Logitech G233 Prodigy Wired Gaming Headset

Purchased this today after online shopping and watching YouTube reviews (which were only 2 videos available) to see if it's worth it. Bought it to replace the small headset I use at home that were uncomfortable and gave aching pain on both of my top ears. The headsets cover the whole ear perfectly which are great but aren't comfortable. They squeeze your head tightly (Warning, if you have a medium or large size head you will feel it). The headsets come with 2 different wires, one for the computer that has a volume controller and a mic muter along with a wire adapter for the pink and green plugs on the back and the other is for PS4, XBOX ONE, and a mobile phone. The whole shenanigans is plastic and has a cheapy feel to it. The main part to it in all is the adjuster which is a very skinny plastic peace that looks like it can easily break which worries me. To test the sound quality I played Overwatch and Player Unknown Battle Grounds (PUBG). I couldn't really find any problems in Overwatch since all the noise in game mashes together which was hard to pin point any different noise changes or anything but for PUBG all the guns were high pitched when you shoot in combat. I didnt like that. Overall you get what you pay for. Spend the extra cash and do some research for better headsets other there.

DO NOT BUY THIS ITEMUsed to be $80 here and still is on some stores but I can see why the price is dropping for these pieces of junk.1) The ear cups are really uncomfortable and hurts your ears a bit2) The mic will stop working after a couple of months3) The mic and headset quality are really terrible compared to other headsetsIf you're looking for a casual headset, then I guess this is one especially due to its mutli-platform capability, but if you're serious about gaming, absolutely do not buy this! Worst $80 I've spent in a while.

I have absolutely love these headphones. super comfortable, great sound quality. only downside is the joints split and broke after a few months of use, might just be my big head, but the plastic construction certainly doesnt help. After repeatedly slipping the headset on and off the joints have produced cracks.Buyers be aware! But certainly worth the money!

Adequate Headset

There's nothing special about this headset. It was a good price and appears to be of relatively decent quality. Online friends have no problem hearing me, and I have no issue hearing them; it doesn't cause the "echo" issue some cheap headsets others have do. The mic is a bit stiff, but that's a minor complaint.

Budget headset with high end performance!

These headphones are awesome and what a great deal! I have a few sets of headphones and did a comparison on my iPhone. Between the SkullCandy MMM's, Samson Z25's and these Logitechs, the G233 outperformed the other 2 in bass response, dB peak output, and clean, crisp mid-to-hi range. I definitely recommend these for gaming and casual listening. Thanks!

Comfortable Headset with great Sound and Mic Quality

As someone who uses studio headphones and a quality desktop mic, I was rather impressed by how well the headset mic and audio sounded. Very well balanced and not any large chunks of missing frequencies like you get in cheaper headsets.Lastly what tops this headset off is that it can be used for PS4/Xbox too, as well as the Mic and Cables being detachable. So if one of them stops working, you can find a replacement part, not a replacement headset.The main cable for computers is a mic/audio combined one, so you can use it on Laptops with only a dual input. It also comes with a splitter for your standard PC mic/sound inputs.A separate smaller cable is provided for consoles to plug into the controllers with a boom mic in the cable (not enough power to run the plugin mic im guessing). This also doubles as an aux cord so you may plug it into your phone, detach the mic and use the headset as normal headphones, and with the smooth modern look of them, you'd fit right in on the bus or anywhere in public.Overall these are the best headphones i've ever seen for this price range and maybe a bit more! Would highly recommend (as you can tell by the novel i've written).

Decent set for the sale price, mic wouldn't work

My son purchased these headphones to use with his xBox controller. They have great sound and fit nicely. The problem we ran into is the headphones have one plug for the sound and one for the microphone. We had to go find a headphone and mic adapter because BestBuy doesn't carry them. Even with the adapter we couldn't get the microphone to work on either the xBox controller or my laptop.

For the price you can not beat it

I was skeptical because the price was so low but on there website it cost $99.99 at the time of this post, for $20 something can not be right. I chanced it and I am extremely impressed with the quality of it. It is Logitech and the quality is there. I would recommend this to anyone on a budget and wants good quality. The bass is crispy and it is lightweight and the foam ear pad is not to hard on your head. I could not think of a better set to have for the price of $20!!!!! Dont think about it parents, just buy it for your gamer children. It wont disappoint!!!!

Okay... at best

These are pretty much okay... at best.Pros: LightweightMic seems decentCons: Feels cheapThe material is pretty scratchy feeling on the head.Not very loud at all.Overall for 30 bucks its not too bad of deal but if you shop around you can find a much better deal on a headset. I'm probably going to return these and pick something better up the Razr Kraken X is only 20 dollars more and they have 7.1 surround.

The first Logitech product I've ever returned

The software that provides the 7.1 surround sound was extremely unreliable, often cutting out during the middle of gaming sessions and requiring a reboot of the software. In addition to this, the microphone constantly cuts in and out. Probably the worst issue was that the noise cancelling feature on the microphone does not work *at all* despite lots of researching online for solutions. This seems to be a really common complaint elsewhere. Finally, the microphone plays anything in the environment into the headset(!?!?!): so you hear yourself talking, you hear anything going on around you (since the noise cancellation does not work).
