Had some problems with the unit and I called Lowrance, and they could not help me out. Well I bought everything at Russell Marine Products so I called and Brett helped me out with 3 screens and just like that it was working. I just cannot say enough about this Company. The sell and then help you out with all questions. So if you are thinking about buying electronics just call these guys and they will take care of you. Rodney Spencer

Its not plug and play. Software upgrades to the HDS need to be correct. The HDS would not see the AT2. Had to do a defaults reset then it found the AT2 transducer. Seems to work fine now, but I havent had it on open water yet. Just used it for ice fishing. I think the livescope is better.

I need a lot more time with this transducer but could easily see my lure out to 40 feet. And 2 to 3 lb carp were seen easily out to 40 as well. Water was gin clear as I got closer I could see they were carp instead of bass reason they did not pay attention to my jig

I have been purchasing from Russell Marine Products for the past few years. Here recently I purchased the New Lowrance Active Target 2 which I knew was going to be a quick sellout. RMP made it easy to purchase and fast shipping.
Great purchase! Can't wait to use it. Having a few problems hooking up the live target, ghost trolling motor, and the Lowrance HDS 12 though.
I’ve been through two active target, two units and neither work properly. I am now uninstalling them and putting active target one back on.
Followed install directions and unit did not work correct. Did sonar reset and still didn’t work. Soft reset didn’t work correctly did hard reset with same result updated live 9 graph still not displaying correct. Unit shows same screen no matter what mode it is In.Did I get a bad unit?
Vastly improved imaging over Active Target 1. Less stitching and higher quality views, with much better resolution further out. Able to see more detail in smaller images such as bait balls and also tracking of lures
After a week on the water with AT2, it's not worth the money to "upgrade" from Active Target to Active Target 2. I expected a noticeable difference between 1 and 2...there is NOT! This appears to be Lowrance's way of extracting more money out of gullible fishermen. I should have stuck with what I had and saved the money.
Works Great, definitely better target separation along with a much clearer picture to 100' from the details I'm seeing.DShull
