Also the palm rest is some kind of material that has some spongeness under it, it very nice and does not look or feel cheap.Overall, I would rate this keyboard in the 8 out of 10 for Value and looks.10 out of 10 for usability and not having any issues, I have only had this for 3 weeks now.

Great Mouse, Mushy Keyboard

I was using a flatter and cheaper logi wireless keyboard and even enjoy the wired stock Dell chiclet keyboard for office/CAD work. You could definitely tell this combo keyboard was "membrane" which I never gave much thought to until I used this keyboard. I really wanted to like it after a week but ended up returning it unfortunately due to the keyboard. I would recommend someone buy the mouse separately...

Issues after 5 Months
27 April 2022

I bought this keyboard and really enjoyed if for a while, the 3 device support is quick and easy. I started having issues after the first month where the ‘a’ key would stick and result in multiple entry’s. Then recently the ‘1’ key on the keypad because basically a touchscreen where if you even slightly brush the key (placing no force on actual key what-so-ever) the keyboard would read it as clicking the button. This made the keyboard unusable as anytime you used the number pad a ‘1’ was bound to show up even if you did not press the ‘1’ button. Logitech advised this is not something they would cover as the device was still “working”. I tried cleaning the keyboard fully (wasn’t really dirty to begin with) and still had issues, then I was left with the only option to ... MoreI bought this keyboard and really enjoyed if for a while, the 3 device support is quick and easy. Extremely frustrated with this device after how expensive it is compared to other easy to use devices. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT

Logitech - MK850 A Great Keyboard & Mouse combo

Let me start by saying, I’m kind of a Logitech snob! I have two Joysticks, a MoMo Steering wheel & two sets of 5.1 speakers! My old Logitech Optical Keyboard and Mouse combo finally died, may it rest in peace! It had served me well for almost 20 years, that say’s a lot of the quality of Logitech products! So naturally, I went to my local Best Buy to check out the latest Keyboard and Mouse combo sets.Let me first say, I’m a person who likes to try on my shoes before I buy, so after testing the feel & feedback of all the keyboards keys & mice, I purchased the Logitech - MK850 Performance Full-size Wireless Optical Keyboard and Mouse combo, in black.I like the way the keyboard is weighed, it has a well built feel to it. The mouse has a good contour that feels just right in my hand. The buttons are crisp and work well. I really like the On/Off switch on the mouse, my older Logitech Keyboard & Mouse combo didn’t have that, that’s how old it was!I noticed that the keyboard has an auto shut off feature. I didn’t see it until I went into the software to set it up that it did that, nice touch! Speaking of which, the software auto download’s and is easy to use. The set-up was a snap and the Logitech MK850 Keyboard & Mouse combo worked right out of the box, no issues. I have two P.C.’s on my desk, so I purchased a second Logitech - USB Unifying Receiver. The keyboard & mouse have corresponding numbers on them to indicate which device is active, so you would think it would be “brain dead dumb” to set-up, right? Not quite! Here’s where the only issue I have with this Logitech MK850 Keyboard & Mouse combo comes up.First the software has to be installed on both P.C.’s before you can set the Keyboard & Mouse combo to the number you want (It defaults to number one) The instructions are really vague on this. The mouse worked correctly, just read the instructions, the keyboard was another story. The instructions tell you to turn off the mouse and then turn it back on to assign it the corresponding number (1,2 or 3) No problem, these are on the mouse & keyboard. That worked fine, the keyboard doesn’t have an off switch, so you have to remove one of the batteries! Then put it back in, and then assign it the number you want it to be.The instructions make no mention of this! After having & using the Logitech MK850 Performance Full-size Wireless Optical Keyboard and Mouse combo for two month’s I have to say I love this set-up. I highly recommend this keyboard & mouse combo, I’m sure it will serve me well for another 20 years!

Ive had endless different types of keyboard over the decades and ended up with this one after looking for a low profile backlit keyboard. I did not want or need it to be wireless because I wanted backlighting. As it turns out, this is the only low profile keyboard you can buy with backlit keys... and its wireless. I took a chance on it needing to be plugged in at all times, but in fact I only insert the plug about once a week at the most. The keys are excellent... no rubbery response here. The backlighting works. The Bluetooth wireless is unreliable but the included WIFI dongle is perfect... has no delays and is always connected. Construction is very solid. The backlighting has too much bleed around the keys thats for the designers to improve next time. Regardless, Ill buy another one as a backup if they are ever available at a serious sale price.

Love it, but some fit + finish issues

This is overall a great keyboard. It's ergonomic, comfortable, and a great size (if you aren't looking for portability). I just have a couple issues: the rubber feet on the tilt legs keep falling off, and I've had this for less than a month. In and of itself, it doesn't make a huge difference for usability, especially since I can just use a drop of superglue to fix it. But it does make me question the long-term durability of the product. Also, the customizability of the Options+ software leaves a lot to be desired. The mouse and keyboard shortcuts don't work within the app itself, which is ironic. The mouse and keyboard shortcuts don't work within the app itself, which is ironic. And setting up more than just one or two app-specific customizations becomes tedious, because there's no way to customize a group of apps (for example, if you want the forward and back buttons to be redo and undo in all MS Office apps, you have to set them one-by-one). There are even some setups which don't work when app-specific, but do when set as Global (like setting a button to be play/pause as an app-specific setting for Spotify won't work, but that same button with the same setting as a Global option works fine. Which is great if you want play/pause more than anything else, but not if you want that button for another function except in Spotify). The ease of setup just means a couple minutes of tedium, and would probably bring my review up by half a star or so if fixed. Broken app-specific customizations are the other star and a half.

The top had a button that toggles between click and fast scroll which feels kinda flimsy but it's ok, don't really use it much anyways. The one thing that threw me for a loop was the thumb button that natively toggles a desktop view which is useful except for when im in a game and i hit it and it brings me out of the game. Need to adjust the setting.

Perfect WFH Keyboard!

Definitely one of the best keyboard and mice sets I have ever owned! Perfect for a WFH and for-fun set up. Especially if you switch from a Mac to a PC! Super easy to switch between my work computer and personal computer within seconds and the Bluetooth connection is very strong. Battery life is fantastic, I've been using it for 10+ hours a day for 3 months and the keyboard still has full charge and the mouse is at around ~75% charge. Amazing and no cables to fiddle around with. The best part is the Mac and Windows keyboard support - I have to use a Mac for work and it's nice that the keyboard has the Apple command and alt listed underneath their Windows equivalents. I love the mouse especially, and the material on the wrist rest is very nice feeling. Not to mention that they actually look quite nice in person, the white bottom layer makes it look a bit snazzier, in my opinion. Overall, highly recommend! I would buy it again!
