i chose this interface because it claimed it came with pro tools m-audio addition. upon downloading the software suite,it informs you that it has been discontinued. i like pro tools %26 really didn't want to change to a completely different daw. to me that was the main selling point to the M Track. sending it back if they let me.

Does not connect to iOS devices. This wasn't mentioned at all in the product description or the manual when product arrived. I found out from Sweetwater of all places-which recommends three options:1. Use an Apple USB Power Adapter: I can plug it into the wall and use the M-TRACK's direct audio outs into an actual interface or through my headphones?2. A USB "Breakout" cable, which looks like it will involve some soldering.3. An official Apple Camera Connection Kit: So I can plug it into my phone, but not my iMac, for another $39 + shipping. Not only does it not connect to my Mac at all, it's encased on lightweight cheap plastic made to look like brushed metal-so feeling a little like I've been lied to twice now. Might work fine on a PC. I wouldn't know.

Product came as described. Good interface for the price. Connection is easy. Installed the drivers available through the website, but the control panel to set the sample and buffer does not work in Windows 11 but works in Windows 10 so I have to use ASIO4ALL to make those changes which is what I did not want to do in the first place.

My use case is pretty basic, and so far the interface is doing a fine job of meeting it. The orientation of controls and ports is a little awkward, since cables need to go in both the front and the back, making it sit clumsily and get in the way. But this is a minor drawback if you have the space. As far as the audio quality I have no complaints. I'm sure other more expensive models will do a more studio quality job but this is quite good as it is.
Like the Behringer UM2, the M-Track Solo 2 is a great entry level audio interface. Is it professional quality, no, but neither is the price. Is it a great cheap way to dabble and begin learning the world of audio interfaces and creation, yes. There's plenty of in-depth reviews for these interfaces, please go learn the pros and cons of each. But for a beginner who doesn't want to invest a lot of cash for something they are unsure of or someone who doesn't have a lot of cash, this is a great option. Go into it knowing that is very capable but still budget quality and your will be quite pleased. Of course if your needs are more demanding, you may want to save up, but this is overall a solid interface, especially for the price.4 stars overall but 5 stars as a ... MoreLike the Behringer UM2, the M-Track Solo 2 is a great entry level audio interface. So I just fly in town to run my first Live Stream over YouTube for of all things a funeral. Talk about high stress. My first top is to B&H as a former New Yorker I know where to go for things. I've got all the video gear but, lacking in the audio department....Enter the Tech from Heaven. Tall African American gentlemen informed me of this piece of equipment that would complement my Sennheiser mics. It worked like a charm. This made my first Live Stream experience perfectly. I so appreciate the product but more-so the tech that assisted me (courteous, knowledgeable and listened well). Can't wait to visit you all again.Joseph Howard
Pros: Cracking bit of kit. Does everything that other pricier interfaces boast, and some. Had problems with top of the range products I previously bought (and sent back), namely mono-only through headphones, but no such issues with the M-Track Duo. Plug-and-play in its purest sense.Cons: A bit OTT with the multitude of free software, but that's a personal thing - I'm sure most people would be over-joyed with it.
This unit is very inexpensive but its way overpriced. First of all, the first one I received worked for 5 minutes before the audio lights both came on red(overload). Mind you no mikes were plugged in, and a loud buzz in the headphones. I sent it back for a replacement and received one. It worked for about 30 minutes before it did the same thing but even when it worked it was poor, leakage between in and out, turning the input up too far,it goes into oscillation with or without a mike plugged in. Its really a piece of crap. I bought a different brand and it has been working fine. Don't waste money, its NO GOOD.
This dude named John gave it a 1 star rating because it doesn't work with iOS devices, and mentioned it doesn't say anything about an iOS device being compatible with it. First of all if it does not mention it then it obviously won't work. Second, OF COURSE IT WON'T WORK, it literally says "M Audio Solo for PC/MAC" meaning it only works on pc's. This guy can't read for crap. Small Edit: He also said it won't work on Mac. Maybe this guy has one of the newer Macbooks without a usb port...of course it won't work without one.Anyway off my rant, This thing is great, plays amazing. I use it on my Mac Mini Late 2012. So I'm not too sure about on windows, but for mac, it's a solid 10/10
Overall I am quite impressed with this interface for the low price tag. It works as advertised, and I have tried a Shure SM58 in the XLR input and a bass guitar into the line input with the "guitar switch" on. The sound after recording and playing back in good headphones is quite good. The only weird thing is that the USB audio level seems a bit low relative to the green/red normal/peak lights on the interface. This is fine for recording since it's easy to bump it up later but could be a problem for live use. The gain control on the unit is a little touchy right at the "sweet spot" but once it's set it works great. As I type I can see the green light flickering to the sound of my clackety keyboard :)For $50 you definitely can't go wrong with this unit.
