This Marita drill beats my 7 Year old Dewalt 18v by a long shot. Power and Torque is on par with my other Milwaukee but much smoother when driving in 4" deck screws. It's super compact, strong as heck and weighs close to nothing on your belt. The perfect drill... it's Makita tools from now on.

This Marita drill beats my 7 Year old Dewalt 18v by a long shot. Power and Torque is on par with my other Milwaukee but much smoother when driving in 4" deck screws. It's super compact, strong as heck and weighs close to nothing on your belt. The perfect drill... it's Makita tools from now on.
When doing ceilings its almost dustfree without a vac, I used it yesterday to cut out a dozen patches in a busted up hallway, was a lot faster, straighter and quieter than all the tools Ive used to date, I think the others will become obsolete once everyone gets to know about this tool. Used to be the dusty, noisy, shoulder breaking job I hated but now I almost look forward to cutting out gib patches,

This is a fantastic tool. Very light and does the job perfectly. Ideal for any cutting of plasterboard and although it only cuts 30mm if you have to cut insulation backed then you can just finish the deeper cut with a cut off knife. Very clean cut with little dust. Even better with an extractor
Works well being cordless as my other Makita tools
Very good tool
I bought this specifically to take out parts of a ceiling to reroute cables. I am fully aware that there are power and BT cables loose on the ceiling and a great deal of micro bore plumbing. This allows me to cut through the plasterboard depth and no more. Very happy with it.
