Great jacket, however the tags on the zips vary from the picture online. Zip tags online were black and white and much longer than the short black zip tags on the jacket we got. When checked in-store, all sizes of this jacket seem to have different tags on the zips? The customer service person said these vary between batches. Some are black and white and quite a good long length, and some are black and very short.

I have used the softshell Macpac vests for years and love them for their fit, practicality and durability. Not a fan of the puffer vests and jackets because of their bulk, and the softshell is as warm as the puffer without making you look like a snowman. Thought I would buy the jacket to complement existing vests and should've done it years ago. Fantastic fit and comfort.

Good looking softshell for not so cold days, seems well made from quality materials. However does have some downsides: runs small/tight to size (I bought a 2XL as I am 6'4"), the fluffy inner material grabs at shirt sleeves as you put it on - a pain when the sleeves are tight anyway, and collar does not fold down rubbing on your neck. Maybe better for skinny young guys :)

I have had this item for a couple weeks now and it is my favourite jacket. I bought it recently after buying the equivalent kid's jackets two years ago for each of our children. They love them and I thought I'd get one for myself. It is comfortable, warm and looks good too. It even keeps you dry through a light shower and drizzle. I do find however that the arms are a little tight fitting in comparison to the body (no, I'm not a body builder). I would recommend going a size up on your usual to account for this fact unless you have spaghetti arms.
Great jacket. Well made and comfortable. True to size. Excellent wind breaking and water resistance combined with warmth. I use this as a walking and bicycling jacket and layer it with other layers I'd it's really cold.
I have been wearing this jacket for tidy casual use. It even works over suit pants for a smart casual look. I recently took this jacket on a business trip to China. The weather in Beijing was -3 degrees with wind and heavy snow. I wore a Macpac Merino, and this jacket as a mid layer with my Macpac Traverse Jacket as an outer shell. It worked great. Breathable, warm and light. Most times it can be worn on its own without an outer layer but good to know it can handle extremes too. I’ve owned several soft shells of other brands but this is the best I’ve used. Good work Macpac.
Convenient and easy 'click-&-collect' purchase. Online sizing was accurate. Photos helpful. Good quality product.
Nice fitting jacket I am 95kg 176 cm tall and XL fits nice with a little bit of room for layering. Quality materials and really keeps out the wind and light rain. Chest pocket is handy for phone storage. Side pockets in just the right spot for keeping hands warm. Great for wearing as a top layer over business shirt when outdoors from office environment
Overall I'm happy with the jacket but a couple of things annoy me. Firstly the sleeves are a slightly tight fit, they're fine if you only intend wearing a tshirt or light shirt underneath but there is no way you can wear a hoodie or similar underneath the jacket. I'd say the jacket is more "fitted" through the body and I really like that when I just want to wear a tshirt under it. If you have big arms then I'd suggest going up a size. Secondly the collar doesn't really lay down, it stands up and therefore can be a little annoying under your chin and neck area at times. I really like the zippered pockets and the zippered chest pocket is perfect for storing a mobile phone.
Ridiculous cut and sizing. No idea what the designer was thinking. I buy shirts in large. Bought an extra large and it was so tight under the armpits I could hardly move my arms. Rest of it was fine but I couldn’t wear it
