I got these for the Gaming PC I recently got. I knew the bass was important for sound, so I was looking around for a speaker set that let me adjust the bass with a dial. My laptop sounds like a theater with my new Logitech surround sound speakers and subwoofer which has a powerful punch on movie trailers as well as music on Spotify and YouTube techno and dubstep music with bass boost or bass drops type of music which I listen to online. I love my Logitech speaker system a lot and it’s the best purchase I’ve ever made and owned.

If I had more visitors over, I would add one more z623 system for up front by the TV and would be 1/2 the price of nearest surround system cost. Speaker placement. I have had subwoofers place up front in the 18' living room and this one I put back next to my recliner. Glad I did because I get way more immediate punchy accurate bass at a lower volume in that location.

First off I would like to say that these are without a doubt the best sounding computer speakers I've ever owned. Once I hooked them up to my PC it took very little time for me to dial in a good sound with the PC's graphic equalizer. They are also capable of putting out very loud audio and if you're listening to something bass heavy with the volume turned up you will probably hear things rattling around you. Having said that these speakers do have a few flaws. Every set of computer speakers I've ever owned at some point start making a static noise when adjusting the volume. It took years for my previous speakers to start doing that. However it only took about six weeks for these to start doing that. And this is more of a nitpick than a flaw, but the notch in the volume knob that lets you know where the volume is set is black just like the speakers which makes it hard to tell how loud you've got the volume set especially if you prefer a darker room like I do. To wrap this up these speakers sound great and will provide plenty of audio without distortion. But with the flaws I pointed out I have to reluctantly dock two stars off the rating. I would be hesitant to recommend these speakers and would just lay out all the pros and cons to someone and let them decide for themselves.

In this product, all the cost goes into sound quality, not wireless connections. * The subwoofer is not pretty to look at. If a pretty subwoofer is important to you, and you don't care as much about sound quality or are wiling to pay 3x or more the $, there are better options. * The wire which connect the right satellite to the subwoofer is relatively thick. If nearly invisible wiring is important to you, and you don't care as much about sound quality or are wiling to pay 3x or more the $, there are better options.

Weirdly, it only affected one speaker at a time, but it happened to both. Luckily it was still under warranty and I contacted Logitech via online chat. After purchase verification (photos of system info and Best Buy receipt) and verification I'd done all their troubleshooting steps, they sent the info on and a few days later a replacement system was approved. I was told I might have to send the original system back, so thankfully I'd kept all of the original packaging. I received a GC last Christmas and sat on it for nearly a year. A couple months back I decided I wanted better speakers for my computer. I DJ and am on the radio every week spinning boom bap or lesser knowing people might refer to as old school hip hop. I go through a lot of music every week is why I mention. There's a significant amount of bass and percussion in the genre, so this particular set of speakers is f*cking great. I'm very satisfied, having gone without for numerous years and a setup change last year. I went from studio monitors to a pair of old Logitec speakers with not much to them. They didn't sound like tin, but were 'weak' in comparison to this Z623 setup. This Logitech system sounds really good. I had bought one a few of years ago that I gave to my nephew when he needed it recently. It works now just as good as new. I bought a new one for a TV I just got, also from Best Buy. For this price you can't go wrong. The subwoofer is way better than most computer speaker systems have. It is good enough for home theater set-ups, which is saying a lot. It gets loud enough to bother people in the next room for sure, it sounds like a subwoofer you buy separately. It also has the red and white (I guess RCA jack) connection. I don't see why there is no optical cable input. Even so the sound is very clear, so I guess it doesn't matter too much. If you want your music or movies to have good sound, don't buy a system for $50 less that doesn't come close to this one. This sub is five times better than what you will get with the cheaper system. It makes a huge difference. If you are wondering, yes, the satellite speakers get loud too.
I just bought this item today and set up the system in my bedroom and plugged it into my laptop. For the last two hours I have relived some great moments courtesy of Youtube. The At At attack from THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, the T-Rex attack from JURASSIC PARK, the helicopter attack scene from APOCALPSE NOW and the opening to STAR WARS to name a few. The subwoofer made the walls shake. I went outside of the house and stood at the wall to my bedroom. I could hear and feel the "BOOM". Hopefully, my neighbor won't complain. This sound system rocks!!!!! Even brought a tear to my eye knowing how much I enjoyed experiencing the big sound of going to the movies for the last 5 decades.
