Macro Sweet Potato Chickpea Chips 69g

Bit on the Bland Side. I was looking forward to trying these, but have to say I'm disappointed. I tried them on their own and you could taste the sweet potato but even then they needed some salt to bring them to life, then I tried them with my creamy avocado dip they were better but not by much, they seem to be missing the seasoning mark. The best part is they are gluten free, source of fibre and dairy free. Has no artificial colours, flavours or preservaties. They are suitable for vegans and vegetarians. A HSR of 4. 5 that's good. Made from at least 54% Australian ingredients. Best before date of 16 Jul 2024. Bag goes in the bin. Priced at $4 for a 69g packet is a bit pricy. Ok Snack. I thought these chips tasted ok. They were fresh with a crunchy texture, were a good sized chip, but I couldn’t really taste the sweet potato, which would have made them tastier I think. They’re made with Australian mung beans, chickpeas and maize, from at least 54% Australian ingredients, gluten free, source of fibre, dairy free, with a 4. 5 star health rating. Quite a more-ish snack! Our house was divided on these. My elderly Mum didn't like them at all, declaring them bland and tasting like cardboard. I actually quite liked them. The texture reminded me of Muncheros which were on the market years ago. The flavour was quite bland, but I found them to be very more-ish. I liked that they weren't too salty and I thought they were nice and crispy. I wasn't too keen on the strange aftertaste and oily residue that coated my mouth afterwards. It's not a product I would purchase again.

Better than expected. I expected these to be similar to the many other chickpea chips available that are slightly cardboardy, a bit grainy, and not overly tasty, but I was pleasantly surprised! They were a thicker type of chip (not actually a chip but a bit like a cracker in their thickness and constitution). I liked the ridges as you can kind of take bites at each ridge which I find better than the usual chip that then crumbles everywhere. Flavour was like I expected. Not overly strong, fairly plain, but salty and actually quite moorish once you get eating them. Healthy option but not value for money and lacking flavour. These were really hard to locate in several stores for quite awhile as it seemed to be a new product according to staff but thankfully I was able to find it on the very last day of being able to claim the sample. There are real wholefoods that have been given the same (or even less) heath rating. This snack is not a substitute for healthy snacks like fruit, vegetables, seeds, nuts and yoghurt. These chips are really expensive. They are ok to have as a party food and a far better option than the chemical laden chips out there that contain preservatives, flavour enhancers - msg (621, 635), etc. I would consider buying again if it came in a bigger party pack, changed and ditched the processed oil and was on sale. Expensive Snack. Was intrigued to try these. Did notice the shelf price is very high for the amount of grams in the packet. First thing I noticed was the difference in colour from the packet to the actual item. No big deal. Item is crunchy and tasty. Would describe the flavour as very mild with a pinch of salt. Also assumed due to the packaging the product was made from sweet potato as they are the first words on the pack, but it only contains 4% sweet potato powder, and is actually made from mung bean flour and chickpea flour plus some other bits and pieces. Don’t think I’ll be buying these in the future unless the shelf price was reduced by about 50% or more.

Better than expected. Having checked the ingredients beforehand, I thought these might be a little 'meh'. They're great ingredients, don't get me wrong, but not something I thought my young kids would enjoy. I was wrong! They devoured the lot and said it was yummy. Out of the packet they don't look appetising, they're more brown/beige than what's on the packaging, and they look kinda dry. However they were super crunchy, quite moreish and not too salty. I wouldn't say they had a distinct flavour but they were enjoyable, and I didn't mind the texture of them all. The downside is it's $4 a pack, and the pack is small. So for that reason I wouldn't buy again unless on sale. Thank you Bunch for the sample!

The chips are alot thicker than regular chips - more on the side of what you might expect for a cracker. This made me think they would be good with dip so I tried them plain plus as a cracker with my homemade tzatziki. The chips, as is, taste a little plain and bland with a mild savoury taste. They definitely were better used as a cracker for tzatziki. The homemade tzatziki which I overdosed with flavour gave the chips a major flavour addition and I ended up eating the entire pack!!!
