Mac Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour - Feels So Grand 5ml

Seriously, every time I've loved a red lipstick I saw someone wearing in person, online, or in print, it was almost always Ruby Woo. This lipstick has been on my wishlist forever but I kept putting it off because I always wear liquid lipsticks and have become accustomed to them. I'm so grateful Mac sent me this lipstick! I can now truly understand the hype! First, the shade of red is gorgeous, not too warm or bright, or too deep or cool- I feel like it's both in the middle of that spectrum yet at time especially on my lips, encompasses both characteristics at times. This is such a pleasure for red lipsticks which are notorious for getting on your teeth and being obvious when it's smeared or smudged. The formula alone is amazing but I believe this shade would look lovely on every skin tone as well! Plus, it can easily be adjusted with a lipliner to your liking. I don't wear many lipsticks because liquid lipsticks are my jam, but Ruby Woo is an exception. You get this beautiful, almost stained-like, velvety pouty lips! Already this is my holy grail go-to red lipstick! I've never seen anyone not able to pull of this lipstick. You have to give Ruby Woo a try at the very least to see what you're missing!

A high shine lip gloss that emphasizes your lips!

This lipglass surprised me! When choosing a shade online, I was nervous that the color Nymphette would be too light for my medium skin tone. Thankfully, the shade is perfect and very natural looking, which makes me think it would work for most people if you're stuck in between shades. The applicator for this product is really nice, the perfect amount of product comes out on the doe foot applicator, not too much and not too little. When it comes to applying the product itself, I was a little disappointed in the texture. It was way less glossy or even moisturizing than it appears. I was hoping for a smooth application but it was a little tough to apply on its own, or at least the way I think a gloss should apply. Average lip gloss that is stuck in the early 2000s

I wanted to love the lipgloss, but unfortunately did not like it. My ideal lipgloss is one leaves my lips feeling hydrates, has a nice shine, has a neutral taste, and passes the sticky test. The lip gloss did not leave me feeling any of these ways. After using the lip gloss my lips felt dried and dehydrated. The shine quality of the gloss was diminished due to how gloopy it felt on my lips. The main complaint I could not get pass was the taste of the lip gloss, it was straight up like plastic. Lastly, the lip feel was not great either. My hair constantly was getting stuck in the gloss and my lips felt like they were getting stuck together whenever my lips touched. EXPLICIT - DISAPPOINTED IN COLOR CHANGE

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE COLOR EXPLICIT. THE WEBSITE WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO LEAVE A REVIEW WHEN I CHANGED FROM THE DEFAULT COLOR SPITE WHICH IS HORRIBLE.I used to buy the color Explicit years ago and it was my favorite. The color was more SILVER not bronze. It had a strong silver under tone with a hint of gray and purple sparkles. This new Explicit color is completely Bronze. It is similar to Oh Baby color. Why would make change from the original color of Explicit to add another bronze shade to the product line when there are ENOUGH bronze shades in the line is CRAZY!I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I ordered 3 of them and will return them and find another brand that has the color I want SMH

Finally the red I was looking for

I purchased the "Dance with Me" color. I like to mix mine with Ruby Phew which I apply first very thinly and then I place the Dance with Me on top. The color is beautiful!! The exact red I am looking for especially since my lips are two different colors. My skin color is somewhere between Tia Mowry, Tatiana Ali, and Kelly Rowland and sometimes it is so hard to find that right red that isn't orange-y but also doesn't like a tomato is on my mouth. A nice deep sexy red just a bit lighter than blood. I apply just a tiny bit of their clear glass lip gloss for moisture and a little shine. It never misses!!! I'm always complimented. Try it on in store! I think even if I didn't mix the Dance with Me would nail it every time.

Glossy without the mess

The MAC Lipglass in Spite is one of the most pigmented glosses that I own. The shade is on the darker side of taupe- it's a bit darker than my natural lip color. The application of the gloss with the doe-foot was super easy! The gloss glides smoothly and leaves an even sheen wherever it's applied. The gloss itself isn't super thick or super sticky, which I really like! It does have a sticky feel but it's very light. The sheen is still there even if you smack your lips. The smell is also pleasant- like vanilla. I'd say the staying power is quite strong too.

Good lipgloss

I have average sized lips that often get chapped. The Mac lipglass felt good on my lips. It was thicker than other lipglosses I've used. I had to re-dip the wand into the tube a couple times to fully apply product to my lips. The color was pretty, but due to the current tanning shade of my skin it didn't really show up as a different color. It had good lasting power as I was able to eat and drink and still had product on my lips. The design of the packaging is simple, which I can appreciate. The only thing that I would say wasn't my favorite was definitely how thick the product was. Sometimes it was hard to rub my lips together to spread the product evenly. Overall, it's a good product and would be interested in trying other shades.

Used this for my wedding - SERIOUSLY AMAZING!

The trick is really to get a good liner on and fill with this otherwise you can get a really jagged line and you don't want that with something so dramatic and super stay. My other biggest pointer is that while they LOOK very similar this has MUCH more staying power than the M.A.C. powder kiss formula. SERIOUSLY A GREAT PRODUCT FORMULA FOR MY BRIDES/GROOMS/any event goers that want a long lasting shade. And trust me I've tried way too many lip shades that just don't last on my lip/skin type.

Using this for many years!

I've been using MAC Lipglas for many years. I understand the complaints from some that it's a very tacky-feeling gloss, almost not like a gloss in many ways, and I get that. It IS a tacky feel. However, I feel that it adds to the staying power. I can layer Lipglass or wear it alone and it really doesn't need many touch ups throughout my day. I don't mind touching up my lip colours because I find things that are TOO long-wearing can get that applied-hours-ago look that isn't the nicest. Lipglass will last you long enough between things like having a drink or going out for a few hours but not so long it starts to look cakey. I think the texture is a trade-off you have to accept for it's firmness. There's a reason why it's been around for a long time.

It's fine, but not my favorite gloss.The wand doesn't pick up a lot of product, so I found myself dipping several times just for my first application. While it's a pretty shade, the color is overpowered by the glitter. I don't mind a bit of shimmer or glitter in gloss, but the lipglass is definitely mainly glitter with a side of gloss.For consistency, it isn't too sticky and is pretty smooth, but you can definitely feel the glitter when you rub your lips together.
