I use this product to help my Airedale Terriers eyes. He has an eye condition where he also needs ointment as well as Lubrithal to lubricate his eyes. This was recommended by the local vet, but it is so expensive to buy it from them. As I already buy other products from Animed, it makes sense to buy this as well, also at a much cheaper cost. I also have this on a scheduled order, so I don't have to keep ordering it every month.

With Lubrithal I find it helps the little girl with her dry eye. I wipe the eyes first with a special soft 'eye wipe' that removes any crusting overnight. Then I very gently lift the top eye lid and lower it over the gel on the eye itself. I do this 3 times a day. She's worth it. Eyes so precious. I incorporate eye drops at the start of the day to sort of flush them clean.

This is a good product if you are only treating basic dry eyes. However, there is a human eye gel on the market with exactly the same ingredients for less than half the price. Another example of charging more for products for animals, so not good value for money.
This is amazing product better! My baby got conjunctivitis and the vets gave antibiotics which cleared his eyes . As soon as the treatment course was over and a week latter his eyes started showing symptoms for conjunctivitis. After so much research I thought I will try lubrithal which is amazing as after a week his eyes were clear. I would buy again
This is the cheapest I have seen this and I need to use this long term with my puppies as they have had both their eyes done at the vets so need the extra lubrication for third eyes. Easy to use as it just drops into their eyes, quick and simple to use.

One of our 14 year old cats has a dry eye condition meaning her eyes get irritated for them being dry. Around the edge of her eye is red and she clearly is irritated because she tries to rub her eyes. She gets a small discharge from the eye. Our vet gave her some maxitrol eye drops. These maxitrol drops certainly solved the problem, but you can only use them for a limited time and the drug is quite strong. The vet also suggested trying some normal drops for her eyes and so we tried this product. It's quite easy to apply and comes out as a soft gel. After a few days both her eyes are back to normal. So these drops are good for that. I found I need to apply a tiny drop to each eye each day. They can be used for 1 month from opening before the tube expires. I'm not ... I used this product after reading all the raving reviews on how good it was. My dog is a cross between a Lhasa and a pug. He has pug eyes. I used eye drops from the vet, which improved the gunk in his eyes, but it is expensive. I bought this as an alternative and it made the issue significantly worse.
