The singlet is nice and lightweight but provides adequate warmth (tested in southern Victoria during late Autumn with cold weather). The material washes and dries easily, and could easily be worn as a singlet top in warmer weather.I went for the charcoal grey colour as white doesn't go well in the bush, and many outer clothes are black and so it would be harder to distinguish when in the pack.My only complaint is that the shoulder straps fell a little long, and I am considering shortening them myself.

I have worn these singlets every day since I purchased them five months ago. In fact my daughter liked them, so purchased two of her own to wear while travelling around Europe. They are wonderfully comfortable, hard wearing and easy to launder. I researched products from other companies, but Macpac was the only one that sold pure merino singlets.

I really like this singlet. Super fine merino wool so no itch and very comfortable. No microplastics getting into the environment as with synthetics. Nice length so it stays tucked in. Perfect lightweight base layer for all conditions.

Im normally a size 8, and I purchased a size 6 after reading the reviews that these singlets seem to fit slightly large- The 6 does fit very snug, but I think I would buy an 8 next time just incase there is any shrinkage when washed. So I think these singlets are true to size. Other than the sizing the singlet is lovely, soft and a perfect base layer for me.
I love this singlet. The material is the perfect weight, the neckline allows me to routinely wear it under my work clothes all winter without showing at the neck, and this quality merino material just doesn't get smelly, so i can wear multiple days in a row and save washing.
Love my merino singlets. Got one 5 years ago, needed replacing so I got another from Macpac, knowing I love them. Happy I got on special
I wear these singlets under my work uniform to regulate my heat in winter in an office environment. I also wear them by themselves in summer, wide strap to cover bra straps. Nice torso length, can be worn tucked in or left out. Nice merino weight - not too see-through.
I've been a mega-fan of Macpac's merino singlet in "ink" for several years. I buy at least two per year. This year they changed - now a more V than U neckline, lower quality, thinner merino, narrower trim...not improvements. It's like a flimsy camisole with wide shoulders. Why?
These woollen singlets are my secret weapon in an Auckland winter. Keeps you warm when itβs cold and wet. Makes over zealous workplace air conditioning much more bearable, especially if worn with another layer of wool in the mix, like a cardi. Not at all scratchy against my skin, and comfy enough to sleep in. Washes and wears super well - I use ecostore wool wash on a wool cycle in my front loader.
The Snow white colour is not white, it's pale yellow. Macpac should call it Natural, as in the natural colour of wool. I understand that it would require a lot of harsh bleach to make it white, but it was disappointing to receive it when expecting it to be white. I have bought the black colour before, they are perfect in winter, lightweight under another top, keep their shape & easy to launder.
