Longchamp Large Le Pliage Shopping Bag L1899089 Marine - OS

I have this bag in the Sakura pattern, which is pale pink with, bafflingly, plum blossom print. The size, shape, and functionality of the bag are perfect. It’s lightweight but keeps its shape nicely. Best of all, it’s roomy enough to stuff your entire family’s down coats in when they complain that they don’t want to carry them (grrr). It’s also the perfect size for folders if you need to bring your work home (grrr). My only disappointment is that the lining of at least the Sakura pattern is not colorfast. I got caught in a thunderstorm once, and the dark red lining had bled onto the pale pink outer layer. I did get a refund when I brought the bag back to the store to ask if there was a way to restore it. They couldn’t replace it because it was a seasonal item.

Big bag no secure pocket

I bought this in navy to match my luggage which has a similar leather trim. My hope was to have a big "personal item" to stash wallet, keys, phone, passport, and other items I want in the cabin of the airplane with me. The size is fine, colors matched well. However, there are no secure pockets inside or outside on the bag. There is one medium open side slash and one very tiny open side slash inside at the very top where the zipper is. Since there is no closure, looks as if things would fall out. I tried to add velcro strips to create closure, but the nylon is so smooth, I could not find a glue that would adhere. Thus I am not sure it is usable. Given the cost, I expected more design effort. I am not sure that I will find it useable.

Classic, versatile, spacious

Can't really go wrong with a Le Pliage - the classic hold all bag. Really sturdy handles and luxurious feel leather. The only drawback as with all large bags is a lack of inner pockets, but I just bought a bag insert and it works perfectly.What I carry on the daily:- phone, keys, wallet- mini makeup kit including full size body sunscreen- 12.9 inch tablet and charger- 22 oz water bottle- hard drive and cables- paper files- spare masks, hand sanitizerAfter about 4 months of DAILY use traveling overseas and using this as a carry-on bag, I can say that it has held up - with the exception of the bottom corners getting slightly worn, but this is the case with any bag. DISAPPOINTED IN SIZE

I purchased the larger version of this tote in another color. Because the price was the same as the larger one, as well as the measurements, I thought they were the same. I don’t understand how they can be the same price and same measurements; BUT this one is smaller…. I can’t return it because I’ve already cut the tag off. I unfolded the brown one, and saw how much I loved it. I thought this light colored one was the same; so I cut the tag off without unfolding it. I didn’t realize until a few days afterwards that it was much smaller than the brown one. Most likely, I’m going to have to give it away because my things will not fit in this tote.

Just pay attention to the bottom corners as they tend to be the first parts to wear under heavy use.Overall, you can’t go wrong with this bag. It fits many occasions and as a daily go-to bag, it’s fashionable enough to fit in almost any situation and the design stands the test of time.

Great light weight Tote

I have the zippered expanding in navy , I have the original large with two pockets in black and tan , and i have the club size in deep ruby red, dodger blue and beige. I usually buy these at the Anniversary sale . They are easy to clean with a soft cloth and basic soap and water , i don’t immerse the handle. My large beige had frayed corners. The warranty is lifetime .Go to their website and find the warranty page. You fill out a form , they will email you a RA Number and you are responsible for shipping. my bag came back with clean corners but an inch shorter so they don’t put your old handle on a new bag, the simply cut and resew the bottom . For $30 round trip not a bad deal for a lifetime of use .

Gunmetal color is stunning

The Large Le Pliage Tote is very roomy and the gunmetal color is stunning. It’s a beautiful mix of gray and blue that I feel will be appropriate in any season. The tote itself is quite roomy and holds all of my daily essentials and I’m a Mary Poppins type of girl. The Large Le Pliage Tote is made of a lightweight material so even when it’s stuffed it still doesn’t feel heavy. There is a large slip pocket on the back wall of the tote which I use to keep my phone in and store antibacterial wipes and extra masks (just incase a facility is still requiring them). The small slip pocket on the front wall is a perfect place for my keys. No more digging around when I need them. The rest of the bag is one large open space lined in the same color. The handles are a little stiff at first but do soften and they do not dig into your shoulders. You can keep the tote on your shoulder with one strap while you grab your wallet at checkout with the tote open and the other strap off your shoulder. The only con is the leather flap does get in the way of the zipper at first but once you use the bag frequently, you’ll get a “system” and it won’t be as noticeable. The tabs on either side of the tote are handy for zipping and unzipping.Side note—I ordered the Large Le Pliage Tote in gunmetal about a month ago but my order ended up getting cancelled due to unavailability. I was told by customer service that I could place another order and they’d credit my account for the discount code I had used with that order. True to their word once the second order shipped, I was issued a credit. Nordstrom and Nordstromrack have excellent customer service.

Longchamp Le Pliage Original Shoulder Bag

It does have a lovely colour - I bought the beige one. It is beautifully light and a pleasure to carry as a result. I have returned it. Why? For me it is too flimsy and won't hold its shape. I see no point of it being foldable because although it looks like another bag it is not a bag that can carry anything. so pointless. When I put a bag down I want it to hold its shape - not sag in the middle because the beautiful shape as pictured is not evident at all when 1) you carry it or 2) you put it down. The attractive brown flap is a bit of a nuisance when you want to open the bag because you need to keep unflapping it and THEN unzip it. Overrated bag

This was my second Longchamp tote bag. Both had tiny holes on the bottoms of the bag where stitches end after I used it only 1-2 months. Nordstrom replaced the first one but the replacement one started having tiny holes at the end of bottom stitches in 6 months too. I also purchased one as a Xmas gift for a good friend. She said she had the same issue too. When I contacted Longchamp via email they said it was due to wear and tear and they did not warranty this. A good brand and expensive bag should not be worn like this in such a short period of time. I have similar style LaCoste brand tote bag. After 3 years it still looks like brand name without any sign of wear and tear. LaCoste totes are 100 times better than LongChamp totes. I will never purchase LongChamp brand

Pleasantly Surprised!

This is not quite like the other Le Pilage Longchamp totes. It is a beautiful shade of red inside and out. After receiving the bag and wondering about the differences I found that it is a discontinued model. It would have helped if Nordstrom Rack provided a better description and more pictures. On another sellers site I learned it is called the "Le Pliage Neo." The zipper is wide toothed and this model is not designed to fold up as much as the other Le Pilage bags, but it will fold flat for storage. For me it was the smaller size that I wanted, not as large as the current medium size bags. What I would love is another bag closer in size to the current Le Pilage handbags that are priced at $125 retail, but with the longer handles to be worn on the shoulder.
