The DVD part worked well. The VCR played correctly, but the eject did not work because the door flap did not lift and blocked the cassette from ejecting. I had to manually hold it open to eject the tape.

Purchased Dec 2023. Worked fine for 3 months but now the DVD side won’t open. Plus the VCR turns on %26 off even when not in use. Contacted Deal Fair Company(seller) %26 they said the VCR was only guaranteed for 30 days. Wouldn’t even consider exchange or repair. Lesson learned, I guess.

I would never recommend anyone to BUY USED!! I spent $159. With the advertisement saying “It’s just like new” well new doesn’t come with DUST ALL IN THE INSIDE of the vhs side and dvd side. It plays for about 1 minute at a time then it gives an error so then you have to stop eject the VHS restart to watch another 1 minute of video. I just am chalking this up to lesson learned!!!I am scared to play my videos in it now thinking that it might eat up the tape and that will ruin my memoriesTOTALLY DISAPPOINTED DONT BUY USE FROM WALMART OR ITS SELLERS THEY ALLOW TO SELL ON THEIR SITE!

I was very surprised when I received this DVD/VCR. When I purchased it online I did not see that it was refurbished. Only realized it when I opened the box. The picture quality is great and works very well. I would buy this again. On the inside of the shipping box was a personal note thanking me for the purchase.
I was very happy with my purchase. The DVD VCR combo is in excellent condition. I received amanual, remote control, and the necessary cables needed to set up this device.I received my item in a very short period of time. Overall, the experience was excellent!
We have had more trouble with the DVD player that VCR. It will not respond to the remote despite new battery changes. For this price, we expect it to work. We bought it for my mother -in-law who is 79. She is getting weaker as she ages and loves to watch her old movies that are on both VHS and DVD. She also cannot hear very well. All we are trying to do is turn on the closed captioning. It will not work. TAKING IT BACK!
Replaces the exact model that we had where the DVD player went bad. Did not come with a remote, hoping the one we have with work with the replacement unit. Wish there was a place we could send the old one to get fixed or sell back to get fixed for resale. It was well packed for shipping although the Home Depot box threw me for a loop as I thought I hadn't bought anything that big from Home Depot in a while.
This was supposed to be NEW in box. IT WAS NOT!!! Came loose in another box. CLEARLY used and or refurbished. No where, when I ordered it, did it state that. It stated new. Now, when I go back to look, wording has been changed to state used. What a scam.
It was advertised as "new", but I discovered later from Magnavox that it was made in 2011!It was delivered to my house on 8/25, but I am 75, so I needed to ask my handyman to set it up for me. He was very sick, so it wasn't til 9/15 that he could do that for me. As soon as I started using it, I saw that the dvd part DID NOT WORK! After several calls to Magnavox and then Walmart, which took me to 9/25, I was informed that I cannot return this defective merchandise for refund or replacement because there is a 30 day limit on Electronic returns!!!!!
The unit does everything it’s supposed to do. So far I’ve copied over 450 VHS tapes to DVDs. And they play on any other DVD player. But it requires reading and following the very simple instructions. The finished DVD must be, “finilized†on the machine it was burned on. Than all will be well. Read the instructions! Follow the instructions. Learn to know what you’re doing.
