Mac in Extreme Dimension Waterproof Lash Mascara, Black

I LOVE MAC mascaras. Right back to the early days of Plush Lash (which I will never stop grieving…). I loved the longer plastic bristle wand as it catches every lash in one pass. Just be sure to work quickly as it does try fast! If you don’t reapply your second coat right away, you could in in danger of clumping. I love the slightly rounded tip of the wand as it allows me to get into each lash and ensure everything is separated and lush. I love that in true MAC fashion, it doesn’t smudge, flake or smear throughout the day!

I am so disappointed in this Mac mascara. It makes my lashes very wiry. I don't see any fullness at all! I am not sure if it's the brush because the bristles are so far apart or what. I don't remember it being this way. I'm going to use it because I don't have any other mascara but I couldn't say that I would be excited about purchasing it again. I don't know what's happened to mascara. I can't seem to find a mascara that makes my lashes thick and long. This mascara never used to be like this. I don't know what happened to it. I ordered it from Ulta.

100% waterproof, nice brush, dispenses too much

I would give 5 stars if it didn’t dispense so much product each time. It truly is waterproof. Even oily lids/ hooded lids through a hard day of work won’t result in black undereyes/ lids. I have tried Buxom, Benefit, and many others. If they made the top tighter so that you got a small amount of product it would be perfect. I have to wipe off most of it before applying.

Better than expected

Ordered this souly based on the brush shape, couldn’t be happier. The formula isn’t too dry nor too wet, the perfect combo in my opinion. It provided more length than volume, but a 2nd coat gave the right amount of volume without clumping. It doesn’t take too long to dry between coats. The brush made it easy to apply to inner & outer corners as well as lower lashes. This was better than I had expected. Didn’t flake or smear while wearing 6+ hours, and is 100% water proof, ended up having to use an oil cleaner to remove. 10/10 will buy again.

Clumpy Panda

The brush needs longer, firmer bristles. Too much product is on the brush when you pull it out so you have to really clean it off to avoid clumpy application. It did result in longer lashes but application was inconsistent because of the need to clean so much product off the brush before using. I have naturally long lashes and while the formula is supposedly waterproof, I still ended up with darkened under eyes from my lower lashes and from my upper lid lashes when looking down. I wasn’t allergic to the formula, so that earned the product one star. Another star awarded for longer looking lashes, but stars deducted for difficult application.

FANTASTIC Waterproof Mascara

I have used Macs Haute & Naughty waterproof mascara for many years and then poof Mac decideds not to offer it anymore. I have leaky eyes and finding a new mascara that does not spudge or run has taken me a while until I bought MAC in Extreme Dimension Waterproof Mascara. It gos on smoothly, zero clumps and stays on your eyelashes not running down your face. The brush is very unique and goes on beautifully lasting until I take it off. Speaking of taking it off, it easily comes off with makeup remover, very simple.I highly recommend this product.

Horrible

I am a mascara junkie, and I love trying different mascaras in hopes of finding "the one" (I have straight lashes that are average length). This was the first MAC mascara I have tried, and I honestly think this may be the worst. Even though this is waterproof, it did not hold a curl at all. There wasn't any length or volume added either. My lashes just looked "bad" after putting it on - they looked like spider legs and they were bunched together. I did give it a couple of chances, but my lashes sucked after each use. I will not use again. I can't even return it because I wasted my reward points on it. Err!

Also, less is more, and the waterproof version is better than the regular one.I use oil/oil based products to remove this bad gal because water and soap won't do. I have long lashes but they have no curl. So I wear this when I want dramatic lashes without having to put on false eyelashes(i.e. lazy/always running late woman approved) I get so many compliments when I wear it. I get asked what lashes am I wearing or who does my lash extensions.There is a learning curve when applying it if you're used to applying multiple layers of mascara. If you learn to play with the wand you can get a little less dramatic look, but it won't be subtle. If I let them dry in between application it looks bad, feels weird, and might flake. Once the mascara is dry it's set! Don't try to curl your lashes or re-apply makeup like eyeliner afterwards. This is drag queen worthy, set it and forget it, waterproof-waterproof makeup.I don't wear this on my no make-makeup days(which is almost every day). I wear this on my dress up days, long-day-into-long-night days, dramatic look days, weekends, date nights, bar nights, fight nights, club nights,and nights I want to catfish with no filter.I consider it to be similar to Better than Sex By Too Faced, but that mascara irritates my eyes, it flakes, and I hate Too Faced brand for no real particular reason. The only con is that Mac is not a cruelty free brand. If it were I'd buy this mascara by the case! I love it so much! I'm still looking for the perfect cruelty free equivalent to this. Until I do, this remains my true favorite even though it toils with my loose morals.

Only dependable one for me

I have blonde eyelashes, so if I go to the beach or swimming and my mascara comes off, I look absolutely ridiculous and scary. Enter In Extreme Dimension. It is literally the best I have found for staying power. And as many have found, that can also be a con- how the heck do I get this stuff off? A little secret- coconut oil. Keep a small container in your shower. Put a little on your eyes first thing, and wash up. After you have done your routine, massage the oil, and wash your face. I have no problem with the mascara coming off using this method. If there is any residual, I use Neutrogena oil free make up remover. So if you are hesitant about this fabulous mascara because of its staying power, worry no more. The Best Mascara On The Market!!

I have used every mascara out there from bottom of the range to top of the range and I always return back to this one - it is my absolute fave. I know some people complain that it gives you panda eyes and flakes onto your face during the day, and although I've not experienced panda eyes I have had flaking onto my face. I realised that this only happened when I put too much on. To curb this I use a mid-range eyelash primer first which extends and thickens my lashes. It also allows the mascara to adhere to my lashes and stay put. With the primer I only need to use one coat of this mascara to get great length, volume and curl. Some mascaras that I've used have been like trying to remove glue from my lashes, which has damaged them and caused lash loss. This however glides off with ease causing minimal damage and no lash loss. I've been wearing mascara for 30 years and this one is definitely worth 5 stars - love, love love.
