I purchased this receiver a couple of weeks ago. I have a pretty simple 5.1 system with two Bowers & Wilkins towers for my left and right front and my two rear and center channel are Definitive Technology with the center being powered. I have a generic 15" sub that is 20yrs old but simply punches the bass.Marantz Cinema 60 replaced my aging Yamaha RX A3020 which struggled with Apple 4k and my cable company's 4k throughput.I'm no audiofile, but movies and my spotify music are well balanced in my room, the sound is clear and immersive and has a more dynamic feel than my old receiver.I'd recommend and buy again. I love this! I replaced a 5-year-old Pioneer Elite that had started to have issues. The upgrade in sound, ease of use, and overall quality is major. The entire setup procedure, including the Audyssey adjustment, went really smoothly. The setup literally walks you through the process one step at a time. The remote is much better than I’ve ever had on an AVR, with convenient options to adjust sound, boost the dialog, etc., without having to dig through menus. Highly recommend this AVR.

I recently switched out my Rotel 1067 monster for the SR5015. While it sounded good in the store demo, I wasn't sure if it would live up to my old equipment, with its double heat sinks and 60 lbs. of heft. Well, the years have made a real difference in output. Seamless switching between all my inputs, room sound adjustments, easy to use menus and flexible connectivity to external devices make this a real winner. And that's without talking about the full, musical sound that it produces. I'm also impressed with the digital processing for games, movies and other sound categories that make my tv watching pleasant.This is was an excellent buy and a true upgrade for my surround sound system.

Contemplated this purchase for a extended period before purchasing. Didn't think it would stand up to the Marantz of old. However this model did indeed exceed my expection. It not only had the great sound that's expected from Marantz but in addition had all the bells and whistles of today's technology, self calibration, Heos, 4k and more. I am indeed enjoying

For this premium product i would expect it to be much faster, much smarter than the cheaper option and hand shake between sources should be seemless
The do not buy review for the Cinema 60 isn’t fair. The latest series unlike the SR-5015 does have some of the HDMI issues and the receiver has been updated. Also I upgraded to the Marantz from the Denon x3700 because the music with the C60 is so much better. Yes it has less inputs but I only needed a 5.2.2 Atmos setup anyway. The Denon x3700 is a killer for movies however if you listen to a lot of music the Marantz gives you that too. I am running this with B&W towers and a center with an SVS Subwoofer.
Heard so much about this brand and finally pull the trigger to replace my old faithful Onkyo. Pair this with my new B&W 706 S3 and man, this doesn’t disappoint. B&W is kind of bright and Marantz warmer sound compliment each other perfectly. Music sounds fantastic and movies are also great on this. The cinema 50 is kind over kill for what I need so this fits the requirements and the bill. I’m no audiophile but to me this unit is a winner.
Overall I love this unit. I debated between 4 and 5 stars because I've used competing units that had better clarity in the center channel. However the warmth of the Marantz CInema 60 has taken my new Revel speakers which I thought were harsh and turned them into the musical entities I knew they should be. I am amazed at what a brand of receive can bring to the table. Also, this works correctly right out of the box with no troubles. I returned an Anthem which I thought sounded a bit better but was beyond buggy. So I love the sound and I love the functionality. It's what I was hoping would happen.
I love the sound quality this unit produces. It made my speakers sound so nice. For movies and for music, both sound amazing. I bought it together with a Denon x3800h that cost the same and there’s no comparison in sound quality, even though the other has more features the sound quality doesn’t come near the Marantz. There are two things I wish were better, 1 the controller isn’t backlit and 2 The LED screen is very small. You need to use the TV to setup unless you are very close to it because the letters are so small. Very powerful, very beautiful and not so bulky design. I will enjoy my music and movies way more than before with this receiver.
