The wireless connection is excellent, and I haven't experienced significant loss of signal or lag within 8ft of my computer or laptop. I prefer the separate keyboard and mouse to the keyboard and pad on my laptop when at home or at my desk at work. I have used two mice on two separate computers, side-by-side, without any signal interference. I like the positive feel and full size of the keyboard. The mouse is great. The last two Logitech mice I had were anything but that. I've dropped this one a hardwood floor many times, 7or 8, and it keeps on ticking. Works well. That keyboard has me on the verge of pulling my hair out though. I normally type at 35 wpm or so. Since I've had this keyboard from the bowels of Hades the most used key has been the backspace to remove typos. If I type any faster than 10 wpm it throws multiple duplicate letters into the mix so that 'horse' winds up as 'hooorsse' when this treasure is done thinking for me.I wish I could get paid for all the hours I have spent on the web trying to correct what is really not correctable. I'm using mine from about 20 feet away from my pc and it works! The only caveat is that the signal can't go through walls or around corners, so if you need to use it similar to me, you should try to make sure you are at least at a straight angle from the usb dongle. My set up is a little bit iffy sometimes, but not too bad. I suppose if I were to do it all over again, I would get a Bluetooth one because I have devices that definitely go through walls that I'm currently using. But serious, it DOES work well.
