Manic Panic Flash Lightning 30 Volume Bleach Kit

I love this bleach. It is cheap in price but not in quality. It will 100% lighten your hair. The box comes with powder, developer, a tint brush, mixing tub, plastic cap, and gloves to work with. My hair goes past my waist, so I do need about 1.5-1.75 kits to do all of my highlights/balayage. My hair definitely has lost some of its moisture because it is a bleach product obviously, but with proper maintenance it has still been manageable. To follow up the bleach product: the problem with lightening your hair is that it often leaves brassy undertones! I have two suggestions. Follow up with Bold Uniq toner (which you can find on amazon) as directed or you can DIY a toner (cheaper but difficult). You can DIY a toner by buying a blue and purple semi/demi-permanent dye and mixing it with your favorite conditioner or hair mask! It makes SO much product and lasts pretty much forever BUT also can be iffy because it can give you a bluish or purplish tint if you keep it on too long. This worked fantastic! Not only that, it smelled nice, and had GREAT directions! That’s super important when it comes to bleaching hair. I was able to lighten my daughters hair at least 7 shades for her to do her purple streak. I left it only a half hour because I didn’t want to break her hair off, so just imagine if I left it 15 more minutes for the total time?! I’m just so totally pleased with this user/beginner friendly bleach. Totally recommend. In fact, I’ve already purchased another box for my kids next round. One thing I will note, is not a lot comes in it, I would’ve needed maybe 2-3 boxes for her whole head, but it’s great for doing a couple streaks on short hair or one on long.

I used it in high school once when I.got it in my head that I wanted pink hair. Go to the hairdresser. I know this I have multiple in my family. I was being a teenager when I used this but I am encouraging teens and everyone else to leave it to the professionals. I had very short hair at the time so the damage went away quickly. Golden rules. If you are going to bleach it then tone it. Leave it to the professionals they are trained ( they know the exact time to leave things on, what to do if ___ happens,etc etc)and practiced (daily ,at work, on all hair types) you do not know more than them. Great experience!

Like many, I have royally messed up my hair with bleach in the past, so I was very hesitant to try again. I am so glad I did because this formula is amazing! My only advice is to really follow the checking it every 10 minutes, I let mine sit for 25 and it is feeling a little crunchy (to be expected). But it got out previous color and lightened my roots great! It has everything you need in the box which is very handy. I'd only ever use bleach if you're immediately going to tone or add color after!I have shoulder length hair that is split dyed. It was just enough to do all my roots and all of one half of my head. You may need to purchase more if you have longer hair.

Great product!

I used this on my hair after using another brand of lightener that didn’t work that well. This stuff worked wonders! I have very dark hair so it’s hard to find a lightener that works and won’t make my hair fall out! This stuff works! And my hair isn’t fried, even after using this product over another bleach job. The amount they give you is so helpful too! I personally had enough to split it into two for another use. Sally’s had a great selection but this is the ultimate bleach kit in my opinion. Highly recommend!

In a pinch

I was living in a place that didn't have beauty supply stores. I ended up using this. It was ok on my roots because of the extra heat from my scalp processing it more, which actually came out like yellow/whiteish blonde. but the rest of my hair was still yellowish/Orange. My natural hair is like a level 6. It DARK auburn and VERY hard to bleach cuz it's super dark auburn & I usually use a 50vol dev. & then a level 12 toner.This product didn't give me the lift I needed to go from DARK to white blonde/platinum. I'll stick to my quick blue & 50vol for my lift. I'll Save manic panic for redepositing my color, and for my liquid foundation!Thanx T&S!

Perfect for me

As much as people say not to use kits, go to a hairdresser, etc, these are perfect for my hair. I've used both this and the 40 vol and they work soooo well. I've also had very minimal damage considering how much bleach does screw up hair. Everything is pre measured so my dumb ass doesn't have to even think about measurements. Highly recommend.

YOU MUST USE A TONER AFTERWARDS! It works when done right!

This is the best Ive ever used! Ive seen some reviews complaining about the product leaving yellow, orange or brassy undertones. After you dye your hair, youre supposed to use toner afterwards. For orange undertones, you use a blue toner. For yellow undertones you use a purple toner. Blue is the opposite on the color wheel from Orange, so blue cancels out orange tones. Same with purple. You have to purchase a toner, AND 20-30 volume developer separately. Mix 1 part toner to 2 parts developer.

this manic panic did not leave me in a panic lol. this kit came with everything I needed for a great base to color my hair with the vibrant colors I usually use. the outcome was great my hair was lightened perfectly and although it came out dry which is normal the color I put on afterwards turned out really well I am happy with this bleach kit if you have long hair get two boxes you will need them and a conditioning treatment for after you color your hair
