Great for casserole. Cooked this in the pressure cooker as a beef stew. Turned out perfectly with a lovely texture. Will most definitely have this on my shopping list in future.

Great casserole. Been having a few nights of zero degrees, made a rich casserole in the slow cooker - results simply perfect.

Nice. The meat was slow cooked in a fry pan to make it more tender as it cooked. Once meat was cooked in the pan, it was left in there. In the left over oil I then added small piece of butter, some garlic and thyme. Mixed it all up, then spooned it over the cooked meat a few times to allow this basting to get some rich flavour into the steak. Doing this also guarantees a more juicy and tender piece of meat. The steak was served with steamed cauliflower and broccoli and some roast potatoes. Nice meal was had. Thank you for the sample.
Hearty winter hotpot. I cut the meat into small pieces and added it to a crock pot along with a variety of vegetables, lentils and stock. Slow cooked overnight to create a thick hearty casserole. Husband loves it!
Best ever steak. Love using this in slow cooker especially for a hearty winter casserole..... Reccomend this cut of meat 100%
Tasty. Excited and surprised to get a βmeat β sample for a bunch review. This lean piece of meat was seasoned well. Salt, pepper & oregano. It was left for approx. 2 hours in the fridge for meat to absorb seasoning. It was cooked in the pan on low heat to avoid making the meat tough. It was served up with hot chips, rice and a salad. It tasted great. Fed 2 people. Thank you. Always enjoy sampling & reviewing.
Good for Slow Cooker. It was great to try the Macro Grass Fed Chuck Steak. A bit disappointed with the amount of fat I found on meat on the underside of the package. Cut away 162 gms of fat from a 660 gms piece of chuck steak. But pleased with the outcome of the Massaman Beef Curry I made in the slow cooker. Tasty and tender and would purchase this item again.
Hearty and Flavourful. While chuck steak is not known for its tenderness, this particular grass-fed option provided a rich and robust beef flavour with a good amount of marbling, which added to its juiciness and contributed to the overall taste. I appreciated that the beef was sourced from grass-fed cattle, where the Macro brand is generally pretty tasty too. Although the steak may require some extra care and cooking time compared to more tender cuts, the effort pays off in flavour. It's a great choice for those who enjoy rich and savory dishes, such as stews or casseroles.
Works for a stew or casserole! It took 3 visits to Woolies before I found this item so when I found it I just grabbed a pack. I noted the sizes and prices were all different which is not unusual for the meat department. Visually the meat had more fat on it than I like to see and I spent some time cutting it off as best as possible. Given this is a cheaper cut and more prone to be a tough piece of meat I cubed the meat and made a stew, bulking up the dish with lots of veges. This worked well for the cut and was a hearty comforting meal when coupled with some fresh crusty bread given the cold of Canberra at this time of year. Would re-purchase if looking for meat for a stew or casserole.
