Good value for money, but don't expect genuine Makita quality. It all works OK, some of the mechanical adjustments are a bit crude, but they do work. Personally, I don't think Makita is doing its brand image any favours with this second line product. That is not to say there is anything wrong with it, it just does not have the "quality feel" you would expect from a Makita product. If it had been marketed under a different name, I would have given it a 4 star rating.

Good value for money, but don't expect genuine Makita quality. It all works OK, some of the mechanical adjustments are a bit crude, but they do work. Personally, I don't think Makita is doing its brand image any favours with this second line product. That is not to say there is anything wrong with it, it just does not have the "quality feel" you would expect from a Makita product. If it had been marketed under a different name, I would have given it a 4 star rating.

Bang on! I went through 2 tack life circular saws in 2 weeks before deciding to change and go for a trusted brand. I have used professional makita tools in the past and have never had a problem, this is a hobbyists tool and I would say this is a bargain! It is extremely accurate and cuts are sharp and on point. I was going to buy a professional makita costing 200+ but so glad that I took the cheaper option,
This is my second makita saw they are a nice weight powerful little saw and I use this saw every day cutting 8x2timbers for roofs and have no problem with it my 1st saw is still going after 8 yrs but I cut through the cable and its being repaired
Excellent DIY circular saw. The case is generic Makpac with no inlay, but does the job. Only comes with the fitted blade, no extra.
Makita circular saw M5802 easy to use excellent saw for the money. I'm surprised its so cheap given the build quality and strength. Well worth buying.
It's overpriced. It's not easy to work with as blade is hidden and positioned opposite side comparable with mostly of present modern tools . My be if blade protector wasn't constructed like it is it actually could be a decent device , but it worth no more than half of price asked for However it's really overpriced old model.
A well made saw works fine. Cant fault it for the money. Would recommend for anyone who needs a saw for home use.
I tried to cut a piece of half inch plywood the wood started smoking as it struggled to cut through the wood my grandson who is 9yr old ran off thinking there was a fire this is not makita product. Waste of time and money.
