Logitech MX Master 3 Wireless Mouse for Mac

This is THE mouse to get for productivity! I have completely switched to working from home (wfh life) while being a full-time student. Online classes are a breeze with this thing being easy to program. If I take it on campus then the receiver is much closer to my laptop than on my PC. I've experienced some lagging due to the distance from the receiver to the mouse, so to fix that I bought a USB extender to move it under my monitor (make sure your monitor has a USB port). I love how easy their software is to navigate as well, especially when switching between apps and modifying the buttons to your liking. For example, my side buttons for Zoom are to mute or unmute/ turn on off the camera. I made the side scroll to switch between tabs on chrome. Ergonomic (I have small hands but the mouse feels comfortable and not clunky) 2. Scroll wheel fluidity (hyper scroll is fluid and smooth/ratchet is not loud 3. Side wheel exists 4. Wheels do not have rubber material (less dirt, lint, grime stuck) 5. Logitech Options software (easy to use, Beta is available, the layout looks sleek and minimalistic) 6. Long battery life (one full charge = 1 month+ before recharging!!) 7. Wireless (no annoying cables getting in the way and it makes my "work station/battle station" look better lol Cons: 1. If the receiver is too far, lag is possible (my mouse was glitching and lagging behind. I would slide over a link to share a post on social media, only to have it jump to the other side of the screen) **USB extender can work 2. Too high/bulky (this is not a con for me but can be for others. My mom, friends, etc did not like how high up the midsection is and stated they prefer a flatter mouse) 3. Flow may not work (Flow is an option to use the mouse and drag it to other monitors/devices. I used it on my Asus monitor to switch it to my 2nd monitor (Apple product) and sometimes it works but possible dealbreaker for you

Beautifully weighted, feature loaded, MX Master 3

Logitech know how to build their computer accessories! I have had this mouse three weeks and absolutely love it. It seamlessly connects and switches between three devices with the press of a button on the bottom of the mouse (two laptops and my mobile). The feel says quality and the weighting feels great, not too light but equally glides over surfaces without effort. Up and down and side to side scrolling fantastic with quality wheels. It is important to note that you need to be able to download the logitech software for this mouse to fully customise the features. This may not be possible if you want to use the mouse on your work computer where you may not have the right permissions to download the software. Not having to keep batteries handy is brilliant. I always have a charging cable handy but don't carry batteries. The only improvement I would ask for is put the button to control swapping between devices on top so that you don't have to turn it upside down to access it. It is a pricey item but you can always wait for a sale, and once you have it you won't let go of it!

Excellent All Day Mouse

I had the MX Master 2S as my daily driver at work for several years, but never really had a good mouse at home. Eventually decided that I should get a separate mouse for home so I didn't accidentally leave my work mouse at home.Anyway. The MX Master 3 is a nice, if not really necessary upgrade from the already excellent 2S. It is a comfortable mouse that gives excellent battery life, to a point where I can't even remember when I last charged it despite all day use.It is smooth and responsive over all surfaces. I use mine over Bluetooth and find it to be highly responsive and smooth without any noticed input lag. It suits me fine for gaming as well as office tasks.Swapping between devices is easy enough and reliable. I have owned many many mice throughout my life. I first began using the included mice with my desktops that I purchased. I then purchased a wireless logitech mouse (that used to have the massive bluetooth modules which needed to be placed desktops). I than went through a phase of using gaming mice (razer naga/mamba, RAT 3, corsair glaive, steelseries). I finally settled on the MX master 3 12 months ago. This mouse has been perfect for my use (gaming and work). It is an excellent build quality and seamlessly works with my mx master keyboard. My only wish is to have the mouse be slightly larger (as I have large hands) so I'd like a mouse that I can palm but i have ample space to readjust and comfortably rest my hand and Im always in comfortable control. An option to increase productivity with the mouse is to add more than one button underneath the thumb rest. You could potentially have a vibrating tactile system like the macbook trackpads do, and make it programmable to add different gestures or different clickable zones that can be modified to do whatever you please, but Please be careful if you so choose to integrate the above idea because the best part of the mx master products are they are simple, easy to use, clean, premium build quality peripherals that don't have any of the nonsense gimmicks on the gaming peripherals. To retain that feel you need to keep this mouse gimmick free so that self respecting adults feel happy purchasing these devices (I don't want to feel like a geek with stupid gestures on my mouse and fiddling like a 13yo computer nerd).Keep up the good work logitech.The other thing is to work on the pricing - this is a competitive market so I think the sub$100AUD market is ideal. You'll sell a lot to professionals in the future, and I think a lot of gamers will like having this because it looks less stupid than gaming mice.

Media editing mouse magic

I got this mouse to use as with Mac editing photos and video. I uses Capture One and Photoshop for editing photos and Davinci Resolve for video. One of the huge advantages I have found with this mouse is the automatic profile change and customization of buttons and actions for each software. This has been amazingly powerful and the software to customize the mouse is very simple and easy to use. Over the couple of weeks I keep trying different setups to simplify my workflow by identifying the most used shortcuts on each software and quickly replacing them with buttons or gestures. It has made my use of capture one a lot more efficient.As a tool for video editing this mouse is amazing. I wish you could make different profiles inside Davinci Resolve for the different modules of the software (cut, edit, colour, audio and effects) but maybe I haven't found a way yet. It's still has simplified and sped up my workflow.I wish you could have this versatility in the Vertical or ergo versions. But I sacrificed a bit of ergonomics for the versatility. It still is one of the most comfortable mice I've ever used.Over all I have no complaints about it and I'm sure there's so much more I can do when I customize to each piece of software.

Nice hardware, questionable software.

I have had the MX Master 3 for a while now and the mouse is great. I feels nice, and works great across three computers which is a huge plus if you have more than one device. The battery last ages too which is great, but you can always change while using it when it eventually dies.The one major negative regarding the mouse is the software. Using it was pretty simple at first and was necessary for me to use the thumbwheel since the default sensitive is far too low and I like the scrolling to be inverted. The problem arose when one day I found that my computer was unable to launch any executables including the command prompt. Turns out the culprit was the Logitech software which had somehow caused major issues while running. From that day I could use the software without it breaking everything so I have lived without it. Don't like using the thumbwheel anymore though because it has reverted to default :(

Refined Excellence

I have had a MX Master 2S for 2 years now. I almost everything about it, from the large ergonomic size. Which perfectly fits my hand. To the multitude of button options allowing my to work more often without even having to touch my keyboard. The MX Master 3 has improved on some areas that were modestly lacking for me personally on the 2S. The forward and back buttons now have an easier distinction just based on feel. On the 2S I found myself accidentally hitting the wrong one. So I abandoned using these buttons for the most part. The other improvement piece is the charging interface. The move Type C was inevitable but still very welcome to see when moving to the MX 3. The only thing I can subtract from the MX 3 versus the 2S is the shape. I’ve owned the MX Master 2 and now the MX Master 3. It’s so good that my dad, mum and brother all use this mouse. It is very nice to hold, and the side scroll is a must have when using excel or other programs with horizontal scroll. All the buttons can be rebound to what ever key you need! I work in an office and too often I see coworkers scrolling through hundreds of cells on excel, this mouse has the best infinity scroll I’ve ever seen. Are you tired of hearing the clicking of the scroll wheel? You can activate the infinite scroll to quietly scroll through documents too! At home, at School, at university, at work. It’s really easy since the mouse is Bluetooth and you can have 3 computers connected to the mouse at a time.

Both mice have programable buttons. However the Logitech software more than makes up the difference, it has a much more robust selection of options. I am using an IBM (Unicomp) Model M keyboard which doesn't have media controls, so I thought having the media controls on my Logitech MX Master 3 mouse was very cool. I am using this MX Master 3 mouse on a Dell OptiPlex 3080 running Windows 11. When the mouse is paired and connected the software automatically downloads and installs.
