Mac Macstack Mascara (Mini) 8ml

Thank you to #Sephora #Influenster and #MAC for this Mascara to review - I was excited to try it (am currently using MAC False Lashes Extreme Black which I love for a dramatic look! and doesn’t clump, which is a personal pet peeve). I had high hopes for this stackable and I would say it’s a mid level mascara for performance. It’s a clean application and felt like it gave me a good medium look for day (not so light I would use it for a day “no makeup” makeup look) but definitely helped highlight and frame my eyes well! I would definitely “stack” for a more dramatic/intense evening look. I have longer lashes so tend to go for mascaras that will add more volume - I did appreciate both those elements from this. I’m not sure about the “stackable” element though… I did notice some dried fallout from it on my face (but maybe that was just me). The applicator shape was unique and innovative (as you can see in the pic) One coat worked for me and confess had a bit of a hard time when I tried to apply a second layer/coat. The packaging is cute! I quite liked that :) The price point is also great with the mini for $20CAD so you can try it without committing to the full size. Overall its a solid product and I would tell my friends asking about it to give a go and see if it suits them. A Great Mascara

At 69 years old, I've tried many mascaras out there. I like this one because I found it did not clump for me and I like the wand style, shaping and bristles. I am very sensitive to products and have found no reaction to this one and have used it for well over a year. I like one lancome type also but this one seems better since even when I start a fresh tube of mascara, it does not clump. I do not need to wipe some product off the brush. It has lasted me for my full day even over 15 hours without any flaking or falling down on the cheek area. I will say some brands I've tried are nice but I experienced skin reactions and I have had skin issues even before my teen years so we are talking A LONG TIME! Don't. Unless you like raccoon eye / faded mascara.

I was shopping to replace a discontinued Urban Decay mascara that I finally ran out of (Troublemaker). An associate walked me around, helping me find other products from other brands with similar features to the discontinued one. This was the one she ultimately recommended. (Tarte Maneater was my 2nd choice and she said she would recommend several others before that one.) Unfortunately this was absolutely not what I needed. I'm getting married and needed something that won't cause raccoon eye every time I tear up at something, which is often. This one faded onto my eyelids with normal wear. No misty eyes or anything. Everyone was asking if I was wearing fake lashes!

This Mascara made me look like I was wearing fake lashes, I work in a cosmetics boutique and was asked multiple times what fake lashes I was wearing. This Mascara is very buildible and gives you nice long full lashes. I have quite decent sizes lashes so it really pulled out the length and just made them look amazing!! I will say this formula is kinda clumpy? If you just do like 3 fast strokes it's great, but to really get that insane length you have to do a couple layers and then take a spooly threw them after to kinda separate the lashes? I think it does such a bangup job that I wouldn't even mind doing this second step. As for the waterproof side of things I was really impressed, due to having quite long lashes every Mascara I buy tends to transfer below my eyebrows this Mascara however once its dry zero transfer!! It's a little harder to get off too... I needed to use like a balm oil to reallt break it down. I have only used this Mascara for about a week so far so I can speak for the formula drying out but so far it seems to be holding up great!! I like the bottle design and how it's compact and not tall and bulky like other Mascara designs. Overall if you have medium to long lashes and you're willing to do that extra spooly look to get the fake lash look 10/10 worth it! If you like that kinda dramatic thick Mascara look 10/10 worth it!! If you're not gonna do the extra spooly step or hate the more dramatic thick Mascara look, I would say to pass on this one.Overall I like this Mascara a lot! So nice to have a fake lash look without having fake lashes!! I wish it didn't get so clumpy but it is a buildable Mascara so that's kinda to be expected, I would buy this for sure.

Fantastic Mascara

I'm always looking for a better mascara because I expect a lot from them. I got this in the trial size first to try out. It is fantastic. Firstly the brush is great, loads lots of product on it but doesn't make lashes look caked on or clumpy plus the tapering from chubby to a narrower tip means you can easily go right from the roots to the ends of lashes with out any mess. The product itself applied really nicely and even with just one coat makes lashes look really much longer and fuller, plus it's easily buildable and does not look clumpy or make lashes look spider-like. I love that it washes off easily so I don't have to use oils (I have sensitive eyes) or too much rubbing to wipe it off, A little micellar water and a cotton pad and I can wipe it right off. ... MoreI'm always looking for a better mascara because I expect a lot from them. I struggle with mascara because I expect alot from them. I got this in the trial size first to try out. It is fantastic. Great Results

I don’t know why so many people don’t like this mascara! I have used every brand that QVC has offered in the past 20 years, not to mention all the other shopping channels. I am 67 years old, and when I find a mascara that I am satisfied with I stick with it. Unfortunately, after just a short time they stop making it and it’s no longer available. So, it’s time to go on the hunt again for a new mascara. I was on the hunt when I discovered this mascara. I was very pleased with it. I honestly do not know why there are so many negative reviews. I believe a lot of folks are looking for the perfect mascara that would give them the look of fake lashes. That’s not going happen!! I’m very satisfied with this mascara. At my current age of 67, my lashes are so sparse, they are truly invisible. If, I can visually see my lashes after only 1 application, then it’s a keeper. I not only could see my lashes after 1 application, but they were thicker and had a slight curl to them. After the 2nd application I knew I had found a replacement for my old mascara. It is a bit pricey, but what currently isn’t? I would much rather pay a few dollars extra and be VERY satisfied then pay a lower price and be disappointed. This mascara is a keeper, until they stop making it.

it did not look good at all and yes, it clumped! I watched a YouTube video saying mascara gets their "sweet spot" after a couple of weeks after being opened. I did not want to give up on this mascara, not yet at least. So fast forward.. I'd say it just finally started to look good within the past week, so after 3 weeks of having it. It is now giving me part of the look I was wishing for. My lashes are not that short or sparse so I was hoping for more like what I've seen on some others in videos I watched but I will admit it is looking much better and applying better too (I'm applying it the same exact way I was, just to add that in there). So my advice is, wait a couple of weeks and try it on again. I went from being scared to put this mascara on before work because ... Moreit did not look good at all and yes, it clumped! The first time I swiped it on it transferred into my lids in between my lashes and then to the crease and under eye. It's thick and dries clumpy so that my lashes stuck together. I left it dry and applied a second coat to see if it would remove some of the clumps, it didn't and I made it worse trying to clean it up with a q-tip so I just washed it off. The brush is way too hard and the formula made my eyes water. I also think the shade is un-natural and looks like magic marker. I have thin, sparse, blond lashes and have always used black mascara. I've tried many mascara products from QVC, IT, Better then Sex, Tarte and others. Given all the positive reviews, I had high hopes that this would be a great all rounder that would lengthen and separate with one coat for a nice, subtle everyday look, but could also be built up for a more dramatic look. Even after only one coat, this mascara was SO clumpy – literally the opposite of what it promises. The only way I could make this wearable was by scraping off the bulk of the product from the brush before applying. But even doing this and using a tonne of powder under my eyes, I couldn’t prevent this from smudging and transferring under my eyes after about 30 minutes of wear, which isn’t something I usually have an issue with.
