A superior keyboard and a happy wife

This K750 Logitech keyboard is superior to any other keyboard I have used. I recently purchased this one not because there is anything wrong with the K750 I originally owned, but my wife needed another keyboard for her computer, so she commandeered my K750. Now we both have our own superior keyboard, but I get the new one. Yeah!No batteries needed, a great feel to the keys, just the right footprint for a full keyboard, and it's a Logitech. Doesn't get much better than that!

I have used many keyboards since the 1980s, but for many years now I buy only these. They have many benefits and no issues I have yet to find. The few that have died did so only after many years of hard service and after my getting my monies worth from them.

Good product, but some flimsy parts

I love this keyboard: the low profile, the tactile feel, and the solar power. I haven’t charged it in probably over a year. It draws enough power from residual light through the windows (even with blinds drawn)But some of the construction is a little flimsy. The legs can come off or sit uneven, and the brackets that hold the keys on are prone to break or lose tabs. This is the second keyboard I’ve had so I’ve used some of the parts from the old on, but I’ve run out. I don’t have anymore spares.

Impressive Features and Low Profile
4 March 2024

I purchased this keyboard to use with my Dell laptop at home along with a monitor for work and light gaming. I've only been using it for a few days now, but my initial impression is pretty positive. The keys are very low profile; almost laptop-like, so not great for gaming. However, it's very quiet and responsive. It is not small by any means, and won't fit in my 18" laptop backpack, so take the size into account when deciding where and how you want to use this. My favorite feature is the solar charging. I am the most forgetful person you will ever meet, and batteries are not my friends. If there's a mouse like this, I'll be buying it. As long as you leave this keyboard under LED light, or in range of an uncovered window, you'll never need to worry if it's charged. ... MoreI purchased this keyboard to use with my Dell laptop at home along with a monitor for work and light gaming. My only wish is that the keyboard could have the option to be backlit for use at night, even at the cost of charging. It's honestly not that big of a deal, though, as I use a lamp most times. As it stands right now, the keyboard is an easy 10/10 for me.

LOVE the solar wireless keyboard!
12 July 2024

If you care about sustainability, or even if you don't, this is an amazing keyboard. No batteries, no wires. I like the feel of the keys, it can lay flat or use slightly raised. The first one I had lasted for years and years, but I dropped it and cracked the solar panel and lost a couple of keys. It still worked! But I opted for a new one and recycled my old one (take the battery out first if you recycle!) My ONLY complaint is that there is not a light for the caps lock key, but honestly, its such a minor thing that you actually get used to. I've been using this keyboard for over 10 years and love it. I wouldn't mind a smaller version without the number pad, but please never discontinue this!!!

Logitech K750 Solar Keyboard is Outstanding
18 February 2023

This is my 2nd K750 (I use at home and work). I'm now in my 10th year of owning the first K750 and just last week had to replace the ML2032 Rechargeable Button Battery in it because the battery capacity had slowly started to diminish and the charge quickly died. 10 years people; that's amazing! The hardware itself is still working at 100% capability; I've had no issues with either keyboard. The *only* sign of wear and tear is that the surface of the keys have been "polished" (i.e. are glossy) by years of usage. Interestingly, this glossy effect is only on the black area of the key; the white lettering of each key has not worn off or been polished at all. In other words, both keyboards still look almost brand new. Looking forward to another 10 years because I love ... MoreThis is my 2nd K750 (I use at home and work). In other words, both keyboards still look almost brand new. Looking forward to another 10 years because I love this keyboard. The "chicklet" low-profile keys are quiet and perfect for my very quick typing ability. My office is not well lit and after 2 weeks using the new battery, I'm still at a 100% charge. All of the Function Keys capabilities work as intended. For example, when you press the Blue Function key and the F-12 key together, the PC goes into Sleep mode or press the Blue Function Key and F-4, the Calculator app launches. I love the accompanying Solar App (must be downloaded separately from the Logitech website, or at least you used to have to download it separately; that may have changed now). Its button is to the left of the On/Off switch and when pressed, tells your charge and LUX level. For reference, right now in my home office, my LUX level is 40, which is very low, and yet the keyboard has been at 100% for 2 weeks. When I put the keyboard in direct sunlight in front of a window to charge (not required), it jumps to 500 LUX and that's when it charges super fast. Buy this keyboard now; you won't regret it.

Nice concept but poor manufacturing quality means this keyboard won't last.

Seriously I wouldn't get this keyboard you've been warned. I've had 4 of them and they are all junk now. Two were brand new the other two were second hand and the longest one lasted was approximately 2 years. The two second hand ones lasted months but were all working fine initially. There is most definitely a manufacturing defect with them. After a while you get phantom keys (A key will continuously randomly depress without you depressing. I've got four of them and may try and open one up and see if I can Frankenstein them from the other 3 and see if I can get a working one again but I wouldn't hold up much hope of it lasting much past a couple years. Nice keyboard great concept (Solar Powered) but poor manufacturing quality makes this a hard no. I've had other Logitech keyboards and mice that have lasted a long time so I wouldn't say the company is bad. It's just THIS keyboard is poorly manufactured.

Review of Logitech K750 Wireless Solar Powered Keyboard

Good Points: 1) The keys are slightly dished, which is essential for touch typing as it helps your fingers to feel when they are or are not in the correct position. I make far more mistakes when typing on keyboards with the (oh-so-stylish) flat keys.2) The keys are not silent but make only a light clicking sound.3) The keys have a short travel with a gentle but distinct click, so they are not hard to type on and yet you also know when you have depressed them. It is an excellent design.4) The keyboard connects to your computer wirelessly (the computer needs a spare USB socket to plug in the little radio receiver which comes with the keyboard), so there is one less cable trailing over your desk and tangling with your mouse. Hurray!!!5) It is completely ... MoreGood Points: 1) The keys are slightly dished, which is essential for touch typing as it helps your fingers to feel when they are or are not in the correct position. Hurray!!!5) It is completely solar-powered, which means no batteries or power cable. Magnificent!!!6) My first Logitech K750 keyboard lasted me about 5 years. It has a little coin-size rechargeable battery for storing the solar energy. When this stopped recharging after about 5 years the keyboard simply stopped working, so for about £7 I bought an identical new battery which had the identical writing etched on it, but it did not recharge even after weeks in the sunshine on the window sill. So I bought a whole new keyboard, and chose to get the same Logitech K750 because of its many virtues.Improvement Points: 1) It has no Caps-Lock light, so you don't know if you're using caps or not when typing a password. This is undoubtedly tiresome.2) It has no context menu key. Instead, you have to press two keys, one on the bottom row, one on the top row, and to do that you have to take your eyes off the screen, look down at your keybaord, and carefully place your fingers one at a time. If you press one key to the left of the top button the computer hibernates - arrgghh! I use the context menu constantly for proofreading in Word, and the lack of a dedicated key for this is a real pest. I accept the pain of it because of the keyboard's many other virtues, but I find it a serious problem.

Wireless Solar Keyboard for Mac
31 August 2024

This is the second identical keyboard I have bought, since I wore out the first one. I have loved it from the first time I used it originally several years ago, and waited a year to replace the first one until I moved back to the US so I could assure delivery. The best part is not having to replace batteries all the time as I did with the original Apple version. I love that it is saving energy and making my life easier. The only change I would make is to put a light on the caps lock key to indicate when it is active. It's a small distraction, and one can live with.
