Thick. I tried shaking the can to mix the seperation on top but I had to open the can pour into a bowl and whisk it to incorporate the top layer to the bottom. Way way way too much guar gum. If my recipe didn't call for me to take a 1/4 cup out to marinate my chicken it would've been ok. The only part of this product that makes it different from the Woolies essentials brand is the word organic and a little less water. I would choose a different brand over this one. I think there are better brands on the supermarket shelf practically the same price. Maybe not organic but worth the sacrifice.

Creamy goodness. I usually buy the cheaper Woolworths coconut milk so I was excited to try this one. I gave the can a bit of a shake before opening so that the cream and liquid mixes together. It was lovely and creamy and had a strong smell of coconut which I noticed that the cheaper brand doesn't. The milk is very versatile and can be used in curries, desserts or smoothies. It also stores well in an air tight container for a few days. The can was easy to open so easy to use if you're in a hurry or don't own a can opener. The label is easy to read and the customer can clearly see what is written on the can. Also the price is a lot higher than what I'm used to paying, I can understand why. Creamy Coconut Milk. Bunch made me do it! As soon as I got this sample I was thinking of making my Cherry Ripe Mud Cake and that's what I did. In this Australian Organic Awareness Month I was pleased to get this organic coconut milk sample. Thanks bunch. I very much appreciated the special coconut consideration It's made in Thailand as most of the coconut milks are and contains 74% organic coconut extract, water and thickener (organic guar gum). This one costs more than double what I usually pay for coconut milk so I'm not sure that I'd buy it again but it is very coconutty so I might. The WW Essentials only has 50% coconut extract but is also only 95 cents compared to $2. 50 for this organic one. If you're looking for a real coconut kick get this one.

Dreams are made of sun ☀️ sand & coconuts . Great coconut milk for curries, soups, smoothies or desserts. I used this coconut milk for Massaman curry, and it was just as good as the name brand product. Love that the tin has a ring pull, making it very easy to open. Before opening you need to shake, shake, shake me up for the good stuff. It has a good creamy consistency, and slightly thicker than other brands. Easily found on the shelf, amongst the other coconut milk/cream. 2 Health star rating. ACO Certified organic. Made in Thailand. No artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. $2. 50 for 400g. This is a great pantry staple, and I have purchased it now a few times to add to my curries.
Thick and Creamy. I found this product in the Asian section with other coconut milk products. The price was $2. 50. I must say I don't buy coconut milk or cream so was thinking how will I use this as we don't like it used in curries and that type of dish. So I put my thinking cap on and decided to create a cake with half and a smoothie with the other half!On opening the ring pull can it was rather solid looking so put a knife in and stirred it around to combine the oil and solids. It combined into a very creamy mixture with a lovely sweet coconut aroma. BUT I noticed that it is 74% Organic Coconut Extract and the balance is water and thickener (organic Guar gum) Why add thickener to milk? It is a product of Thailand and has a 2HSR. We both really enjoyed the Coconut Banana Kiwi fruit and honey smoothie It was super thick!!The cake I created is called Zesty Lemon & Coconut Cake which is for afternoon tea!So the summary is a really great product that I will buy and I took one star away because of the thickening in the ingredients. Many thanks Bunch and Woolies for this sample and expanding my cooking experience!!
Used as a substitute for cream. Used the Macro Organic Coconut Milk as a substitute for cream in a Indian butter chicken recipe. Turned out very creamy even without the dairy cream and butter however it does have a very strong coconut taste and smell. More so than other coconut milk brands I've used. Also used it to make fruit smoothies, absolutely delicious in smoothies.
Who doesn't love coconut milk. This product is great. curry dishes, thai or Indian. I also used this for warm chia puddings for my 12mo breakfast or a cold berry chia pudding for lunch. you would only need about 200mls and you'll get 3/4 baby serves of pudding.
Handy for the pantry. I thought I would find this in the macro aisle. However, it was in the aisle with all the other coconut milks and creams in tins. The label on the tin says it has a two star health rating and that it is ACO certified. There are also a couple of suggestions for how to use the coconut milk in soups and curries. Also on the label it says it's suitable for vegans, vegetarians and gluten free. I loved that the product is in a tin as it makes it easy to transport and store, plus it means it can be recycled. It is also great as it has a ring pull on the top. Making it easier to open as you don't have to hunt through your kitchen drawers for a can opener. I used my coconut milk to add to a butter chicken to tone the flavours down, as some in my family don't like anything spicy or with heat. I found the coconut milk blended beautifully into my dinner. I would definitely buy this again.
Versatile canned goodness. My husband is lactose intolerant so coconut anything is a great substitute. I always have coconut milk in my pantry for making waffles! And it's always a treat for Sunday morning. The 400ml is just enough for a family of 4 believe it or not. Add with plain flour, vanilla extract, 2 eggs and into the waffle maker it goes until slightly brown.
Is this milk or cream?? I received coconut milk last week (WW essentials) and this week Macro brand coconut milk. How good! I opened both cans to compare. This macro organic coconut milk is more like cream... Tastes so delicious, no complaints from me! But it is really a cream. The health rating is 2 compared to WW Essentials milk at 3. I used some of this in my breakfast smoothie this morning and the taste was delicious. Both products are from Thailand. At the end of the day both are perfect but if you really need milk I would suggest you shake the can when purchasing to see if it will suit your need. I will be purchasing both products in the future without hesitation.
