The price tag at first boggles the mind, but once you have it arrive at your door you can see why before even removing it from the box. The unit itself is encased in foam and packaged in two boxes for safety. Once out of the box the building is quite easy and the smell of genuine leather emanates always. I bought one for my son and it is amazingly durable and customisable. The feel of it sitting in it is equivalent to a race car, it has an amazing feel and no part seems cheaply made. Downsides, majour downside of course being the price tag, but as mentioned once you fell one you see it is justified. The other being no wheels to move it around, but these can be easily installed from a hardware shop and the basic idea is not to move it anyways. The other main downside ... The other main downside is that the plate that holds the steering wheel is too high for little kids when the braces are used, without the braces it bounces around a bit and the pedals are too far away for kids. Mine I have not attached the pedals, simply use a clamp to hold them in place so for ease of swapping easily for little kids to teens/adults. The braces for the steering wheel plate do not fit at all but again a large clamp holds it up for teens/adults and can be removed easily for little kids to have it lower. All in all, no regretsat all with buying this, I would recommend any dad with a son to buy one!

Now, I love me some bacon, so for anything to be ranked above bacon, you know it's going to be good. First thing I noticed was the quality. Leather that actually feels like leather on the wheel; stainless steel paddle shifters and pedals. This thing is just such a step up from the DFGT I owned previously. The wheel is also extremely quiet. When it calibrates you can still vividly hear the neighbour's dog barking at various inanimate objects, and even the owner telling it off... It's just about silent. The force feedback feels a little less violent than the DFGT, but it certainly feels more legitimate. It's probably more because it's quieter that ... So I'll move to a few cons with the wheel. When you use the wheel on PC, the LED lights do not function. This isn't a problem, but it would be cool to see them in action. The new clamps can be slightly difficult to grip onto, but do hold the wheel down nicely. So summed up... I may as well just tell you to buy it. Because it's a great wheel, unless of course you own an Xbox... Which means it won't work, which isn't all that good in the end.

Unfortunately, mine came defective. In the profile that you install to use this item, there is a section for the clutch to be tested, it reads like a speed-o-meter, left means not pressed, all the way to the right means the pedal is pressed all the way down. Simple right? Well its not when it doesnt work. Right out of the box, the clutch was already defective. The profiler didnt recognize a clutch. Instead, it showed the meter all the way as if it was pressed down completely. Tried several things in different games to make it work and nothing. Another note on the profile didnt quite recognize the other buttons, most of them, and the shifter correctly either. The shifter set to 1st gear was picking up as 5th gear. 2nd gear was 6th gear. I recommend it, but you'd have to be really lucky to get a perfect unit that will work properly right away.

I specifically bought this wheel to complement my HTC Vive when playing racing games such as Project CARS. The force feedback in the wheel is great and the tension in the peddles, too. The choice to use the stick shift or the paddles is fantastic. The overall build quality is very good. Using this wheel with my VR headset increases my immersion immensely. My only gripes with the wheel concern the force feedback, as well as the sensor it uses for centering the wheel. The force feedback gripe is pretty small, essentially just being that the default force it applies is pretty unrealistic, but changing it is very simple. The sensor for recentering, on the other hand, can be a hassle to get fixed. Despite purchasing a factory refurbished model, I had to open the wheel up ... The sensor for recentering, on the other hand, can be a hassle to get fixed. Despite purchasing a factory refurbished model, I had to open the wheel up myself and apply epoxy to the sensor so that it would properly adhere to the shaft that turned with the wheel. While the fix is pretty easy to perform, for the price you'll be paying for the wheel, it shouldn't be something the consumer should have to handle.
I use a different shifter, one I like much better from another manufacturer. I just unplugged this one and stored it for future use if need be. I race at iracing and this wheel is the standard for most racers. It's cheaper than the competitors but built like a tank. I used a MOMO wheel for several years until I was ready to upgrade and the price was right. You could spend more money on a different brand but those wheels wont do anything more than this one to help you win races. I don't suspect I'll need to replace this one anytime soon but if I do I will definitely repurchase. The pedals are fantastic and I wish they plugged directly into the PC via a USB cable but they do not. They plug into the back of the wheel. You wont be able to use these pedals with another ... You wont be able to use these pedals with another wheel properly (You could plug both wheels in and just set this wheel aside if you wanted to use the pedals but some people may encounter hardware conflicts). For a stand alone unit for any racing application you simply cant go wrong here. The shifter is fine if you are a casual user. As always Newegg is the best with fast secure shipping and some of the best prices online! One last note: this will mount to a wide variety of desks and table tops with the supplied screw down clamps which is great for the casual user. If you plan to use this wheel a lot, buy a racing chair or mount directly to your desk with bolts. They are not supplied but the wheel, shifter, and pedals all have threaded holes in order for them to be tightened down for permanent placement. In my case this is a must because several hours of pumping the brake and gas and turning on the wheel will require regular tightening of the clamps.
This thing survived 2 years in a college house, and 3 years of use, and is still going strong. Started losing calibration (get to a straight and the wheel is sideways), but that's just due to the optical wheel. Swap a new one in and it's as good as gold. You can buy stronger metal ones for about $40 shipped online. The shifter may not feel sturdy, but it works flawlessly and is stronger than it appears. If drunk college students don't break it, normal people won't. Same goes for the pedals. I highly recommend unbolting the pedals and moving them out a notch, makes it feel much less cramped. The wheel is very strong, and the mounts are great, I've never had someone pull it off of it's mount (same goes for the shifter mount). If you press the two middle red buttons on ... If you press the two middle red buttons on the shifter and one of the 4 black buttons simultaneously, you can change the rotation from 900 to as little as 270 degrees. These are the "start/select" red buttons and the triangle/square/circle/x buttons on the stock PS3 mapping. This also reduced the deadzone by an appropriate amount, and effectively "speeds up" the sensitivity. Makes a huge difference in how it feels A racing seat/cockpit is almost needed to use this thing, it's not meant to be clamped to your keyboard tray. It will break it, the FFB can be VERY strong.
For those of you who will rate this down because it was so long or so hateful, please realize that I am a loyal Logitech customer of almost 15 years, and it is sad that I am treated with such disrespect. I have always stood by Logitech products, and always trusted the Logitech name and brand. But after this experience, I am very disappointed. If they expect me to be happy with waiting two weeks to replace an item I paid good money for, then they obviously don't know much about Customer Satisfaction. The worst part is, if they refund me instead of replace the item (since it is at Logitech's discretion) I am out a racing wheel, as the money I get back won't even be close enough to buy one of Logitech's wheels now (plus, the newer wheels don't include the shifter, it's ... The worst part is, if they refund me instead of replace the item (since it is at Logitech's discretion) I am out a racing wheel, as the money I get back won't even be close enough to buy one of Logitech's wheels now (plus, the newer wheels don't include the shifter, it's an additional $59.99 and the wheel and pedals like $399.99). So, hopefully they work with me and replace instead of refund, as I will truly miss this wheel if not. I give the G27 three eggs. Mostly because, while my experience with Logitech's support and the company's ability to ignore flaws in products and never repair / recall them made my upset, the wheel itself is still pretty good overall. It's a ton of fun, and I'm going to hate playing OMSI 2 and Project CARS with my Xbox controller until I get a new wheel. It's just sad that Logitech are going to screw me over and treat me so poorly when I am a loyal customer, just like many others who were subjected to the same things. Go take a look at the Logitech support forums, and see how many people have stories about Logitech support, or not helping them out. Many of the threads never even get a response from anyone from Logitech, which is sad. Obviously for Logitech, nowadays it has become more about the money and profits than it is about customer satisfaction and protecting your company name and brand.
First off, this spring arrived within a couple of days from Australia to Indiana USA! That alone has me excited! Secondly, while $20+ seems excessive for a simple spring, I can agree but did not have any luck sourcing one that fit easily with the same tension I needed to upgrade the brake "feel". I placed this spring in the brake pedal spring holder along with a cutout of some high-density foam that was the length of the spring and fit inside. This gives it that "stiff" feel when you push the pedal down to the floor and adds more firmness to the pedal. I placed the old brake spring in the clutch pedal, and the old clutch spring into the accelerator. This gives me a much more realistic feel to the pedals across the board. Be aware that if your wheel stand doesn't have good weight or traction to it, these upgrades can push the pedals away from you. The carpet tack-strip inside the Logitech pedals becomes useless after this upgrade and will call for your pedals to be more secured to the floor or stand by other means. An allen key, and a phillips-head screwdriver is all you need to do this 10 minute upgrade. Setup: Thrustmaster T300RS, Logitech G27 pedal set w/serial convertor, TH8A Shifter. Connected to PS4
Those that complain about the brakes and FFB Being weaker than they should be, I don't know what you're smoking but this is definately a fair amount of resistance compared to the MOMO I just migrated from. (It still works after 8 years, by the way) What would have been plenty of brake force on the MOMO is barely using any on the G27. It feels MUCH more authentic both in the pedals and in the steering -- Driving is MUCH more fluid and catching a sliding race car has gotten a whole lot harder. The gated shifter works well, as do all the extra buttons. As was said long ago, the LEDs work on all supported games without doing anything special. This spring while not the stiffest, provide a great progressive feel to the brake compared to the stock linear spring the G27 comes with.
