I am the training sergeant and SRT Commander for a sheriff office in Ohio. I also instruct in a police academy, so I spend a lot of time on my feet, running and climbing over various types of terrain and obstacles. I have two pairs of these boots, a Gore-Tex pair and a non Gore-Tex pair for summer. I have worn many other brands, Soloman, Asolo, Merrell and Danner to name a few. All of those are good boots but none of them are as comfortable for full days on the range or trudging through rugged terrain like these. These boots are worth the premium price. My Gore-Tex pair I have had now for about three years and they are still as comfortable as the day I got them. They require no break in period, they are just incredible boots period. This is the third pair of Lowa boots and i love them. The breakin for me is longer because of my broken toes but once broke in i can wear them all day without any problem. 5 star for delivery
