This is a great idea of a product which ive used others of before. However if you have stubborn hair like me the lightener isnt if enough quantity. Eneded up with missed oarts at the back. Originally thought the colour was a one step solution but quite time consuming having to lighten, then rinse towel dry, condition colour and dry again. I found as well even though my hair is mostly platinum that the purple wasnt vibrant as per the packaging more a pastel.Would i use again?? Possibly but it would be using 2 packs and having much drier hair for the colour element. Also if youre already bright blonde only the colour condition is required not the lightner

I was looking forward to seeing how this colour turned out, according to the box it was meant to be visible on a dark base & the picture on the website gave the impression it would be quite drastic....unfortunately that wasn't true. At best it's a very subtle sheen in bright light, otherwise it doesn't look any different to what it was before dying so bleaching will definitely be recommended if your base colour is dark. The dye itself had plenty in the tube for hair around shoulder length, and hardly had a smell to it which is always welcomed. Easy to wash out and leaves hair feeling soft. Overall a bit disappointed with this one due to not being clear on how vivid it would be without the bleach (according to the promotional pictures)

I was excited to recieve this Hairdye and go for a bold change. I was told never to bleach my hair as it would ruin it. Thankfully this formula L’Oréal has created, made my hair incredibly conditioned, glossy and soft. Upon reading the leaflet, I would need an extra box for my length of hair. So I purchased a box on top of the one L’Oréal sent me to review. This meant I had double of everything which was perfect. The gloves didn’t fit correctly as ripped which isn’t ideal when using bleach! I was thrilled to make a noticeable change to my hair. Then I applied the colour which contains conditioner which is a new combination for a hair dye kit at home. It smelled amazing and fruity. I left it on slightly longer (ten minutes longer) and then washed off. I was baffled by only the slightest change. I was sad as I was excited to make a big change and be bold. The extra box I ordered made sure I had double of everything. Sadly not enough change. My hair does feel beautiful and soft and looks glossy! Perhaps this may be better for people with short hair?

[Rewarded Review] Fantastic product
8 November 2023

This is a brilliant idea - bleach and colour in one box. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The colour didn’t stain everything it touched which was really good. The box says it’s not adapted for grey hair however I found it covered my grey roots with no problem. The final colour on my hair is just like the picture on the box and has an amazing shine, it does look metallic and my hair feels really soft. If you have long hair you would need 2 packs to cover it properly. My only criticism is if you’re buying 2 boxes a time you’re going to end up with extra bleach that you don’t need. Otherwise this is fantastic and I highly recommend it if you’re looking for an easy to use bright pink that doesn’t leave your bathroom and pillows pink.

Fantastic product that comes with everything you need to have a beautiful bright colour on your hair. I decided to do some pink streaks through my dark hair instead of going all over pink. The instructions were easy to follow and I first lightened the hair using the included bleach and then applied the pink, I couldn't believe how pink and bright the streaks were, its definitely made my hair look more fun! After seeing how good and easy it was my teenager daughter and sister want to try it now. I would definitely recommend this product especially if your looking for colour that stands out!

I am a natural brunette and have a 'life's too short for boring hair' attitude so have been using bright, vivid direct dyes for years! I always find it such a hassle to make sure I have a bleach supply and colour ready to go, but thanks to these new Preference Meta Vivids, that's no longer an issue as both items are supplied 🙌🏻 The process couldn't be more simple, even for a total novice, as full instructions are included. I appreciate the precision of the bleach applicator which allows you to have full control over the look you wanna achieve. If you don't want to do a full head, don't, it's no biggy - just apply some contrasting streaks which, when brightly coloured, will look just awesome! If you wanna skip the bleaching, nay bother my friends, the conditioning ... MoreI am a natural brunette and have a 'life's too short for boring hair' attitude so have been using bright, vivid direct dyes for years! If you wanna skip the bleaching, nay bother my friends, the conditioning direct dye can still be used to give a decent colour, although not as vivid as it would be applied on to a lighter base. To maintain your new vivid colour, it's best to wash your hair in very cool water and extend the time between washes by using a Elvive Dream Lengths Air Volume Dry Shampoo.Overall, I absolutely love the convenience and colour payoff of these Preference Meta Vivids and really hope L'Oréal will extend the shade range as I can totally see me replacing my existing system with this product.

[Rewarded Review] Perfect for autumn
6 November 2023

I wanted to add a bit of brightness to my hair for autumn and thought this Coral shade seemed very fitting for the season so gave it a go. I didn't initially realise that the kit includes not only the semi-permanent coral shade but also a permanent bleach powder to give the lift needed to get the really vivid coral colour. I wasn't keen to bleach my hair as a semi colour was what I really wanted, so I skipped the bleaching part of the process. The colour was easy to apply and smelled fine, no stinging or staining of my skin. I left it on for the full 30mins recommended for maximum vibrancy. The conditioning treatment that you usually get with Preference dye wasn't part of this kit, which was a shame as they always smell beautiful and leave my hair feeling incredibly ... MoreI wanted to add a bit of brightness to my hair for autumn and thought this Coral shade seemed very fitting for the season so gave it a go. When I'd rinsed and dried I did find my hair was quite soft and very shiny, and I loved the colour. It wasn't as vibrant as the picture but that's because I didn't do the bleach, and I was still very pleased with the results. My natural hair colour is light brown and after one wash the colour is still holding well.

Review based on black (not had any colour for a few years) hair:PROS:-• The bleach worked well, left on a bit longer than instructed as I have dark hair. It definitely lightened my hair to a light/medium brown. I only bleached the bottom half of my hair, which is thick, as I was going for a dip dye/ombre sort of look.• Very easy to apply, non drip mixture, both the bleach and dye.• Easy to mix together.• Left my hair smelling amazing.CONS:-• The purple did not take at all post-bleaching, I left it on for much longer than instructed as I couldn't see it making any difference after I'd applied it on. It darkened the brown slightly, and I think I can see a slight pink tinge?VERDICT:• I love the black to brown ombre look it's given me but that's not what this ... MoreReview based on black (not had any colour for a few years) hair:PROS:-• The bleach worked well, left on a bit longer than instructed as I have dark hair. I think the colour would work best for blonde hair. I've used many purple hair dyes before (from boxed to vegan) and even on brown/ginger bleached hair it showed - maybe this purple formula wasn't strong enough.

[Rewarded Review] Vibrant vivid colour
6 November 2023

This takes a bit longer than using a normal hair dye as there are two stages to the process. First you need to lighten your hair then you can apply the conditioning colour. I found this all quite easy to do and it is worth taking the time as the colour is amazing. It is super bright and vivid and I have had lots of comments about how fab it is. The colour or bleach do not drip and my hair was left feeling conditioned and manageable even though part of the colouring process is bleaching. This is semi permanent but I have not noticed it fading yet (after 2 washes). I will use this again.

disappointing product
3 September 2024

The bleach works well and effectively, but the Purple after doesn't work. it came out patchy and turned my daughter's hair a light ashy brown colour also the purple temporay colour just looked like purple shampoo and i guess all it did was colour correct the yellowy orange blonde to the brown colour rather then deposting purple pigment in to the hair. i don't recommend this product. If you want to add a temporary dye over bleached hair the Schwarzkopf live colours are way better and also far more conditioning. for a more intense colour I recommend apply on dry hair. Hope this helps good luck.
