Failure to Burn

Why don't the offer a zero star ratting, one just feels like to many. I started using these 6 months ago and the worked well. I guess by well I'm mean that they burned slow and failed 10% of the time. Just bout another 5 spindles and now they are all failing all the time. I have tried burning them on several different computers using 5 different brand name burners. I guess it could just be a bad batch but 5 bad spindles? I thought I was going the extra mile springing for SONY branded disks. Guess not. I want my money back

Great affordable discs!
14 June 2011

I was looking for some cheap dual layer discs to transfer footage for a client. These discs by Sony are the perfect solution for their costs! The only complaint is the write speed. I felt the write speed could be a little faster, but for the value, it's a great deal!

Lomography Sprocket Rocket 35mm Film Panoramic Camera
17 January 2023

Haven’t gotten a roll developed yet but watching a few YouTube videos got me ready to go shoot with this baby. The strap holder thing on the bottom fell off my first day out so make sure it is secured properly before attaching a strap, but it came in good shape and I’m excited for the results!

Love this camera!
4 September 2014

I've been shooting with my iphone and my SX-70 and this camera just adds another fun way to capture images. Love the wide angle and the sprocket hole images. My only complaint is that there is no camera strap attachment points. I will have to make some sort of custom strap. Other than that, I love it.

More fun than the average Lomo.
12 March 2012

Having owned and currently use a few Lomo cameras, I found the Sporcket Rocket to be a better build a stronger construction than the average Holga. Body is sturdy. Some of the Lomo cameras look as cheap as they are. This one, while being more money than a Holga, seems to reflect the extra cost. Loads as easy as a normal 35mm as opposed to some of the other Lomo products. You can wind either way and create fun and interesting double exposures. Just make sure you're in the proper frame. You will use half a roll due to it being a Pano. The one thing I discovered when developing is an extra cost for special development so that the sprocket holes are visible. I also had a lomo film loaded that required another extra cost. Its still my favorite new Lomo camera. I do enjoy ... MoreHaving owned and currently use a few Lomo cameras, I found the Sporcket Rocket to be a better build a stronger construction than the average Holga. Body is sturdy. Not a coaster yet . . .
10 August 2010

I've tried a bunch of them - TDK, Memorex, Verbatim, and more. Sony DVD's are still the only ones that I don't end up burning useless coasters (aka bad discs). I've gone through around 200 of them and they've all been keepers for me and no complaints from any customers.

These Rarely Work Correctly
30 November 2011

I have a Panasonic DVD recorder and have had good experience with several other brands of double-layer DVDs, but not these. On first insertion, the machine tries to read for a while but then responds with no read. After many tries the disk may finally seem to work, but then after recording may still refuse to finalize. Tried all 25 disks in the pack over a period of months. In the meantime, other brands still work fine in the same machine.

You can't go wrong with this price.
6 September 2011

You can't go wrong with using sony as your way to copy any data you have especially large consents. it's was sent well their was no cracks and when I use it to copy things I am very pleased with what I got out of them. if you still using 4.7gb single layer disk is the thing of the past now it's time to change to the double layer diskette. thank you again .
