Quality bag, very light weight to carry, but know that this is a very thin fill. Was too cold for me at 7 degrees C. Was great at 20 degrees. Haven’t tested for myself in between temps

I bought this sleeping bag as I wanted something that was small/compact, to use while going on some of the Great Walks during the summer months. It's very small when packed up, and nice and light to sleep in so great for summer. Very happy with my purchase.

Very lightweight, but down quite thin. Great for summer in a hut - i use it with a good liner so reasonably warm. Exactly what I wanted.
This sleeping bag does exactly what it says on the tin. Once you accept that it isn't a high-altitude or four-season bag, you realize that it is perfect for the job it does. Packs down really small, comfortable, roomy enough (I'm 194cm tall) and easy to own. I used it for bike-packing (TA 2023), and loved it.
My sleeping bag weighed 545grams and took up hardly any space, so it meant my pack could be quite small. It was important to me to carry as light weight as possible and I thought the risk of the Escapade 150 not being warm enough could be mitigated by pulling on another layer. Verdict- It was cool, November, Raikiura NZ, hut windows were open all night and my guess temp dropped to 8-10 degrees outside. I did need to grab my merino hoodie about 2am. So if you feel the cold, this might not warm be enough. But for me it was perfect, and the size and weight contributed to a pack weight of 9.5kgs, with all food/water/gas/burner and gear for 3 days! Added bonus of opening out to a blanket and the storage bag is attached to the sleeping bag so you can't lose it!
Used early December 2021 on Stewart Island staying in the huts. Perfectly warm and when it got a bit colder the silk liner added the extra warmth I needed. Light, easy and quick to pack away. Packs down smaller than my macpac Sundowner down jacket which I ended up using as a pillow.
Updating my review of a few years ago.I spent 67 nights with the "150" serving as my sole sleeping bag over Autumn and Winter in Rockhampton this year. The days were hot but the nights were cool (averaging around 11 degrees).Despite conditions being 10 degrees below the bag's temperature rating, I remained warm and comfortable with naught else but a silk liner. Daily airing was necessary to remove moisture from the down, and the bag needed a good washing when I returned to Hobart, but it subsequently lofted good as new.Ian
I've been after a lightweight summer bag for a while, and picked up an Escapade on sale.I'm a warm sleeper, and about the only time I haven't overheated in my 3+ season bag was sleeping in huts in snow. I find this bag plenty warm enough for most 3-season conditions with a silk liner; it also zips into a rectangular blanket that works well for warm temperatures.I intended to also use it as a liner to boost the warmth of my 3+ season bag for snow trips, but suspect it might be a bit too warm. The rectangular design with no hood make it a bit more versatile than an ultra-light mummy bag, as it can be zipped out into a rectangular blanket.
We took a chance hoping we might get away with these for a couple of chilly nights in a tent. They did not disappoint. They're not rated for low temperatures really, but we had some 7-8 degree overnight lows and were never once cold. We did sleep in light clothes, and are both reasonably warm sleepers, but I was very impressed with how cozy they kept us.
