The Vallée de Farney nature preserve, where Marie’s Grandfather discovered many new plant specimens, was the inspiration for this fragrance. The fragrance opens with a bright, zesty citrus burst, that combines the tang of grapefruit and orange with the subtle kick of black pepper. Imagine taking a bite out of a freshly picked fruit, while trekking through the undergrowth - totally invigorating. As the scent unfolds on your skin, the woody notes of Cedarwood and Patchouli take center stage. These rich, earthy aromas ground the fragrance in the natural world, evoking the scent of trees and soil and the wild, untamed beauty of the forest. Let Vallée de Farney transport you to the heart of Mauritius Island, where Louis Marie's passion for botanical exploration was ignited and where the beauty of nature unfolds in all its glory.

Thank you to Influenster and Maison Louis Marie for sending me this product for free in exchange for my honest review! The spray-on version of this perfume is very nice, but it's not as good as the oil perfume version! The longevity of this one isn't as long as the oil version, but that's the nature of aerosol-based perfumes. I sprayed this on my wrist, and it wore off after roughly three hours of wear. Versus the oil perfume which was still going strong at hour eight of the wear time. This version is good if you want the same scent blend, but lighter and not as long-lasting. However, I am in love with the scent blend! When it first goes on, it smells so fresh. After it dries down, the subtle sweetness of the Tuscan Fig shines through, while the slight nuttiness of the Tonka and the musk of the amber and santal notes compliment it so nicely! The coconut water and vetiver are incredibly subtle and barely perceptible, but those two really help bring the whole thing together. This is a perfect summer scent, it makes me think of strolling along the beach in a tiny seaside town.

I received this perfume from Influenster and Maison Louis Marie in exchange for my honest review. I absolutely love perfume and have a lot of it. I do have one other fragrance from Maison Louis Marie and was very excited to try this one. In my opinion this is a non offensive fragrance. It’s a fresh, clean smelling perfume. I think this would be a fine perfume to wear at the office or school. It (obviously) has a strong fig smell which is good, but I personally don’t like spraying a lot (no more than 3 sprays for sure) because it almost burns my nose if I spray too much (I think either the strong fig or the muguet/Lily of the valley note caused this). So, a little goes a long way on me. Personally, I would consider this a sort of unisex fragrance, but it does lean towards feminine due to the slight floral top note. This could also be a good fragrance to pair with another perfume if you like doing that. I also love perfume oils and prefer them over sprays. I just find they last longer on me than normal sprays and the scent is stronger.

I’m not sure why it smells so offensive to me because I like each of the notes this supposedly claims to have in it (rose/tonka). I wasn’t sure what cassis smelled like so maybe that was part of the chance I was taking with this, but this combo truly smells offensive. My sister was in the room when I put it on and she hates it too lol. Even after letting it dry down on my skin, I can’t say it smells any better than when I first out it on. The best way to describe it (on me) is rotting celery when I first put in on and then a weird soapy smell after it’s dried down. For the price, you might want to give it a try, but I’m heading to Sephora right now to return it.

If you find it’s incomplete, layer with vanilla
21 January 2023

I’m soooo on the fence about this fragrance. Firstly I prefer the oil version over the eau, it’s more rich smelling if that makes sense (idk). But overall it smells different than anything I’ve smelled before, it’s just kinda woody and lightly smells like herbs in my opinion? And my dad said he smells a hint of coconut which I agree with. However, how I’ve come to love this is by layering with vanilla!! It adds that necessary touch of warmth and sweetness I feel the fragrance needs. I use Vanilla Woods by 7 Virtues and I’m loving this combo. But I won’t be purchasing a full size because layering is too much work lol I’m trying to find the perfect fragrance for me without needing to add more notes on top because this fragrance just feels incomplete to me and like ... MoreI’m soooo on the fence about this fragrance. But remember fragrance is subjective so there really isn’t one answer. I just felt it wasn’t for me, if you like sweet and warm scents you can skip this one!

Smell did not last
26 April 2023

I received these products for free from Influenster and Maison Louis in exchange for my honest review. I was quite worried about this perfume because i’ve tried some of their other perfumes, and they seemed to not fit my age group very well, and they seemed for a more mature woman. This perfume definitely wasn’t the case this time. The smell is more on the subtle side. I don’t really pick up the citrus notes, but I do pick up the fig, coconut and the Tuscan wood. This would be move of an every day perfume for me. Nothing really special. The spray definitely last a lot longer than the oil on me. It sucks because I had such high expectations for the oil and loved that they did both a spray and an oil roller. The spray bottle is really nice but the pump feels a little bit on the cheaper side and the cap to the spray is a lot harder to pull off then you would think. I wish they would have put a more firm or harder to get off cap on the oil roller because I would be more worried about the oil roller spilling in my purse than the alcohol perfume.

Tobacco Vanille + soap
20 March 2023

It’s small but that shouldn’t shock you when the quantity of product (3ml) is clearly stated in the item description when you deliberately choose to purchase it. There’s literally no way you could miss it lol why complain about it.The scent is fine. I do agree that it’s reminiscent of TF Tobacco Vanille. To me it’s less tobacco (not as intense as TV) and more soapy. In the start it smells like gingerbread cookies. It dries down into a soapy vanilla with a hint of tobacco blossom. It’s also a bit green in my opinion idk why I’m getting some sort of rosemary or sage (idk).Overall would not buy a full size as it’s not my favourite but it’s fun to try, if you like TV but not how strong the tobacco note is (making it smell very masculine), you may enjoy this. My dad and I both agree that this is more feminine leaning due to vanilla and soap. I keep repeating soap and although there’s no soap note I definitely smell a lot of soap going on lol. After 3 hours (currently as I’m writing this) it still smells strong but can’t speak on the longevity yet since I literally just got it and used once. Seems good so far though.

Very strong sent of Fennel/Anise/licorice…
6 March 2023

Tried a sample of this oil after reading an article where this scent was referenced. It has a super strong initial scent of fennel/anise/licorice and I’m not a fan of that. Actually, the smell of black licorice gives me a headache so I initially hated this scent. But underneath the strong licorice scent, there is a lovely, sensual, soft aroma that I like.
