A brush with absolutely maximum potential. Probably this applies to brushes that shares the similar characteristics. This brush is very stiff and is cut in bullet shape. The way I use this brush follows : small point contour brush, lip liner brush, eyebrow brush and eyeliner brush. When I want to add some extra definition, I grab this one and apply small amount of darker contour shade and blend it. The way it‘s cut prevents harsh line, at the same time, its stiffness sort of buffs the makeup just enough. Please note that this product is not really optimised for piling up a product… Then also it‘s even better for achieving more natural lip line. Also if I want to darken or intensify colours on inner side of my lips, I use this brush. Classic lip liners usually are good for clear cut line, while I want a rather water colour like blending. My most common use would be as eyeliner brush. I grab some dark colour and just follow my eyelash line. My eyelids gonna hide all, for sure 😂 but the brush‘s size is so perfect for this very purpose for my eye. Also this is perfectly sized for filling right under my lower lashes. In addition, I gently fill my eyebrows using this brush as well. With my contour shades and this brush, I can give slightly more definition and could accurately see, where I need to draw several more eyebrows, using typical eyebrow brush. Honestly, I would love to buy several more of the exactly same brush, but it‘s gonna take some time 😬 Until then, I will be washing my brushes whenever I think it‘s needed.

I love Mac's brushes ever since 2014 when I purchased my first every eyeshadow brushes (the 224 tapered blending and 217 blending brushes) after getting my Matric ball make-up done instore. The only issue with these brushes is the price point, although, it is definitely an investment. I've had those brushes since 2014 and they are still in perfect condition. And I still use them today. The 212 Synthetic Flat Definer Brush is perfect for packing on and smoking out eyeshadows on the lower lash line. This brush is very precise and picks up pigment very well. It is also very easy to clean, I find that synthetic fibre brushes are easier to clean because there is not much fall out. I also use this to for price precision of shadows to my lash liner and smoke it out. ... This product works well for me! It’s nice to have a cleaner specifically for removing makeup from brushes aside from a regular makeup wipe or something, which will leave some oil on the brushes, or doing a full wash which will leave the brushes wet for a while. For anybody who doesn’t know, brush cleaner like this is basically for a quick cleanse rather than a full clean, so it’s good for when you want to use the same brush but switch colors or if you just don’t have time to fully clean them. Every now and then you want to use a gentle no-frills dish soap with warm water to thoroughly wash them. Taking care of your brushes will make them last a very long time!

I say 2 for the Win because it not only removes Eye-makeup really well. It removes waterproof mascara, waterproof eyeliner's (like NYX,KVD&Stila) that are hard to come off, as well as your regular every day eyeliners and mascaras, without leaving a trace. Also, works really well at removing hard-core lip liners and hard-core liquid lipsticks that leave a stain on your lips. Even theatrical makeup without making the skin burn or giving an allergic reaction. This takes it all off and does not leave a trace behind. Although some may say the lid makes it difficult to open, I don't find it to be the case. Maybe there's different factors. I can see why MAC would want to protect the consumer by having a good closing the lid. No one would want to spill something like that because it would totally leave some kind of oil stain on clothes, bedding or what not. Ps: this doesn't break you out either. This is why this product is far superior than other removers
As a makeup artist, I bought this as I needed a new instant brush cleaner. I've had my fair share of trying cleaners in the past and most of them have a strong alcohol scent. Then I saw Mecca sold the M.A.C brush cleaner. From reading the reviews left on Mecca, everyone raved about how good it was. I was sold immediately. I made a purchase, received the order in two days and used it on some brushes that needed a quick clean. Orderless, quick, effective and easy is what I would use to describe how this product is. YOU NEED THIS
Took me a good half an hour of dipping, brushing, mushing, rinsing and repeating before I finally figured out the optimal way to use this cleaner, and that was even after watching a YouTube explainer.I found it wasn’t an easy latherer and with some brushes was difficult to rinse and took like a dozen rinses and dries before it was fully absolved of its soapiness. What mainly worked for me was dipping a brush in water first, dabbing on a towel then dipping into a bowl of the brush cleaner, then wildly brushing back and forth on a towel in a soaked spot of cleaner. Then dipping in water, scrubbing it again on the towel then giving a proper rinse and dry on microfibre.Took me about an hour and a half to wash 50 brushes in various sizes.
I have so many brushes. But saw 140 on sale, (limited edition Stranger things) and decided to purchase this fan brush. It's full fluffy soft and sturdy. Good brush for contour and bronzer application. Large for highlight but works. I prefer a smaller brush for highlighting cheekbones. Depends on how much highlighting you like, really. And where you highlight. Additionally, good for applying setting powder sweeping all over face. Can use the side of the brush as well to apply setting powder under eyes. I choose to just sweep lightly under eyes to set. What I like mostly is using this fan brush to apply blush. Applies blush so smoothly and I get an even application! Can get a flush of color or build it up. I've been using it to apply the new Benefit box blushes. I've ... MoreI have so many brushes. I've been using it to apply the new Benefit box blushes. I've tried several brushes to apply these blushes and I could not get an even application. Not getting that effortless blend. This brush does it! And I can build it getting that punch of color. Still expensive on sale. Multitasking quality brush.
I have been using this product for almost 10 years; it removes a wide range of products and dries within minutes. This product is perfect for extending the life of your brushes between deep cleans (personal preference/not necessary), or as an instant cleanser when you need to use the same brush for different products within the same application. The most effective way to use this product is by putting a small amount on a washcloth, gently massage the used brush into the cleanser until it appears clear, then model the brush back to its natural shape and let dry. No water required. Highly recommend!
I have owned 3 of this 263 brush and LOVED the first one. I only bought a second because the paint chipped off the handle; the brush itself still worked great. The second and third brushes are made poorly and were terrible from day one: they both have this infuriating ridge that makes it impossible to get a nice, straight line with my powder liner. I need to build it up and repair the line, then use my shadow brush to add more of my other shadow to blend it. A time-consuming mess and the result is not great. I keep coming back to it, trying to dry it differently, to flatten it, trying to get that beautiful line I could get so effortlessly from the first one I owned. I have contacted customer service twice to see if they could advise or help me. The last time, they basically just recommended I buy my third brush (no help, no discount and the third is trash, too) and this week they told me essentially "MAC brushes don't last forever." I understand that, but the 2nd two brushes were made cheaply and were trash from the first day I used them. I even considered trying a fourth time, but after reading these reviews I'm so bummed because I may need to buy 10 or 20 more brushes to find that holy grail.
I am thrilled to see MAC at Ulta, so it pained me to return this. It's extremely expensive for what you get, which is a shame. Glossier's Milky Oil makeup remover is the same size, much easier to open the bottle, same type of product, for significantly less money. I also have La Roche-Posay Micellar Cleansing Water for Sensitive Skin, which comes in a huge bottle for significantly less money as well. MAC used to have very reasonable prices. I remember mascara that came in a ziplock pouch and was like $9 or $12 max. Now a travel size of their mascara costs more than a full size used to cost. I wish they still had those extremely high performance products at those better prices.
