$15.70

(98 reviews)

Every eligible bachelor in Tempest, young and not-so-young alike, vies for the princess's affections. Tragically, she has secluded herself within the palace walls, forcing suitors to depend on intermediaries to deliver their declarations of love. Will your letter be the first to capture her heart? Love Letter is a captivating game of strategy, deduction, and fortune designed for 2–4 players. Your objective is to ensure your love letter reaches Princess Annette, outmaneuvering rival suitors vying for her attention. With a lean deck of just sixteen cards, each player begins with a single card; additionally, one card is set aside, out of play. Each turn, players draw one card and play one, aiming to unveil their opponents' strategies and eliminate them from the game. Strong cards might offer immediate advantages but can also make you a prime target. Conversely, overreliance on weaker cards could result in your letter being discarded.

I love breaking out Love Letter because it takes minutes to learn but has so much depth. This little pouch will fit in your pocket and is perfect for taking to a pub or dinner party. The game is suspenseful but always ends with a lot of laughs once a round ends. It has quite a bit of luck, so don't play with those who can't handle being dealt a bad hand. Amazing little card game!

Love Letter isn't the most complex or even well-designed game, but it is a ton of fun in between games or at a party or for just taking on a trip. With the whole game fitting in a bag (and having much better win tokens and an extra character, the spy) the game is much enhanced, making it easy to transport and more fun to play! Just be careful about storing the bag as it doesn't offer much protection.

Fast delivery, great condition, really fun game!
29 April 2021

I ordered this game after playing it at my friend's house one time. It's so underrated and unexpectedly fun! The cards and tokens are really high quality, and it's one of those games you don't really have to teach, because the instructions are pretty much written on the cards. A two-person game can take as little as 15 minutes if you play fast, so it's a great way to unwind at the end of the night.

Fun for 2 or groups!
15 December 2021

This game is small and travel friendly and oh so fun! Perfect for just two players or a big group (which is hard to find in a game). I love the detective-feel aspect of it. Such an unexpected twist on a game that uses cards…but unlike any game I’ve ever played. Simple enough once you get past the rules (hint: there are cheat sheet cards and it also tells you on the card itself what the rules are for that card). You won’t be disappointed!

Gorgeous Quality
21 November 2021

The new, revised edition makes this game more fun and interesting. The cards have a wonderful, silky feel to them and seem to be more hard-wearing than the usual card. The illustrations are beautiful. The gameplay is quick to get into and the reference cards that each player keeps on them (with a broken seal printed on the back) makes it even easier to play. I love the velvet pouch that it comes with to store everything into - the perfect finishing touch.

Love Letter (New Edition, Bag)
22 August 2022

This is a quick game that is very easy to learn. Simply draw a card and play a card! There's a bit more with the individual card effects, but the rules are very clear. This is a surprisingly deep game for only having about 20 cards. The cards in my copy have got some wear on them from playing so much. We eventually sleeved it because knowing what card another player has in their hand could ruin the whole game. The sleeved cards could fit in the bag, but not very comfortably. I eventually put the game in a standard deckbox. Everyone should own this game!

Amazing game. Equally fun and skillful. The quality of the cards and tokens in this version make it especially enjoyable to play. Rules are written well enough but it's worth reading them a few times to make sure you know them inside out because the game can easily be broke by an erroneous action. One of the best value for money games out there.Just hope you don't end up with Double Barrons!

Love this game!
1 January 2021

Everything fits in the pouch so you can take it anywhere. It’s pretty simple but I recommend watching a youtube video on how to play to get a better idea. The instructions are slightly vague compared to other versions of the game so if you discover something that is unclear in the instructions you can google it and instructions from other versions will help! There’s also two ways to play: the classic version and the new version. Only difference is a couple of cards get taken out for the classic. Great addition to any game night collection!

Simple, quick, and fun
23 September 2022

I'm late to the game on Love Letter, but I wanted something that was easy to travel with and quick to play. This is another game that feels a little complicated when you first try to read the rules but it's utterly simple, you'll pick it up really quickly and it's easy to teach to new people. The rounds go fast, and it's adaptable for different sized groups which is always a big plus.
