premium category. The ear cuffs are comfortable use a leather cushion. The leather ones are swappable with a plush like material, not sure what to call it, but if you prefer that type of material, you can swap them out. I love this because if they get damaged or worn, you can just replace them. They’re USB type C rechargeable like all things should be, there’s a volume wheel and dedicated buttons for mute and modes. There is a slight swivel forward and full 90 degree swing back to allow contouring to your head as well as laying around your neck on the collar bone. It’s a mixed bag, but I like headphones that swivel with the ear cups facing down, which these do. The ear cuffs mount to a metal bracket that connects to the metal head band. The same leather cushion covers the headband and I’ve not had any fatigue at all on the top of my head with it. No issues with design or comfort. There is a few preferences I would have liked to have seen with the controls. The dedicated mute button makes a tone to indicate mute or unmuted, but I think it’s too subtle of a difference between on and off. I would have liked to have something less subtle, so I know for sure when I hit the button, which way It’s going. For now I just remember, button in, it’s on, button out, it’s off. Also, there’s no simultaneous Bluetooth/lightspeed mode. It’s one or the other. I’d say most people are probably buying this for gaming and will use the dongle on their gaming computer, but I also use my peripherals for work, so it would have been nice to have dual use. Switching, however, isn’t hard and it connects very quickly to your Bluetooth device and back to the lightspeed adapter. Again, a more aggressive indicator to which your using would be nice. A voiceover being the preference.Overall, I really like these headphones. I’ve adjusted to using these all day for work (music and podcasts when not using for meetings). Then I transition to gaming for a few hours before I take them off. Battery life is superb at 50 hours and I can use 3 or 4 days before it needs a charge. I really need Logitech to make a hard case for them so I can pack them with me without fear of banging around in my laptop bag.

Comfortable, Clean Sound, Can Hear the Footsteps

I’ve been testing this headset for the past several days and I have to say it’s replaced my daily driver for gaming and It’ll probably be my main headset for work from home as well.

Excellent Headset for Gaming!
4 June 2023

I can't say it enough that love this headset! It is so comfortable, the sound quality is excellent - for both the speakers and the microphone, and the battery life is amazing! I charged the headset the day I received it, have been wearing it for at least 30 hours, and the battery is only down to 68%. It can connect to a computer via Bluetooth, the included Lightspeed dongle, or the included cable. I initially had a glitch when connected via Bluetooth, but either the Logitech software or Windows updated, and the error was fixed. In the process, I learned that Logitech support was also great when I spoke to them. The person on the phone actually listened to me and did not read from a script, so I was happy. In the process, I learned that Logitech support was also great when I spoke to them. The person on the phone actually listened to me and did not read from a script, so I was happy. At this point, the headset is working perfectly. If you have any issues, make sure the software and headset firmware are up to date since they recently pushed out an update. I highly recommend connecting via Lightspeed so everything can run through the Logitech G Hub software. It is extremely simple to use because Lightspeed is plug-and-play. It is as convenient as plugging a cable into an audio jack because the headset instantly connects to the dongle with no additional pairing. G Hub has some really impressive features like allowing people to fine-tune the speaker EQ settings along with every channel of 7.1 surround sound. Whether listening to music, game audio, or phone calls, I am happy with the high-quality audio. It sounds great whether loud or quiet. The bass is deep without distortion, but high-pitched pin drops are just as clear. When it comes to the microphone, they have Blue Voice which blew me away. It has a ton of effects, both for fun and for professional use. Besides the entertaining effects like alien voices and things like that, it has a few professional broadcast profiles which clean up the sound to make the microphone audio crisp, clean, and a little deeper than my natural sound, without it being obnoxious or obvious that it is running through a processor. Within each setting, they even have faders for fine-tuning the sounds. The microphone is also great at picking up voice while filtering out background noise such as pops, hisses, and my clothes dryer. While my webcam picks up the dryer loud and clear from the other room, the headset mic completely filters it out. I specifically tried the headset out on one of my games that is completely controlled by voice. It requires a good microphone to properly hear the commands and the headset worked perfectly with it.This headset is comfortable to wear for hours on end. With the microphone being detachable, I can plug it in when needed or have it unplugged when I know I will not be using it. There are two different types of earpads included - memory foam leatherette and breathable velour. They are labeled with large, bright, contrasting letters inside the pads showing L or R, instead of the typical letters barely visible in the plastic of the headset. It makes it so easy to know which way to wear the headset when the mic is not attached. Another great feature of this headset is the tactile controls, including a rotating wheel for volume, a latching switch for the microphone mute, a sliding switch for power, and a momentary switch to switch between Bluetooth and Lightspeed. This makes it absolutely simple to activate the various features with little effort. I can feel whether or not the mic is muted or the power is on without having to look. The rotating wheel for volume allows for fine control instead of the typical 5-10 stops before the minimum or maximum levels. There are no playback controls on the headset, but this is not intended to be used for mobile uses. I would not want to be traveling or working out with this high-quality gaming headset, but I could not ask for better features when sitting at my desk.

Incredible audio, mic needs tweaking!
31 May 2023

If you need a quick summary for this review what I have said above is true. The audio is bar none compared to the previous 5 other Logitech headsets I have owned and reviewed. The only thing that I am having difficulty with at this time and that might just require further tweaking in the Ghub software is the mic audio quality. Even with Blue Voice on, I am getting really scratchy output that is grating on my friends’ ears while we are gaming. I should mention that this is while using the 2.4Ghz USB 2.4 wireless connection. I have not yet tested the quality of the mic while going over Bluetooth or 3.5mm audio jack connection, but for me, considering my daily driver is a Logitech 535 headset that is a third the cost, I would expect the mic quality to at least match ... MoreIf you need a quick summary for this review what I have said above is true. I have not yet tested the quality of the mic while going over Bluetooth or 3.5mm audio jack connection, but for me, considering my daily driver is a Logitech 535 headset that is a third the cost, I would expect the mic quality to at least match that while running similar settings in the Ghub app while over 2.4Ghz connection. Most pro level gamers or enthusiasts will be running standalone microphones anyways, but I feel that on a $250 headset, I would expect better in the way of mic quality. The build quality of the headset itself is a glorious thing to behold. Every contour and detail of the metal frame supports, earcups, and headband speaks to quality. It comes with a nice lineup of accessories and cords too, including another pair of earcups which is spectacular. All of this is packaged nicely in an environmentally friendly package with minimal plastics in the packaging except for the most critical regions, like the plastic covers of the Logitech logs on the outside of the earcups. The battery life on the headset is exactly as advertised, I charged it when it came about a week ago and I have been using it nearly every day for at least 4 or 5 hours and I have yet to run out of battery! I am very impressed by that. I am usually around 80% volume with a mixed-use of gaming with comms through Discord, Spotify listening, and YouTube videos. Something I wanted to note is that I had to completely reinstall the GHub software to be able to have the software detect this headset and get a reading on the battery life. The game I always test my audio with is the game Hunt Showdown. This game is a tough, pro-level shooter that requires excellent audio in order to make use of the binaural audio the developers have implemented in the game. This headset more than exceeds in this task and actually has such detailed audio on the lows especially that I have heard bass booms from explosions and notes from the theme songs that I have never heard before! Music is also another stand-out for this headset. I have not enjoyed my music on any headset I have reviewed more than this headset, and that is with EQ settings flat right out of the box!Altogether, this headset gets a solid 4/5 recommendation from me with the mic in mind, but I will rate it as 5 stars overall since it is such a minor complaint compared to what people will really care about in terms of the audio quality from the headphones. I think that in this price range, there are headsets that might have more intuitive microphone setups and I would like to see that present here. Otherwise, it is an amazing headset bound to please any user!

The G Hub software is simple and gives you full information on your products including battery level, onboard memory settings, current profile, and firmware. It is slick and reliable.USELike all my other G branded Logitech products, these headphones continue to impress with their premium look and robust design. Logitech has wisely chosen to stray from the rest of their competition and omit all traces of RGB lighting?!?! Just when you thought a premium product couldn’t be found that didn’t have some form of EDM lightshow, Logitech comes through. Nice touch Logitech. Much appreciated. The new Pro X2’s have just about any and every connection you could think of, or need, covered for use. They can be hooked up via an old school 3.5mm headphone jack, USB-C, Bluetooth, and via their Lightspeed dongle. As a bonus, if you don’t have a 3.5mm connection & desire its use, there is one built-in to the Lightspeed dongle. Super thoughtful! The Pro X2’s feature the requisite 50mm drivers that are now standard and expected in premium headphones. The sound quality is good without being bass heavy like many of Logitech’s competitors. Logitech has done a good job of tuning the headphones for accuracy vs bass heavy sound reproduction. It works well for gaming, keeping the audio clearer without muffling footsteps and ambient noises during FPS games, but leaves a little on the table for music. The mic plugs in via a single 3.5mm connection but does not flip up and down. Some like that feature where flipping the mic up shuts it off and pulling it back down turns in on. Whatever your tastes are there is no argument that the sound quality of the mic is very good. Voices come through clear, clean, and intelligible and Logitech’s Blue Sound algorithms do a great job at evening out and cleaning up spoken words even during the most intense battles.NEGATIVESAs far as negatives, I’ll get right to it and the reason I can’t recommend the headphones – It’s the weird audio quality using the Logitech Lightspeed dongle. The G Hub software says it is using DTS audio processing with the Lightspeed dongle, but if it is, something is amiss. Audio is muffled, muted, and is often hard to understand spoken words from games or other players. This problem can be alleviated by plugging in the included 3.5mm audio cable, but at that point what is purpose of buying a wireless set of headphones? No matter what setting I tried in the G Hub software, I could not get decent audio quality from the Lightspeed connection. Even turning all audio processing off failed to correct the issue. This odd sound quality is only exhibited while using the Logitech Lightspeed connection. The sound quality is restored to normal when using any of the other available connections: Bluetooth, 3.5mm audio or USB. The Lightspeed dongle is supposed to provide a high-speed, wireless connection between the headphones and the PC eliminating the dreaded Bluetooth audio lag. Unfortunately, the sound quality is so poor, I resorted to using my PC’s Bluetooth connection and letting my DTS Sound Unbound app (which includes DTS Headphone X) to control the audio processing.Thinking it surely was a user error or computer issue, I installed the G Hub software on my son’s computer and let him try the Pro X2’s. After about an hour into a gaming session and multiple different attempts at using the G Hub software, he came out and gave them back to me. He was not impressed. Said the sound quality was terrible and went back to using his much less expensive headphones from a Logitech competitor.Lastly, and this is only a matter of preference, not a necessarily a ding on Logitech, is the fact that the mic doesn’t swing up and down. Like my son, I also like the convenience of being able to swing the mic arm up and down to quickly disconnect the mic. Not a deal breaker by any means, but a matter of preference.CONCLUSIONSThe Pro X2’s have a lot going for them. They have a premium look and feel. Come with 2 different ear cup materials and are light enough that they would surely satisfy any gamer. In addition, they offer an impressive 50 hours of battery life. These headphones have the ability to reproduce good audio quality, but the Lightspeed dongle and connection that Logitech wants you to love and use isn’t ready yet. Plugging in the dongle deactivates any form of PC audio processing, relying solely on the Logitech software and it doesn’t work correctly. Quite honestly, audio quality using the Lightspeed dongle and Logitech software is quite poor whether it be for games, movies, or music.Fortunately, the Pro X2’s have many different connection options and you can defeat the Lightspeed dongle and enjoy that premium Logitech sound, but that also defeats the purpose of these headphones. I have no doubt Logitech can fix the issues with a firmware update, but until they can, I would look elsewhere.NOT RECOMMENDED

Quality construction and sound

The logitech, G Pro X2 light speed headset is a more than capable headset for serious gamers. It doesn’t have a bunch of snazzy RGB lighting or other visual bells and whistles, but it is a very strong performer where it matters most: sound.Build Quality: The attractively styled all black body is constructed of steel and aluminum. It has a detachable flexible mic that can be easily adjusted to preferred positions. The preinstalled ear cups are leatherette over memory foam. An extra set of cloth pads over memory foam is included. The headband is also leatherette over memory foam. The headset feels well constructed overall and durable.Comfort: despite the all metal construction, the headset is surprisingly lightweight. I do not experience any fatigue or discomfort ... MoreThe logitech, G Pro X2 light speed headset is a more than capable headset for serious gamers. I do not experience any fatigue or discomfort during long gaming sessions, and it fits comfortably on my head without any pressure on my ears or top of my head. The ear cups are comfortable, soft, never feel hot, and they don’t make my ears sweat. The flex mic moves smoothly, stays in place without drooping, and is easy to adjust in small increments to a desired position.Performance: I first tested the headset to make sure sound levels were within an acceptable threshold. I was able to detect bass notes down to 20 Hz and highs up to 20 kHz. The 50mm drivers sound fantastic during gaming. Both primary and ambient background sounds are sharp, clear and well produced. Whether loud explosions or more subtle sounds like wildlife chittering or car gears shifting, I can clearly hear every aspect of my gaming in high quality surround sound. The headset volume is sufficiently loud for both gaming and music while maintaining good clarity at higher volumes. There is no distortion or sound drop outs during use.Music also sounds very good through the headphones. It has sufficient bass, crisp treble, and decent mid notes. I don’t use this as my primary music listening headset, but only because I prefer my high quality music headphones. However, the X2 is more than capable for music listening if required to pull double duty. I also used the headset for a couple of Teams meetings for work just to see how it would perform. It performed flawlessly. The mic has hardware noise cancelling and Blue Voice enhancement to improve sound quality. I asked other meeting participants for feedback on mic quality and was advised that my voice sounds clear and free of background noise. Gaming buddies advised the same. The mic does a good job of suppressing background noise farther away from the headset. I don’t normally have a lot of noise in the background and work in a relatively quiet environment, but whenever there is mild to moderate noise, such as controller buttons or mechanical keyboard clicks, it doesn’t interfere with mic sound quality. There is an easily accessible volume dial and a mic mute button on the left cup. Also on the cup are the Bluetooth button and power switch.Connectivity: The Pro X2 can connect via either the included lightspeed USB dongle or Bluetooth. I tried both and both provided stable connections with no dropouts nor loss of connectivity. Quality was about the same on both as I could not detect any noticeable differences in sound quality. I prefer using the lightspeed receiver simply from past not so good experience with other Bluetooth gaming headsets, but feel both formats would serve my needs fine.Extras: The X2 is compatible with Logitech’s G Hub software. G Hub allows managing headset and mic sound quality along with other settings. G Hub provides several EQ presets for different use scenarios for both the headphones and the mic. Presets include optimized settings for gaming, music, online meetings and more. The mic also has Blue Voice specific presets and gain controls for enhancing mic quality. In addition, there is a manual EQ and settings for enabling and managing surround sound. G Hub also allows updating firmware on both the headset and receiver, and setting the auto power off feature. Auto power off can be disabled or set to activate after 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes of inactivity. The headset charges via an included USB-C to A charging cable. Battery life is good and I get several days use of moderate gaming (2-3 hours per day) from a single charge. A zippered neoprene soft carrying case, and a 3.5mm audio cable that connects to a 3.5mm port on the USB receiver are also included.Overall, I was impressed by the sound quality of the X2. It sounds good on my end and I sound clear and distortion free to others I’m speaking with online. The G Hub app is helpful but not mandatory. I use it and suggest its use because it provides additional tools to tweak sound to specific tastes as well as properly managing the headset with firmware updates. The app also works with other Logitech G devices to help consolidate management of multiple peripherals. My only complaint is that for whatever reason, G Hub cannot detect the headset when I’m connected via Bluetooth. I don’t believe this is by design and have tried all the troubleshooting tips on Logitech’s support site but couldn’t get it to detect over Bluetooth. I didn’t waste too much time trying to figure it out because it’s not a big deal for me personally. As I shared above, I plan to use the USB receiver anyhow. If I ever do decide to switch to Bluetooth, I will revisit troubleshooting. Worst case, I can always use the receiver whenever I need to change any settings. This was the only con I could find with this otherwise robust and great sounding headset.

Designed by gaming pros, the Logitech PRO X2 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Headset is a very thought-out, well-designed product whose goal is to help the rest of us increase our skills and level of competition. Made of quality materials that were apparently chosen to give strength and longevity to the product’s life, the choice of these materials seems two-fold as they also contribute to making the headset only weigh 12.17 oz. Included in the box is the headset, a completely detachable unidirectional microphone with Blue Voice technology, a soft zip bag for storage, memory foam ear pads and an extra set, a USB-A-Lightspeed wireless adapter, and a USB-A to USB-C cable for charging and updating firmware. The headset’s battery charged very quickly and is designed to last up to 50 hours. All of the controls have ergonomic placement, and with the Logitech G HUB software various detailed customizations can take place. You can even set how many minutes up to thirty that the headset remains active before powering itself down when not in use. Numerous sound settings can also be controlled in the G HUB software. On the actual headset, there is even a control button to switch easily between Bluetooth and Lightspeed. The range of customization available with this headset is wide and allows for detailed fine tuning. The headset paired effortlessly with my PC and is compatible with Windows 10 or later. The headset is also Console compatible with PlayStation 4 and 5 as well as Nintendo Switch. I used it with Nintendo Switch and found it to have an impressive wireless range of over ninety-eight feet. The Graphene 1.97-inch driver is a first in the gaming headset industry and it is what gives the clarity of this product’s amazing sound.I recommend this product and am extremely impressed with the sound and the way I can control and fine tune it to my preferences. The wireless distance and length of the battery is equally amazing. This is definitely a professional headset and one that should be considered if you are serious about a quality headset for gaming.

Wonderfully made and enjoyable to wear

My son and I have recently found that we both LOVE to play virtual games so to speak, he does it on his PS5 and I would rather use my laptop. I had purchased another brand of headphones from Best Buy just prior to Christmas and have been using them exclusively when I play. And they were okay at best. But when I received the Logitech PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset I was pleasantly surprised. These headphones are in my opinion “top tier” when it comes to gaming headsets. They arrive in a package that you can tell Logitech spent some time designing, as I am a “stickler” when it comes to packaging.Once I opened up the box and saw/felt these headphones I was instantly impressed. The first thing I noticed was they are very well made, and very light. W/ the other headphones I had I would get head and ear fatigue. Not w/ these, they are remarkably made. I love the fact that Logitech provides EVERYTHING that you need in the box. I charged the headphones and w/ in minutes I had them paired w/ my laptop and began to play. The sound is crystal clear and what I really liked about these headphones is that I could hear through them and not have to adjust the volume to the point I couldn’t hear what was going on around me. The mic can be adjusted to fit along side of your checkbone and not have to be directly in front of your mouth, which I really like as well. I began playing a racing game that can take a long time to complete and as I said earlier I didn’t have to take these Logitech PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset off to rub my ears or have one sitting above one ear while the other ear suffered and vice-versa. These are HIGH quality headphones that I am certain I have found the right pair and will not be in the market for new headphones. (Thanks Logitech)So if you are in the market for a quality pair of headphones, I highly recommend the Logitech PRO X 2 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Headset.
