I was at Mecca for some other perfumes but happened to smell this one. I sprayed some on my cardigan and when I got home i just cant stop going back to that cardigan and keep smelling this beautiful scent. I went back a few days later and got it. This is one of the samples I purchased from the MFK site to test before buying due to the price. This is a very interesting perfume! There is an airy and crystalline quality to this and never feels heavy which many vanilla based perfumes tend to do. Its an ethereal vanilla with hints of citrus in the opening and florals that have just bloomed but its a cool spring day so they arent always apparent. There is a higher pitch to this fragrance than the Extrait version. I would swear there is ambroxen in this that lends to the pitch which I find similar to Le Labo Tonka. The dry down was a bit smoky and reminded me of a much lighter version of Vanille Insensee with LL Tonka. One spritz to the wrist lasted until the next day. I have both and theyre so lovely smelling. Sometimes I like to layer them when wearing them. The Sillage and projection are monstrous when it comes to these scents and its so easy to overspray and even become anosmic when wearing this. I wont even smell it on myself and someone will compliment me and tell me how good I smell lol. This lasts all day on clothes and skin! I interchangeably wore both the edp and extrait in the humid, Indonesian climate while I was on vacation and I still smelled it on my clothes in the evening. I know they say its unisex but I feel like with how gourmand these scents are, these lean more towards women imho.

So expensive I know, but definitely worth the splurge. One spritz lasts ALL day. I have the hair mist and the perfume. The perfume is stronger but does last longer. If wearing it in the hot summer (I live in Florida) you definitely only need one spritz so it doesnt become to overwhelming since it is a heavier scent, I still wear it year round though! And the hair mist is basically the same smell as the perfume and lasts almost as long, slightly lighter scent so is even more perfect for the spring/summer. Its such a gorgeous smell, I always get compliments from my bf when i wear and even passing strangers! I have never met someone who did not like the scent. Young, old, it doesnt matter. I bought a sample of the original EDP but it didn't work well on my skin. However, I loved the smell it left in the room after spraying it, so someone suggested I try the Extrait de parfum and OH MY GOD! I am so in love with this scent. It is so beautiful I can't even describe it. It feels more sophisticated than the original, completely intoxicating without being overpowering. For me this is perfection, I can't stop smelling myself. The scent is so long lasting, even after showering you can still get a hint of it on your skin. Expensive but worth every penny. I don't think I will ever buy any other fragrance again. Will definitely repurchase when this bottle runs out.
