"Free Travel Case" Scam

The case has been out of stock for months and they have no intention of actually sending a free one as marketed. If they were an honest company they wouldn't have a banner on their website telling you a free case comes with this mouse when it is out of stock.Logitech support has been horrendous throughout this process. I have waited entire months for responses. One support agent didn’t know the MX Anywhere 3 was a product they sold. I had to send him a link to the product page.Suspiciously, recent (03/2023) bad reviews of this product are hidden from the first page of reviews and can be found on page 16+ mixed in with old reviews from 2022.In regards to the actual mouse, the exterior build quality is good and the magnetic scroll wheel is really nice. The scroll wheel gestures are great for Mac users that use several desktops. But... they absolutely cheaped out on some of the electronics. This mouse constantly disconnects from my MacBook over both Bluetooth and the provided receiver. It cannot be relied on for casual gaming, or for anything creative that requires long clicks and dragging the mouse (3D modeling, Photoshop, drawing, etc.) because the mouse will disconnect in the middle of dragging and mess up your work. This issue is so bad and persistent, Logitech has an entire support page and feedback area of their app dedicated to it.

Denied replacement under warranty because the warranty expired after I opened the service ticket with Logitech support

I answered the questions again and attached my purchase receipt to my reply and sent it to Logitech. I didn't receive any further communication from Logitech for a few days so I sent a follow up email asking for confirmation that they received my prior email, in addition to requesting they provide info on the next steps for replacing my mouse under warranty. On 7/31 I receive a reply from Logitech that stated my mouse would not be replaced because it was no longer under warranty. So to recap... When I reported the issue and opened the ticket with Logitech Support on 7/23/2022 my mouse was still under warranty and I was told in that chat session it would be replaced. However, the warranty expired on 7/26/2022 while I was waiting on a response from Logitech. When Logitech finally did respond on 7/31 the warranty had expired and the decision was made not to replace my mouse even though the warranty was still valid when I reported the issue and opened the ticket and even though I had been waiting on a response from Logitech since 7/23/2022. I have been a loyal Logitech fan for decades (Harmony remotes, keyboard, MX Mouses etc...) but that ends now. Any company that places so little value on my business and is looking for any excuse not to stand behind their products simply does not deserve my business.

What also is a bummer is every time I scroll down, it will go up a line and back down, creating a jittering effect. I thought I might have just gotten a lemon, but I have seen other users have this same experience. I might try the Master instead of the Anywhere but not been impressed with Logitech lately.

The only negative Ive come across, is that the sensor seemingly turns off occasionally while stationary connected via bluetooth even if stationary for only a couple of seconds. This is far from ideal. Perhaps theres software settings to fix this Im yet to check, though its not much of an issue in regards to production work IMO. Apart from that issue with the sensorsettings, the only other reason that I havent permanently switched out my G502 LS with this for my gaming mouse, is simply the lack of Lightspeed compatibility. If Logitech were to ever release a version with both Lightspeed and the Hero 16k sensor or better, it would be the absolute perfect mouse. 4.6 5

Loved it, but very sensitive to dust
30 March 2023

I loved the size, the fast scrolling wheel, the Bluetooth compatibility, the fact that it can be used on multiple devices and the fact that it worked on just about any shiny surface. However, it was very sensitive to dust. If you want to carry it around as the advertisement encourages you to do, you need to place it in a sealed container. The first two times I cleaned it I was able to restored its full functionality, although the second time I had to open it and, although no dust was visible inside the mouse, a few air blasts restored its functionality. The third time I had to clean it, I had to open it again, but I accidentally touched a part that was not supposed to be touched. I've used it for two years and it ended in a landfill. If you don't mind replacing your mouse every other year, this one is for you! If you want a reliable mouse, keep shopping.

MX 2 had better form
9 January 2023

My MX 2 died and I was stoked to get the MX 3 because I am eager to get all my devices on USB-C. However, the charging port wasn't the only feature that changed. The MX 3 also has a different form factor which is shorter and less natural and less comfortable than the MX 2. Also, the new line-by-line scroll is so bizarre. They changed how the scroll function works, I can't explain it but it's far choppier than the MX2. Also, they got rid of one of the most important features from the MX 2: The ability to scroll left/right by pushing the wheel to the left and/or right. It tracks on almost all surfaces, it's smooth with minimal resistance, and the battery life is pretty great. All in all, this mouse is probably going to be okay for most people, but if you've been using MX mouses for a while now, you may have come to expect certain features that are no longer available

Normally I'm a Trackball Guy, but this Mouse has Won Me Over

My preference, trackballs, are great for stationary workspaces but they unfortunately provide diminishing returns as they decrease in size (the bigger and heavier they are, the more accurate) so I grabbed the MX Anywhere 3 for working on the go.I can safely say I am more than satisfied with this invaluable part of my mobile workspace. It can withstand my toddler son and his proclivity to imitate Newton using my mouse in lieu of an apple. It was nice for Logitech to take the time to say, "Hello, lover of the free and open source. Take this mouse and venture forth."In all seriousness, this is a great mouse. It's comfortable, durable, accurate, and the scroll wheel is like nothing else on the market. A solid recommendation well worth the cost.

Probably my favorite mouse I've ever used!

So Logitech has been hitting it out of the park with their lineups over recent years. For the longest time I've been using the M720 Triathlon which I absolutely LOVE, because it can connect via USB adapter or Bluetooth and I especially love the size and features/functionality. I thought it was a winner all around. That being said, upon discovering the release of Logitech's MX Anywhere 3, I simply had to get in on the action, simply because of the rave reviews from the previous version (the Anywhere 2S). Also has the full suite of options and features that Logitech offers in its upscale line of models and customizable as well. One gripe I find a bit odd is that the scroll wheel cannot tilt side to side like the Triathlon does, which I did find surprising. Besides that, the MX Anywhere 3 is better on a wider variety of surfaces and the cursor itself just seems to glide more effortlessly on the screen. It's also an attractive design.

This is an easy recommendation, unless, maybe, you are using this for gaming.

I often have to pick up the mouse in order to move my cursor to the right spot while gaming and click just a little harder than I do with my other mouse. Overall those two aspects are less comfortable.Pros: Great scrolling wheel with other features such as changing the scrolling type and undo/redo buttons for PC's. Works well with many different products and is recharable. Easy Bluetooth connection. Portable.Cons: Experiences with moving the mouse and using the mouse clickers is not very smooth compared to my other logitech mouse (the G305). Better suited to using with Macs or general use with browsers or documents.
