Logitech K580 Slim Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard

Love this keyboard - its the second one I had, but colleagues I worked with previously also loved it and I ended up giving it away when I left the role. Its so handy being able to flick between main screen and phone messaging at a touch of a button. Really keeps you connected. I also love how you can switch the keyboard off to save battery power. Have used this keyboard (and its predecessor) for three years.

Pro: great keyboard. Very soft touch, short travel square keys. Can pair with Logitech Unifying receiver - so my Pebble mouse works with it too. Works with 2 devices so I can use it as a KVM, switching from wireless to bluetooth to use 2 completely different devices at the same time. Bluetooth switching is fast, less than a second. Good battery life. Con: very minor, arrow keys are so small they're difficult to find when typing fast.

I have had this K580 Keyboard now for over a year and it is an excellent keyboard, in fact for me personally it is the best keyboard I have used including out of the full size ones as well. The Keys are just so easy to type on, at first I was worried, but since moving to this type of keyboard I would not go back to a mechanical keyboard, or a large full size one, as this is so much easier to type on. Regarding Battery Life, to be honest It is absolutely amazing, this will sound false, but in all the time I have had this K580 keyboard I have never had to charge it or change the batteries, I don't know how it does that, because I use my Keyboard 7 days a week and for an average of 16-18hrs everyday. I use this K580 with a MX Master 3 Mouse, running Windows 11. I use the Logitech LogiOptions Plus App to Pair them all up and change settings when I want to. Good size keyboard, material is good but not as sleek as one would expect. Definitely lots of improvements that could be had: - if only the caps lock key has a light to show when there is caps lock, currently can't tell unless you type on the screen to test it - the phone slot is a bit too tiled, would be better if had more option to adjust tilting angle based on how you want to view the phone - the arrow keys are quite small, especially for up and down, would be good if they were bigger - the blue tooth switch function is good, but still takes a few seconds to switch to phone, so not as seamless as expected. But overall is a good functioning keyboard. Not sure if I would fully recommend it based on above points, but its ok.

2 fatal flaws

The key response is great. I wish I could keep this keyboard. But there are two major issues that are not solvable: 1. There is no caps lock key. I've been on with Logitech support for a couple of hours to try to figure this out, without success. 2. There is a sleep button right above the backspace key. Prepare to accidentally put your computer to sleep several times a day. Unfortunately the Logitech Options software to remap keys (not possible for sleep button) does not work because it does not detect the keyboard (again, been on to Logitech support, without success). Good keyboard, but two flaws that make it garbage. Will be returning.

Comfort keyboard

Very satisfied with the purchase. The keyboard is very nice, light, and comfortable. Bought for my husband K580 Slim Multi-Device. I bought a model for myself K780 Multi-Device Wireless Keyboard. Both keyboards are very comfortable to use, quiet, comfortable, and switch quickly from one device to another. Using for over a year. I advise you to buy it. Thank you!

Great buy

Excellent Keyboard! The keys are responsive and it feels nice to use. The ability to swap between two devices with one key is brilliant. I let someone else have a try and they have now bought one, but went with the slightly different model to get the pebble mouse with it. I have also found it quite handy being able to stand your phone on this one, could be used for a pen if your travelling and don't want it rolling away. The bit of weight it does have with the rubber pads make it nicely stable and gives it a quality feel, but still so easy to move or stow

So Far So Good

It may be a bit basic, but for me it was the only thing I could find that was compatible with my Asus CT100. Turns out the slot fits the tablet perfectly in portrait mode and it is super satisfying to type on. Not only that, I am able to switch back and forth instantaneously from the tablet to my PC with one key press and it is much less noisy than my mechanical G513 so I can use it in quiet environments. Unless it suddenly breaks on me (unlikely, as I am still using my 5 year old Logitech K800 without issue) then this is easily a 5 star product, though perhaps a bit pricey at $50. Best Buy had it for $32 which is a really good value and at that price it's an easy recommendation.

Toggle between 2 connected devices - brilliant!

This is the 2nd one I've bought... no the other one did not break, I'm a remote worker so I keep one at the on-site office for when I go in and my new one stays in my home office. It is the perfect size to keep my mousing arm close to my body to avoid neck strain; yet it has all the features of the standard keyboard including a key pad for number entry. I used to have both my PC and laptop set up via the dedicated bluetooth switching buttons (PC - 1, laptop - 2) but now that I have two keyboards I have bluetooth button no.1 dedicated to each computer and button no.2 on each keyboard is dedicated to my phone.
